Great pod as always guys, I agree with just about everything said. I would hope we sign quality in the summer, oven ready starters at RB, CM, LW, CF and an attacking MF who can play anywhere across the final third. I would love Cameron Archer back and Ramsey on loan for instance, that is the type of quality we need and I am very hopeful. More importantly, the best signing would be Carrick on a new deal. Look forward to your next pod, up the Boro (x10)
I’d like to see us shoot from distance a little more often. We concede a lot of worldies and although that’s partly because we don’t close down quick enough it has to be that people are shooting more against us. Even if they aren’t flying in the top corner there would be more chances of getting corners, deflections and maybe a few handball penalties. Now that I say that, we don’t seem to get many penalties, is it just because nobody is ever in the box?
I reckon one of the reasons We started the season poorly is because pre season was very poor too I know pre season is about getting fit but fuck me we looked shite haha. Even that home game a week before the season started I couldn’t believe how bad we where
How many players have we had at full back? Off the top of me head coulson, O'brien, engel, bangura, van den berg, smith mcnair, jones, ayling, djiksteel, thomas. Your never going to keep goals out consistently with that much chopping and changing. All in all , considering the unavailability throughout the season, we have done well in my opinion. UTB, hopefully play offs at worst next season.
Football is all about what ifs though isnt it. If we didnt concede in the last minute of extra time against Everton in 88 then we would of played Liverpool in the next round. It is frustrating, especially some of the misses early in the season. But at the end of the day we finished about in the correct position overall, UTB
Agreed! I truly feel for the first time in a long time this coming season we are doing it I think we will start well but most importantly not lose big names and sign some little gems I don’t know why I feel so positive about this season but gut instinct tells me to believe! #UTB
