Never understood why this song is considered "disliked". Has one of the most stank-face bridge and chorus riffs, arguably one of Kirk's best solos ever recorded, and the perfect tempo for AJFA.
You must be high on bathsalts on the regular to think that's the truth. Jason Nerdstead was the bands bitch but I luved him & his insanely great bass playing!
The whole album should be remixed, then rereleased. I know t was already 2 years ago for the 30th anniversary with a lot of killer extras, but the audio should’ve remixed.
@Shallex @Carlos you both are not wrong. I slightly agree too. 2:33 I felt like somebody is knocking on the door. Yes that's true, on the left side of the ear. But it depends on the type of headphones too. Listen to FRANTIC too after listening to The Shortest Straw. Frantic song is unbelievable too.
For me is better the solo on Dyers eve, technically is more complex, has everything: fast scale runs, tremlo picking, tapping, hammer ons, full offs, full step bends on the 22nd fret ...
This is how this song should have sounded on the album. The guitars much more powerful, drums sound full and have punch. The effects on the vocals is much more audible. Great job!
I love the light reverb on the vocal track! And the reverse vocal swell just before the chorus. But I do think that the low lows are boosted a bit too much, which happens a lot with the And Justice For Jason vibe considered. I think there's a bit of overcompensation for the lows, like there's a low-shelf boost at 70Hz and below on the bass guitar. But you also brought the rattle out of the bass strings so nicely. And the re-shaping of the kick is fuckin awesome. It always had a fat ass slap to it, but it really needed that punch from the mids. Of course this is all me making my best guess, not trying to be a snob, I think this is the best remaster I've heard that brings new creative mixing/automation elements tastefully
The Bass holds up so Fing well during the solos! The chugging and double Bass is still on top of the bass there, and after a minute I can here the entire band PERFECTLY. Enjoyed in Detroit
These remix remasters are simply phenomenal. Unfortunately I don't think we will get any more of the And Justice for All songs done because Ahdy only used the 5 available bass tracks to the public. Shame, because this remix is just too good to explain. I love the vocal effects, the fixed drums, added pounding bass...this is the definitive version.
Essa voz do James agora nem se compara com essa de quando ele ainda era adolescente, no primeiro cd kill em all voz de adolescente mesmo, agora a voz dele cantando essas músicas de quando era adolescente ficam muito loka com essa voz de agora, Metallica forever
I always thought the bass guitar, being so low in the mix, made the guitars sound more distorted. Like a hypnotic effect. When I first listened to this on tape. I laid on my bed and got tired feeling, like a counteraction. And the drums are so clear and precise.
The whole AJFA album needs to be remixed AND remastered. It’s one of my favorite albums of all time, but every time I hear it, I can barely hear Jason’s bass & it really pisses me off! Remix and remaster the whole album, then re-release.
The first 3 albums of Metallica are absolute masterpieces. I do like this album aswell but this would have to be my favorite Metallica song of all. It just makes me headbang every time without fail
Saw them on this tour. Philly Spectrum with Queensryche opening. Looking back, when lights went down and blackened eased in........ The energy was so fucking intense. Denim kids just grabbing the kid next to them and thrashing out. 8000 screaming in unison. It was a controlled hysteria that ive not experienced since. Master tour was similar.
Been listening to ...and justice remixes for a long time now. I doubt that the upcoming remaster by metallica will be as epic as this one... I'm stunned...
Never understood why this song is considered "disliked". Has one of the most stank-face bridge and chorus riffs, arguably one of Kirk's best solos ever recorded, and the perfect tempo for AJFA.
Exactly it’s my favorite on the album. One of my all time favorites by them as well
The main riff, and the drums are... Uffffff ❤️
One of my all time favorite Metallica songs
And it's got cow bell
First I'm hearing of this. Did Metallica themselves not like it?
This song is one of those hidden gems in Metallica's discography.
this one and leper messiah, dyers eve, trapped under ice...metallica its just too good
This song IMO is one of Metallica's most underrated songs It's so damn heavy and the remix adds to it TY.
