This was my first time going here during the day. Since there were no people around, I was able to take my time and look around each store, which was fun. I was surprised to see some shops open.😳
I watched this video twice. Golden Gai is a unique place. It's confusing to know which bar to go to. You need to have someone guide you. The stickers and graffiti on the walls makes it look like a tough area. Some of the bars said members only. I think this is do to the bar tender only speaking Japanese. Thank you for showing us Golden Gai. I hear that this is the area that the locals go to because the prices here are less then what's on the main strip.
Thank you😁 It's been a while since I last visited, but I'm glad that the store I used to go to is still there. It's true that you won't know where to go without a guide.😂 I think it's interesting that the ward office is so close to such a deep area. Personally, I felt that the small area called ”28:10 思い出の抜け道/Omoideno Nukemichi'' had a deeper atmosphere, so I think I'll go there for a drink next time.😁
woa~ a super interesting area where each bar has very unique character. Thank you for filming golden gai and Shinjuku around it. people in golden gai are crazy about putting stickers everywhere 😂
I went during the day because I thought there would be a lot of foreign tourists at night and I might not be able to take my time to look at each store.😄 It's been a while since I last visited this area, but it still has a unique atmosphere.😁

Indeed, it says 東京媽祖廟! You were able to notice it well!😳 I have been to that temple.😄 When I come across a Taiwanese shop while taking a walk, I think of you.😄 Oh,“不夜城” is so nostalgic! I first learned about Takeshi Kaneshiro 金城武 from a Hong Kong movie called “恋する惑星”こいするわくせい(Chungking Express) There seems to be an oyster bar called "不夜城" in this "思い出の抜け道/omoide no nukemichi", so I'd like to go there someday.😋
@@sozorowalk According to what I read, in the 60s there was a 不夜城 club on 花道通り/Hanamichi do-ri. I couldn't find where it was or if it has connection to the oyster bar though. I had some fun reading some history of Kabukicho after this walk. I will never guess Chungking Express's title can be 恋する惑星 ! 😄 It's named 重慶森林 in Chinese.
@@mthsu The history of Golden Gai and Kabukicho certainly looks interesting. Is there a place like Golden Gai in Taipei? I have the impression that Taiwanese people don't drink as much alcohol as Japanese people...😗 In Japan, the titles of foreign films can change significantly.😅
@@sozorowalk I am not familiar with bar culture. In general it is indeed much less drinking I think. Common office workers don't end a day in a bar or izakaya. Some businessman and some profession do go out to drink for building relationship with their customers. So there are some places to go to after all... but I have no clue... Taipei do have an area equivalence to Kabukicho, called 林森北路(リンセンペイルー) Common Taiwanese probably are more used to yatai or 夜市 culture. While bar culture is a lot less common.
@@mthsu Thank you for letting me know. I've had drinks at 林森北路 several times.😄 There are also a lot of shops for Japanese expatriates in this area, right? The last time I visited Taiwan, I went to 熱炒 several times. It was great to drink beer while watching people pass by in the summer dusk.☺✨
@9:37-MY MOST FAVORITE ALLEY!! There’s a white cat that peeps out the bar window here!! Totally adorable cat!!! ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow, you've been here before.😄
A white cat looking out at the street from the bar window...😺
It's like the beginning of a novel.✨
Be careful with the extreme rain recently! 気を付けてね
ありがとうございます!😄
Recently, it often rains suddenly in large amounts in Tokyo.
It seems that last night was also a disaster with flooding in many places.😵
this part of kabukicho is actually more interesting to look at during the day, but not quite as exciting a place to be as it is at night
