There's something magical about the dishonored series that is quite hard to explain. It feels like a living breathing world with all its intricate nooks and crannies that you can get yourself lost in. There's never a shortage of things to discover and mechanics to experiment with. Part of you just gets left behind when the credit rolls. The worldbuilding feels realistic if you put any of its unique mechanisms into the real world.
I wish more people would realize this, but they rather play stupid games like fortnite or Candy Crush. Even this little shot the sound the Environment the waves hitting the docs. Even that is so great. I hope games like this never dies and outlive the stupidness.
I knocked out everyone in A Crack In The Slab, both during the night of the ritual and the alternate present where Stilton was alive. The manor is so unbelievably pretty when you don't have to deal with being spotted.
Personally I prefer these ambience tracks with characters and chatter, but yeah it does work great without them too, just close your eyes and enjoy the coast ya know?
Wonder how many people missed the sneaky Witches apartment at the very beginning area of the docks with the painting of High Overseer Campbell in. Its the same painting from Dishonored 1 that you see Sokolov painting at the very beginning.
I guess no one expects to find something so they don't look up. Actually I noticed it myself when i finished the game like over ten times using keyboard and mouse and tried to play with a gamepad just to wander and glance around smoothly. Developers truly did some work on adding random rooms to explore, a shame it does not help the atmosphere which is clearly not a dystopia like in the first game.
@@darall7758 not a dystopia? The city is under what amounts to military occupation, the citizens are forced to work in terrible conditions across the entire island for the sole benefit of the aristocracy, there is an unchecked level of blood flies that the government refuses to take seriously and don’t forget that the abbey is up to its typical witch hunting business. It’s not the same as dunwall during the rat plague of the first game, but it would still be a hellish environment to live in and is pretty well dystopian
This is one of my favorite Dishonored series ambient videos, as it has it all... multiple excellent views, ambient sountrack, ambient nature sounds, ambient game sounds, and some ambient level activity. Only way this could be improved at all would be higher resolutions.
Hey! Im going to ask because this is almost exactly what im looking for, but could I use this for my Twitch channel I'm setting up? It's exactly what im looking for and I would love to try to get you more exposure as well!
I had so much fun here feeding people to the fish. Sometimes I'd pull them back out when they were only partially eaten and drop them in front of a random gang of civilians to make them scatter so I could hunt them down one by one.
@@crackedoutjindosh8078 I assume you ran through the game giving everyone hugs and kind words and didn't creep up behind anyone and stab them through the face?

Is it only me or the vibe the ingame appartements and architecture have is like SUPER nostalgic?
As if I lived there, something out of childhood
I feel you, and Korvo lived here as a kid too
This game is an underrated masterpiece
looking at these areas and knowing how many people you had to knock out/remove to get them empty really makes me appreciate them even more
they be sleeping with the fishes now

Trust me, there's a lot of random places you will find even on your 20th playthrough.

@@darall7758what? It's dystopic AF, it's just in a warmer environment and the music is more calm than menacing
I listen to this video once a month for the last couple of years and it brings me peace and quiet the thoughts
thank you for uploading it

@@EricssonRotaryBiscuit yes I went non-lethal how could you tell?
@@crackedoutjindosh8078 Then you only got half the experience.

30 minutes is too short 😩