I love his remasters, plus since he uses isolated vocals, you can hear James' throat clearing lol
Very heavy!
They were the best metal songwriters of the 80’s. Such complexity and ruthlessness.
ruthless to mix so shitty unlike this guy
Jason Newsted feat. Metallica
Good.
Best collaboration ever made
move on
lol
You must be high on bathsalts on the regular to think that's the truth. Jason Nerdstead was the bands bitch but I luved him & his insanely great bass playing!
I subscribed after the first three notes.
Dassiswas not that u care but I was the 69th like
noice
This guys work is unbelievable
Holy fuck dude, this sounds amazing! Good job :D
Took the words right out of my mouth. This is phenomenal.Think what this guy could do to the Black album!!
@@onemoreriff7644 Cos the black album needs remixing? It's one of the best sounding rock albums ever recorded!
@@Hoscitt I agree totally, but maybe with the tech we have now, it is possible for even further enhancements.
Love your videos.
You should remaster all the And Justice for All, this album deserves to sound this good
Yeh i agree
Always has sounded good. But the bass and touch of reverb adds volume and warmth to the track.
Probably not possible seeing not all the master tracks were released to the public. Just the ones off Guitar Hero.
The whole album should be remixed, then rereleased. I know t was already 2 years ago for the 30th anniversary with a lot of killer extras, but the audio should’ve remixed.
at least 5 songs from Justice have master tracks released to the public (Blackened, ...And Justice For All, One, The Shortest Straw and Dyers Eve).
2:33 every time I listen to it I turn my head to the door to see if somebody's knocking
@Shallex If you pay attention (and use headphones) you could hear a knocking at the distance on the left
@Shallex Pay attention when the drums are getting faster
On your left there is something like a knocking
@Shallex @Carlos you both are not wrong. I slightly agree too. 2:33 I felt like somebody is knocking on the door. Yes that's true, on the left side of the ear.
But it depends on the type of headphones too.
Listen to FRANTIC too after listening to The Shortest Straw. Frantic song is unbelievable too.
LOL I AM DYING!!!!
Bruh that's not knocking, the panic slamming the door saying "LEMME INNN"
This is my favourite Kirk Hammett solo ever.
Deng Deng same here
So agree!!!!
I love this solo, very unique by kirk’s standards, the natural and pinch harmonics together remind me a lot of an Eddie Van Halen solo
For me is better the solo on Dyers eve, technically is more complex, has everything: fast scale runs, tremlo picking, tapping, hammer ons, full offs,
full step bends on the 22nd fret ...
For me Blackened
This is how the entire album should have sounded! Great job!!
JOJO!!!
@@eldetectivedel221b8 Nobody cares, you're cringe
+Johnny Jones, I love Jason's bass sound. It's a shame they left it out.
So much more juicy and monster.
400x better than the record.
Yeah they need to hire this guy, or take serious note of what the fans want to hear on this album. Bass.
J Stone lol no
except the sound engineer wanted this as well and lars and james shut him down when they made this album
00govan00 lol Yes
J Stone yeah it’s funny how they had two of the greatest bassist ever and they hid it........
3:38 you can hear james hetfields cough
X - excuse me, Burzum - War ( 0:55 )
nop
Justice is their best record.
Ride The Lightning
Best lars drumming for sure
would of been if they didn't fuck up the bass
I agree. Great lyrics, badass riffs and epic guitar solos. And Lars Ulrichs best performance, ever
MasterOfPuppets=RideTheLightning
...and justice for Jason
still cant get over what the
Baal Lodbrok well said!
So under appreciated what they did to his bass sound is criminal. Jason is a beast. And fellow michiganer
THE SHORTEST STRAW HAS BEEN PULLED FOR YOU!!!!!🤟
pULLED FOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!
lol
Wrong emoji.
Limppu Man 🤘🏻
i still use straws in my soda
this is HEAVY .. the song. the vocals, the riffs, the bass
This is how this song should have sounded on the album. The guitars much more powerful, drums sound full and have punch. The effects on the vocals is much more audible. Great job!
