I agree the live version with Vince Gill is outstanding and Vince on the Guitar and his backing vocals add to the performance

This is a famous hymn and Carrie has strong faith. She first performed this with Vince Gill at an awards show. One of the best awards show performance in history.

Exactly I just made the comment that if this one TOUCHED HIM Then the one with her and Vince Gill will put him on his KNEES 🙏

I think what sets Carrie apart when she sings the old church hymns is that you can feel, see, and hear how much she means every word she is singing. I enjoy all the old hymns but just don't get all the feels from other performers as I do when Carrie sings them.

That was performed at the Ryman Auditorium which was the Grand Ole Opry. It was doing covid and that is why there is no audience. She did several songs on that Easter Sunday. That is an very old song and she has an awesome voice and I have never heard anyone sing it like Carrie - she just "feels" that song!!

Well this certainly brightens a dreary day! Get to close down early and hear Carrie, she's amazing, one of a few that brought me back to country music. I think she does an amazing job with this one, really pours her heart and soul into it. Thank you as always for this gem, love the variety you do and work put into it😊

This is originally a Swedish hymn. The rewritten English translation was made popular in North America during the Billy Graham Crusades in which musical director, George Beverly Shea, sang it along with other hymns. He was among one of the first artists to record it in the late 1950's. Thanks.

It's God buddy... And Carrie's voice for sure. You should definitely go down the Carrie Underwood rabbit hole. One of the greatest in country for sure. She's done a lot of collabs too. Please check out her songs 1. See you again", 2. 3 black Cadillacs & 3. Temporary home. My favorite collabs she's done is The Champion featuring Ludacris, and Hallelujah featuring John Legend

Hey BUD although I LOVE YOUR REACTION
YOU REVIEWED THE WRONG ONE ✅
You need to REVIEW / WATCH 🎤🎧🎙️the one where CARRIE UNDERWOOD is joined by VINCE GILL who sings background and plays an amazing electric 🎸
The difference between the two is NIGHT and DAY
if this one TOUCHED YOU the one with her and VINCE GILL WILL PUT YOU ON YOUR KNEES 🙏🙏

Hey.. I feel the same way every time i listen to it. Sometimes it brings me to tears. I grew up in church, and no one in my church sang it like that. I feel the holy Spirit when I hear this. I' m not the best Christian but we all fall short . Not to push Christianity on you, but if you want to be a Christian and Saved, You just have to Believe that Jesus Christ Died on the Cross for your Sins, and Rose from the Grave, and ask for forgiveness for your Sins . I felt compelled to say that to you. I hope I didn't offend you.
Being a Christian is hard, and we all sin daily and no one is Perfect and as long we believe, confess, and receive and try each day to do better in our walk . I need to do Better myself. Alot better. Im not pushing this on you. Just thought I'd give you this information if no one hasn't before.
The performance with Vince Gill is really good. And she also does " I told you so" with Vince Gill .
I love all genres of music.
Not sure what you are really into. Or even how old you are. If you enjoy powerful vocals I would Start with Freddy Mercury and Queen. Live Aid is a Good Live Performance. I can't think of his name but he has passed on as all the Greats have, but he was the Lead of Stone Temple Pilots at one Time, then Audio Slave. I can't believe I can't remember his name bc .. shoot. Anyway like I said I don't know what genres you are reacting to or even if you want suggestions . If I over stepped my Boundaries, I apologize..

Great reaction! I love Carrie's version of this song! I saw you reacted to Celtic Thunder a while back and was wondering if you could react to their version of Amazing Grace. If you do, please react to the newer version from the Odyssey tour. Its all accapella and sounds amazing!

Wow I hate to disagree with another country music fan but Garth Brooks was nothing more than a performer
And that song is average to middle of the road at best

If you want any suggestions i can give you some. Alot of channels are doing the same reactions. They are missing some incredible music by not reacting to them. Im 51 years old and I love music from the 40s, on up. I'm not a foodie but a " musy" I guess.
