- Today I'm running a very strong Ultra League Team consisting of Toxicroak, Tapu Fini and Steelix! Combined they have fantastic coverage against the Ultra League Meta in Pokemon GO Battle League!

@@WilderKing I totally agree! I love most of them (fantasy cup and love cup where those which I totally skipped), but two weeks are too much. Halloween cup was fun, but so long, that at the end I literally forgot which team did I run in Great League previously :D
Ultra league is also my least favourite league so I kinda don’t have too many chances for verizion

I literally just faced this team from someone who probably watched this video. Little did they know I saw it first & won because of it😂
Normally I'd spice things up every season but I'm using a consistent team which performs well in the UL. Tapu lead, cress and haxorus. I don't tend to give up switch, the key is to deal damage and get shields down and hope the backline can sweep.
That rank 6 UL Fini sure took that Grass Knot like a champ from a Cresselia

Now I realise why I've been seeing this team a lot. I have to thank you, my team is well fitted to take this one down - so it's helping me climb. It is a good team though.

How does the toxic lead work vs steelix lead?
it beats steelix in the 1 and 2 shield on a fresh fight. Counter and Mud Bomb are a great combination to beat a steelix
@@ZyoniKapologies I meant you having steelix instead as lead. Even better question how do you determine lead? What the meta shows and good counters for it? Or is it more team build centered to draw out counters to your last/sweep pokemon?

I just can’t do these teams. Everyone else can play this bulk but I’m not taking 5 minutes to play each battle.
I love Catch Cup! I am a new player, playing since 20 november 2022 and I don't have a bunch of the top meta pokemon - registeel, bastiodon, lickitung, deoxys, sableye, carbink, cresselia, venusaur, serperior, dewgong, nidoqueen etc. are all missing yet and in this week I have a chance with my "budget pokemon" to compete with the other players. I used to climb about 200-300 ELO this week. (2218 is my best score at the end of season.
IMO Problem with it is the whalers that are making XL medis, carbink, etc
Well...I run a Kanto starter team for UL, and though I'm never going to win a full set with it, it actually does pretty well for what it is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Can you tell me your current elo rn? I was using S. Dnite, Golisopod and Tapu Fini. And man am I disappointed with this team

@@Sh4dow1331 Yeah I'm leading d.nite but the leads aren't working out. And even if I win the lead it's costing me a shield. Also registeel is really tough to handle with this team.

@@S_Cyro also steelix is the bulk even as shadow and that breaking swipe is annoying but effective
Can we get legendaries out of great league? Every single dominate team has either regi, cress, tapu or deoxys. It’s so broken to have that bulk and nukes in great league.

There a reason you’re using toxicroak and Steelix with such high iv?
Don’t have a lot of xl/ good ivs for xl so using these works for now

Toxicroak always works well on feature but never when you actually play it. 😂😂 very hit or miss mon. Such a shame too cause it is so powerful in neutral scenarios.
Ultra league is probably the most boring and inaccessible meta rn. XL system desperately needs a rework

Big suprise, each match ends up being nothing but meta spamming garbage.
Electric cup is so rubbish. Like who even thinks of these? It makes no sense. Everything basically neutral. There isn’t enough variation in types for there to be a cup like it. Needs to be more electric fires, electric ice, electric ghost, electric flying types. It’s no wonder in normal GL that medi is so strong because of its coverages, even dewgong, A.slash etc. they have great coverages but electrics? They have next to nothing. Same for fire types too.
I hate Steelix so much.