Not even when as a teenager I listened to this song like 30 years ago I got such goosebumps, amazing work !
The best metallica album, Jason is a monster!
NEWSTEAD IS THE F*CKIN MAN!!!! They knew it... didn't want the new guy getting too much notice LOL
I love how the drums feel like they're all around you :O
AJFA would easily be my favourite Metallica-album the bass was this good....damn you, Ulrich.
My favorite metallica song along with Frayed Ends. Thank you for doing this. It gives it so much weight
That double kick pattern at 3:00 gives the Song such a fucking violent tone
I love the light reverb on the vocal track! And the reverse vocal swell just before the chorus.
But I do think that the low lows are boosted a bit too much, which happens a lot with the And Justice For Jason vibe considered. I think there's a bit of overcompensation for the lows, like there's a low-shelf boost at 70Hz and below on the bass guitar. But you also brought the rattle out of the bass strings so nicely. Actually very good ear .. understand what you mean after listening a few more times. Its still KICKASS \,,/
I mean, the reverb on the vocals aren't that light, but other than that I 100% agree with you
I’m so glad this exists. It’s my favorite track on justice
OMG 😳. So THIC. Wish they the band would remix professionally.
AJFA is getting remastered this year, but the official remaster most likely won't sound nearly as good as this.
@@MISTERLOLCRACKERS Unfortunately, they're just remastered and not reMIXED, so the bass is still pretty much inaudible.
Excuse me now I have to change my pants after hearing this eargasmic remaster
IndianMan 777 fucking love this.this is the true Metallica
Well, your ears had an orgasm so... why change your pants?
it sounds like MOP album tone now
It’s been remixed.
This is nothing short of a public service. Fucking brilliant
This is still my favorite song off Justice! This Remix/Master is incredible! It sounds amazing! Thank you!
I love the reverb on the vox - hearing the bass on this is insane - so good!
Best remaster of Shortest Straw on youtube. Change my mind.
Here ya go!!!
th-cam.com/video/fWkNTpnXX7I/w-d-xo.html
No need to change it
Absolutely one of Kirks best Solos. It might not be the most technical but it sounds so good mixed with the riffs going on there
5:23 gave me goosebumps. that was awesome!
BEST MIX OF THE ALBUM EVER KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING
This is badass
Christian Whitmore hey I know you
😮 It's the best Metallica remix I've ever listened to! All your ones, actually, dude... Bravo!
The Frayed Ends of Sanity or Leper Messiah next?
The Frayed Ends of Sanity is impossible because the bass track are not on internet
We need to get Guitar Hero Metallica 2 on PS4
OMG Frayed Ends would be awesome with this mix
I want To Live Is To Die.
Imo Leper Messiah doesn’t need remixed, Puppets production is great
This is arguably my all-time favorite song by Metallica! Thank you for the remix. You have truly enhanced this work of art!!!!
The Bass holds up so Fing well during the solos! The chugging and double Bass is still on top of the bass there, and after a minute I can here the entire band PERFECTLY. Enjoyed in Detroit
Love your remastered versions
Been listening to your mixes man, so far I think this is your best one. You really brought out that bounce that straw has.
I'm not kidding your remasters are the best I've heard
Even on shitty laptop speakers I can hear a clear difference between the album version. I can actually hear the guitars and bass cleanly. Nice work!
Essa voz do James agora nem se compara com essa de quando ele ainda era adolescente, no primeiro cd kill em all voz de adolescente mesmo, agora a voz dele cantando essas músicas de quando era adolescente ficam muito loka com essa voz de agora, Metallica forever
One Kirks most badass Solos. It has its own riffs to go with it. How can you not like it?
#1DNR exactly
This mix just punches you straight in the face. Love it!
Possibly the best remix I’ve heard yet of a Justice tune. Well done 👍🏻
This is an awesome mix dude!🤘🏻🤘🏻
This version definitely on my funeral Playlist ✊🏿
Damn two in a day after none in a year
Panties no longer dry, thanks!!!!

