Uncle Werner would let Mom know when he would start burning slag (the broken tree branches surrounding the ranch), keeping all that tender cleaned up helped keep forest fires under control something the native Nez Perce also did. She gave him her cast iron which he added to the bon fire, it would take days to cool down, the pans came out looking new, then Aunt Emma would " season them" and Mom got clean pans back.
I’ve had Lagostina stainless steel pots and pan set that I invested in when I was single. 30 years later and still going strong. There are great cleaners to give them a good scrub when needed. Saying that as empty nester and post menopausal, I’m so tired of cooking and meal planning 😢
🤔 thank u for your tips... I have a large and small iron skilets that belonged to my grandmother & mother...they are great to cook in...l agree about not using the non stick pans... toxic to birds much less to humans... I enjoy your videos....thank u ❤❤❤
I loved everything about this video!! My husband does all the cooking because he is a Certified Chef, he went to college at the CIA in Hyde park New York! That’s for sharing all your kitchen essentials! Have a great day!
I love all things kitchen and cooking. We are lucky that there is a Penzys store close by and I have been using many of the spices for years.(I'm 65).One of my favorite cookbooks is Ina Garten.I got a Magnolia cookbook for Christmas.Thank you for sharing Tiffany.
You are right on the spot for stainless steel and cast iron cookware! I have tried several pricey non-stick cookware and you can’t put those on high heat for searing, caramelizing, stir frying- the non stick coating can’t handle the heat. We gifted our son-in-law the HexClad set (he is a chef) and he is loving it! And good knives- the best knives mean longer times between sharpening, we have Misen and Forschener. To me, a successful kitchen means quality cook and bake ware and knives- the other things are “fluff” though I do love my “fluff”.
I love my all clad pans. They are an investment but they are lifetime pans. I am still building my collection also. The cookbooks are beautiful. That seasoning sounds amazing ❤❤❤
Loved the video and the items you showed. I don't enjoy cooking as much now. But I have all the cooking gadgets and cookware my kitchen can handle. Thanks for sharing all of your favorites.
I put the knife sharpener on my list! I received an Instant Pot for Christmas, I'd love it if you did some cooking shows using yours. We have a toaster oven style air fryer. I did add your charcuterie board to my Amazon wishlist. I've been watching a southern lady recently on YT (Meme's Recipes) and she has a cookbook that I LOVE. She'll be releasing another one any minute now. Just down home good cooking. I love to read real estate and architecture books. My most recent was a book by Paul Williams, who was an architect involved in developing much or Beverly Hills. I also have one that I love on the architecture at Disney World. I have a bookcase built into my kitchen to hold my cookbook collection.
Love the video and great suggestions! 💕 I love to cook and enjoy reading cookbooks too. Molly Baz “Cook this Book”, Half Baked Harvest “Super Simple”, The Pasta Queen, and “Wine Lovers Kitchen” are just a few of the ones I find myself reaching for more than others. Thank you again for a wonderful video 😊
I got HBH’s Super Simple for Christmas and it’s hands down my favorite of the 3 of her cookbooks that I have. I think I’ve made 15 of her recipes in the last month!
I’m the chef of the family. Love the kitchen… definitely the heart of the house. Wanting my dream kitchen one day. Thank you for sharing your favorite items loving them.
Love this sharing of your kitchen favorites. Can’t wait to try the seasoning. I have an AC wok which I use daily for cooking veggies, stir frying rice and steaming whole fish.
love watching your videos, I use to be the cook but since 2020 my husband has taken over the biggest part of cooking due to me having cancer. it is an adjustment to have him doing the biggest part but he is really enjoying he is a cook that is very much into healthy eating! I am finally able to eat alot more at this point so I am just sitting back and relaxing with it for now!! Keep the videos coming!!!
So enjoyed this video! I love cooking in my iron skillet! One belonged to my mother, and the smaller one was a wedding gift (51 years ago!). I always bake my cornbread in my iron skillet, just as my grandmother did! Comes out perfect every time! I don’t have an air fryer nor an instant pot, have looked at both several times but cannot seem to justify the cost. Thank you for sharing your thoughts on all these ♥️
Hi Tiffany! Such a great video with valuable information. I especially love the containers for the sugar/flour. That is something I could use. I do not have an air fryer, so you are making me think about investing in one. I have one piece of constructive criticism (please take it that way because I do mean well by it)...the salt well and cooking with salt in general. I love salt as much as others do, but after an acute stroke at age 50 and seeing specialists at the University of Michigan and learning what salt does to our bodies I now cook without it. We have so much added salt to foods we already consume. I realize it makes everything taste better, but it you could change the path of cardiovascular disease for yourself and your children, omitting salt would be my #1 suggestion! HUGS!!! Love your videos!
Good morning sunshine! I loved this inspiring video and may I say you look so beautiful this morning ! You are so calm and refreshed and you have a beautiful glow! You look amazing, my friend! No,Tiffany I cook as little as possible. It's just me and I'm getting up in age. I really don't eat that much but I totally enjoy watching you cook, clean and redo your lovely home. You always do such wonderful projects. Everything just looks picture perfect. I can't wait to see the pantry redo! Always busy! Catch ya in the next one sweetie! ❤
Hi Tiffany! Fantastic video, such great information and ideas! will be splurging and ordering that stainless steel pan! Love your videos and always look forward to them!
