To go over the math of the Crit Damage section at 17:15, I'll lay it out here. G-Moltres starts at 10% Crit Chance and 2x Crit Damage. Crit Chance increased by items/conditions such as Scope Lens (25%), Reaper Cloth (20%), Black Augurite (Dark Rock, 5%), Luck from Murkrow Passive (20%), and Dark Synergy (50%) to total 130% (10 + 25 + 20 + 5 + 20 + 50). Since 130% is greater than the Crit Chance cap of 100%, the extra 30% rolls over to Crit Damage. The Crit Damage starts at 2x, and after all modifiers, from Dark Synergy 7 (1.00), Weather being Night (0.10), and Crit Chance Rollover (0.30) totals to Crit Damage increasing by 1.4 (1.00 + 0.10 + 0.30) for a total of 3.4 for G-Moltres.
Commenting for algorithm. It's so tempting to do the same teams at first, glad I came across this channel so I can get an idea of how to try new comps.
New team comps are always fun! I force synergies to try them out and understand them better. Really helps you know how to pivot if you ever need to. Hope you stick around, comments are always appreciated :)
Dark is very strong. I love going dark 3/5 with Wild! Also i had no idea that fairy retaliate 30% of the crit damage that they take. Got blown away in an instant on a recent match! lmao Great video!
I saw it somewhere but not sure anymore, it being mentioned could be located on the discord server. However, I went to double-check, and from the now pinned comment, the math checks out. I had forgotten to mention the luck factor by Murkrow, since luck increases the likely hood of things happening for the team, such as better shop rolls, baby egg odds, and crit chance, etc.
Dark is so meta atm I completely whiffed on my t10 today but I was already streaking with amulet coin 4 rock graveler so I picked up lunatone and hard swapped to a 6 rock dark monster steam and before the dark wild player got 2 razor fangs my lunatone would just tank everything while my rhydon and ttar cleaned up triple augurite with 6 rock effectively negated all crits
Great comment, I overlooked this in this match and it was a wasted item. My preferred item is razor claw while going more AD + attack speed and the cloth would have been better on someone else.
'wombo combo' brother, not 'combo wombo'. Think of it more like a certain kind of combo, rather than what your Facebook-obsessed aunt thinks is a kooky way of saying the word 'combo' and thinks she's being *hip* by saying that way.
Did I just get compared to a facebook-obsessed kooky aunt? I have a habit of saying things incorrectly and I'll keep at it, and yes, I do think I'm hip :)
Yes, it is now a passive team wide bonus, and now you can stack up to three of the same one or mixed varieties, they change to every new weather you encounter as well, so they can be hard to control.
Bro I'm cursed everytime I wanna play steel pawniard rookidie I get no steel regionals so I'm stuck with the common steel and magnemite it's so annoyinh
Luckily Pawniard is not regional, but sometimes luck does not give you one even if you have the rest of the team. But I know what you mean when things don't hit, like when you get a portal that has steel in it, but find out the region does not have steel at all and feel robbed lol

Yeah, it can creep up on you with fairy teams, a fairy stone wailord and chansey really caught me off guard one match haha
17:58 that fyi was great ty
I should have mentioned more, but was worried about it becoming a slide show. A full in depth look at the values now posted as a pinned comment.
Great Video. Hardly ever play Dark and was surprised to learn that the excess crit chance gets converted into crit damage.

This is so interesting. I’m going to have to look into this now. Somehow TH-cam gives really good recommendations sometimes.
I'm glad it was a good recommendation :)
accidentally started liking dark. was playing houndoom in fire with dragon. really liked him and started pivoting to dark, saved my game
The King Gambit though. T5 final evolutions are always fun to get
Nice match, gonna have to try dark again
informative king

The cloth on pawniard is kinda wasted. It's spell already grits by default.
extra 20% crit chance doesnt hurt tho ;)
@@tauabn in the end it probably didn't matter this game, yeah

@@PAC-Shank Yeah, probably the Razor Claw, Scope Lens, and maybe a Stardust or a Fluffy Tail would have been perfect
@@TurtleneckSweater-tw7hw You might see a combo of this in the next vid lol

gonna start saying combo wombo

God damn bro get over it it’s not that big of a deal💀
Gtres is a counter to bug houndoom and baynette
Couldn't you have given Rhydon the Black Augurite for the crit chance+power?
You cannot give weather rocks to Pokemon anymore since the weather rock rework in 5.7