Hey I'm starting a thrash metal band soon that will be called "Impetum" follow my IG it's dang_stang
@@AdrenaLukeYT good for you
holy shieeeet that bass!!!
It baffles me why Metallica has not Remastered And Justice yet! I guess that would be like Lars admitting he was wrong.
They have.... 🤔
@Shallex Maybe they won't. I think they would see it as "erasing history" or some stuff like that.
@Shallex Except they already did lol.
They remastered it but _still_ left the bass out. Said it would change it too much or something like that. BS lol
Thank you for letting me fall in love with Metallica all over again.
This is your best remaster by far amazing job
Hey man! Welcome back!!! Awesome work!
oh my god the bass sounds so beautiful
That bass is so THICC, I completely lost it.
HOLY FUCK! Sick Remaster! Keep Up the legendary work!
This is amazing! You should do Leper Messiah. I think you could really make that sound incredible.
This is the best remaster you've ever made, if you had to remaster the full album do it exactly like this
Awesome! Best bass sound!!!
I always thought the bass guitar, being so low in the mix, made the guitars sound more distorted. Like a hypnotic effect.
When I first listened to this on tape. I laid on my bed and got tired feeling, like a counteraction. And the drums are so clear and precise.
One of the best riffs in metal history. Metallicaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Best remastered version I’ve heard to date!
0:00-0:27 when your car won’t start
wtf thats so true
The best remixed and remastered version I've ever heard
Makes me think of Overkill when I hear that bass.
Dude, you need to finish this album. You’re three songs away and these sound much better than the official release
OMG...the bass.....its real ...
you sir, deserve a congratulation and a beer for your magnificent job.
Duude this sound is a punch straight in the face. So heavy
PLEASE REMIX & REMASTER THE REST OF THIS ALBUM PLEASE!! IT SOUNDS AMAZING!!!
probs say this every night, love hearing the bass track.
was gonna say it again. wow
Congrats on hitting the 25K subscribers! Deserve many more.
Hey Ahdy can you please do a remaster of Leper Messiah? I feel like you could make that song sound badass as fuck
This and the blackened one you released are badasssssss keep up the good work
Fuckyeah!!!! My favorite song ever from Metallica... And the sound is so fucking amazing!!!!
dude your remasters are amazing!
Absolute masterpiece.
I'd say this song is underrated. This, Blackened, and Dyers Eve are my favs since they're the thrashiest on AJFA.
Standing ovation*
The amount of orbs flying around.. NO DOUBT THIS VIDEO IS HAUNTED
The whole AJFA album needs to be remixed AND remastered. It’s one of my favorite albums of all time, but every time I hear it, I can barely hear Jason’s bass & it really pisses me off! Remix and remaster the whole album, then re-release.
If you pay attention, these lyrics from '89 read like absolute prophecy now.
Incredible sound!
The first 3 albums of Metallica are absolute masterpieces. I do like this album aswell but this would have to be my favorite Metallica song of all. It just makes me headbang every time without fail

First 4
THIS IS AMAZING!
Ahdy, may you hear my plee and remaster Battery? I can never find a good version.
Tarekkr Thanks ^-^'

Best ever drumming by any metal band period
Can you remake Dyers Eve
Gregory Davis He did🤘
Gregory Davis and it sounds fucking incredible!
kublaikhan1215 yeah i know i want to hear Trapped Under Ice and Devils Island now

Que lastima que sólo esta canción está así de remasterizada.
Deberían hacerlo con todo el álbum.
Amazing!!!! Bass sounds incredible!!! Drums and vocals A+ .Great job... And JUSTICE FOR ALL!!
Woah this is kinda trippy lol
That was the best cut I have heard so far! I am definitely listening to some of your others now!
Been listening to ...and justice remixes for a long time now. I doubt that the upcoming remaster by metallica will be as epic as this one... I'm stunned...
It will include no bass, man :(
Wow the bass sounds amazing here. Just an overall great mix.