Could not agree with you more, I cook 95% of our meals at home and cast iron and all clad are a must. It’s been years since I cooked with non stick (Eww) Lol. I found a knife brand called Henckels and their knife block comes with a built in sharpener, so wonderful. I have most of the must haves on your list, but a few I don’t have so I made my shopping list to get those😝 Erin French cook books, she runs the restaurant “The Lost Kitchen” in Freedom Maine, very different recipes but we love trying them. ❤
I love all your videos, but this one is my favorite so far!! ❤❤❤ Thanks for sharing such fun and useful items! I have one All-Clad pan that I love - it’s a 1-quart saucepan, so it’s tiny, but I use it all the time. It was only $19.99 from Williams -Sonoma about 20 years ago, lol! Thanks again for making these videos - you’re doing an amazing job!!
I really enjoyed this video! I love to cook, so I was interested in seeing the kitchen must haves of someone else who enjoys cooking. We feel the same about so many items! Cast iron skillets are an absolute must! I enjoy reading the Gooseberry Patch cookbooks, they include crafts and memories along with some great simple recipes.
Hello Tiffany!!! Enjoyed this video!!! We are empty nesters so I don't cook like I did when my kids were home. But when the kids come home for holidays I cook their favorite's. I've always enjoyed cooking but it's diffently different cooking for 2. This time of year I love cooking soups. I use my iron skillet to cook corn bread it makes it delicious!!! The only cookware I use is stainless steel and iron. I feel their the healthiest for us!!! Take care and God bless!!!
I love to cook, love trying new recipes. Magnolia cookbooks are great. Tried the breads recipes, and they are delicious. Do you have a weekly meal planner suggestion; free printable? Thanks for sharing what works for you in the kitchen.
I loved this video, great suggestions. I have quite a collection of cookbooks as well. Some of my favorites are local church and organization ones. They have such great handed down recipes in them. I totally agree about owning a cast iron skillet, pan. It is a must! I am the cook here, I have a son who graduated from culinary school and life was delicious until he moved out, now married with 2 beautiful little girls! I enjoy cooking, but more so when my 4 kiddos were young, it's just the 2 of us now. Thanks for sharing your suggestions! By the way, I love your sweater!!! ❤
Aw man, wish this came out sooner, I got the ceramic pot and pans set for Christmas 😔. I’ve been looking for a good knife set, instant pot and more cookbooks. Idk why, but, I have a thing for cookbooks, so many i haven’t tried anything from either, I can’t buy one if my husband is with me, lol. Thank you soo much for sharing great products
It’s just my husband and I now. And he doesn’t eat leftovers too well. So I don’t go to a lot of trouble. I just had a houseful of visitors. And I cooked and cleaned a lot. Or my granddaughters cooked and I cleaned up after them. I gave my old knives and a knife sharpener to my oldest granddaughter. I need to buy another one. I have one of the long things to sharpen my knives on. But I don’t know how to do it that great. So I’m not going to use it. I have my knives in a knife block. I use a Racheal Ray EVOO ceramic bottle. And it’s full of extra virgin olive oil. I use battery powered salt and pepper shakers. I used to have a salt pig. But my salt would stick together too much. I have high blood pressure. So I tend to not season my food a lot. I let people do it at the end of a meal. And I use more pepper than salt. I don’t use my instant pot. But I do use my air fryer a lot. I have two. A small one, and a large one. I never put French fries in my oven. I always use my air fryer. I have so many cookbooks. I filled one of my shelves in my living room with some of them. We use the Betty Crocker one we got as a wedding gift over forty years ago. And also Better Homes and Gardens. We got that as a wedding or shower gift also. I have the Half Baked Harvest one. I just bought a cookbook from a girl who is on You Tube. She makes easy good recipes and does videos on Sundays. Her name is Julie Pacheco. She just came out with a cookbook. So I bought it to add to my collection.
I don't even own a skillet that's not cast iron. One of mine was given to me when I married by my mother, who had used it for many years. When I asked her where she got it this is the story she told me ~ Just after the depression they lived in the country in deep SE Texas. A lady walked down the dirt road carrying the cast iron pan and knocked on her door. She asked Mother if she would trade a bunch of turnip greens from their garden for the skillet. People were hungry. Mother allowed her to pick all the greens she needed.
I absolutely love your suggestions and I already have quite a few❣️❣️ I would like to suggest the pioneer woman. Dinner is Ready, by Ree Drummond ❣️ it won’t disappoint ❣️❣️
Tiffany, what a wonderful helpful video! You always look beautiful in your video I'm loving the outfit you're wearing today looks beautiful on you!
Totally agree about cookbook’s! 💕 I have a small bookshelf full of cookbooks. Some are from my grandma, so there 70 or 80 years old.
That is awesome!
Loved loved loved this video! And you always look so presentable, such a beautiful Momma!
Thank you so much!!

What a lovely young lady you are.
Your Mom needs Hearth and hand cookbooks, I have zero 😳🫶😘
Ooohhh…. I love to cook! I just can’t with penzy - their CEO is just so polarizing with his comments… :(
I totally get it. I just ignore it.
It's probably just me, but the phrase 'to die for ' is annoying. It just triggers me. There are just certain sayings that are irritating. 😂
Thanks for letting me know!
