The shadow of your smile
I think that when she hangs on that 9 at the end, it gives me chills!
As usual, Sarah is singing like the #1 vocalist-musician that she is. Another stellar performance by one of my top female vocalists. I am never disappointed by her.
Vocal genius. Why we do not have singers like this anymore? Few are entitled to be called a true singer and She was one of them.
A youmg Bob James And RIP Sarah Vaughan!!!
I am sitting here doing paperwork. I wanted something to help me finish it. And look what I got Bob James on Piano and Ms Sarah Vaughan singing. What a wonderful way to express one of my favorites? So so beautiful. That Bob James trio is just plain wonderful. If this is the same Bob James with Fourplay he can transform his style with each decade as the music changes.
'Look into my eyes my love and see'...now that was sensual phrasing at the highest level and in my humble opinion, just pure genius!
H...O...L..Y...S...H...I.. T....
I'm over here in tears. Her voice is... well for lack of more intelligent words Fucking astounding!!
Her voice was magical. Singer as a jazz singer was among the rest singers like Sara Washington, earth a kit, Ella Fitzgerald, one who wore flowers to the side. All great! They made our hearts happy.
Such a beautiful song my Mother sang this in Her own beautiful style as I was growing up (in 1960"s), lots of people compared Her to Ms.Vaughan, in which it was not a stretch,( Mother did sing professionally on the local circuit New England area) with the likes of Eddie Stack Trio & The Skyliners Band, this version is dedicated to Mother Dottie-peace/love.
Her majesty 👑 Sarah "Sassy" Vaughan.
Great all time Jazz singer ❤with great vocal control
YES
A voice that will never be duplicated....
The Divine One. Still divine. Still the one.
Not only this version and her voice are supreme, she looks lovely!
She was my mother's favorite. I grew up listening to her lovely unique voice
I find myself crying to this every night 😢 im only 25
Hmmm. Such a divine sound to her voice and her poise and grace. Sarah Vaughn is what you hear when you get to Heaven.
