    Interesting comparison, thanks for posting. Pacesetter is the last of the original owner exhaust manufacturers left in the country and still manufacturing in the USA. We have grown the company consistently year after year and are just finishing a major expansion. I cant help but chuckle when I see comparisons because we manufacture these same products for several other big manufacturers in the industry. When I started watching this I thought it looked familiar and then saw your previous review, which I previously commented on. We appreciate your review, business, and the exposure.
    We have focused on affordably priced, quality headers, exhaust systems and components for over 45 years. Id like to own a corvette too, but the reality of the situation is that not everyone can afford to lay out that kind of money when they can get something for a third of the price that suits their purposes just fine. When you focus on affordability, sometimes you have to skip the bells and whistles. It is too bad that you were not able to dyno both systems for then we could really compare apples to apples. I think dyno testing would reveal less of a gap between the brands than you think.
    I agree with you 100% on your comment below regarding the Ceramic ARMORCoated headers. The gains and benefits vs not doing it vs the cost saving against other brands are worth the additional amount. Unfortunately many people go the uncoated route and then use header wrap not realizing that the use of header wrap begins the immediate rapid deterioration of the headers and violates the warranties of every manufacturer.
    Thanks again for your posts!

    I wanted to add that I had pacesetters W/ catless y pipe on my 16 Sierra and the raspiness and ticking was unbearable. No leaks or anything were found, ended up welding them up. Did you find a big difference in low rpm sound quality, idling, hwy driving under load etc? People point to the materials but pacesetter actually uses a thicker gauge steel vs kooks or ARH. I noticed people say the same thing about this sound I’m referring to with Speed Engineering and TSP.. a little less so and I think some of that has to do with the merge spike within the collector... the low sound quality is still there tho and I think the biggest reason for this is the header design. The two are drastically different...ARH/kooks,stainless works etc are all nearly mid length design where Pacesetter/SE/TSP are full length. Just thinking out loud here but will not buy another set of cheaper headers with this design and will instead save up for a nice set of ARH or Kooks. Just wanted to confirm if you hear this drastic difference I’m mentioning around low rpm load???

    So whats ur exact set up for the American racing, is it just the headers and a straight pipe? Or does it have an exhaust on it as well? Also is ur 6.2 stock or u got it modified so that its that fast

      As stated in the video description, it's a 5.3L with American racing headers, K&N intake, EFI Live tune and Corsa Exhaust

    Question...
    I usually purchase from kooks. How is the fitment with arh? Escalade esv...project vehicle

    • @APMotorsports0
      @APMotorsports0  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The fitment was very nice on mine. Y pipe doesn’t contact front drive shaft either if yours is a 4wd

      @JerseyFrank007 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@APMotorsports0 ...thanks for the info. How does the y pipe connect to the cat back? Oem flange? I'm sure it's legit.... would you say that ARH is near the top in terms of quality? I really like kooks....but they have recently switched to making customers sign a legal affidavit regarding epa regulations....to include vehicle vin #. It's completely outrageous.

      @@JerseyFrank007 the quality is certainly up there with Kooks. I have never used kooks but I know guys that use them and I have seen their products and they’re very impressive. As fare as mounting up to OEM exhaust system mine had to be welded at that point because when choosing my cat back exhaust system I chose a Corsa DB system for the 6.2 and the ARH system is for a 5.3 which is what’s in my truck so the reason for them not bolting exactly up is my fault

    How loud would u say they were? I want my truck to be LOUD but still sounds great. I love the ARH setup. I just have a muffler delete right now and I’d say that’s a 7/10. What would u say the 2 setups were?

    • @APMotorsports0
      @APMotorsports0  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      1 2 I used to have just a Corsa exhaust set up and it got way louder once the headers were installed. I think you will be very pleased with the volume of long tube headers

      Was the pacesetter setup or the ARH setup louder. What exhaust did u have with the pacesetters?

    Would you recommend pacesetter or Texas speed headers? Also you have the dB by corsa right, you just changed the tips? Have you put it on a dyno? Sounds amazing

    • @APMotorsports0
      @APMotorsports0  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Juan Sanchez unfortunately the truck has never seen a dyno. If you are going with a natural finish, go Texas speed because they’re roughly 100$ cheaper. But Pacesetter does offer a ceramic coated version which I’m highly supportive of because not only is ceramic anti corrosive, it is a heat insulator which lessens engine bay temp which then drops intake air temp. Also since all the heat is kept in the exhaust ports, it makes the exhaust gassed thinner which allows them to move faster thus also increasing volumetric efficiency. And yes it is the DB series I just put a Corsa Sport tip on it.

      Alex Perry Thank You so much for all the information. I will be purchasing the ceramic pacesetter long tube headers with y pipe since I’m removing the cats and I’m getting the dB by corsa exhaust. I also contacted black bear performance to get my truck tuned once everything is installed. Thank you again for your videos great stuff. Keep them coming best comparison videos on TH-cam

      unfortunately I have no dyno numbers but based off my "butt dyno" they both seem the same at the top end but ARH feels more torquey on the bottom end

    I think the pace setters were better

    • @APMotorsports0
      @APMotorsports0  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      That seems to be the more popular choice. The Pacesetters are Unequal Length primaries, and the American Racing headers are Equal Length primaries. The Pacesetters are also significantly more affordable.
