Almost exactly a year later, I am FINALLY level 350. It had been sooo long I was thinking, I needed only 315 and was surprised when I went to claim the backpacks. Anyway, WOO!! So now I'm back here to figure out how to put it all together :)
Don't need any guides for most of the games content, but still watch your guides anyway. I just like the way you explain things. You really have a talent for that.
I have a friend who just made this and he did it over the course of the summer. One thing he recommended (and did himself) is find a WvW guild to run with. The one he's in does WvW runs several times a week for 4-6 hours each run. If you just went on your own and hoped to find a zerg, it might take you longer to get this.
Thanks for the guide! Just finished mine all these years later. @2:49 I bet your rank screen must be footage from long ago because you are only 151 not the 350 required for commander tag.
Great guide! Super useful to have the info in video form to go along with the wiki! I am currently working on Ascension so I'm looking forward to the release of that video too. WVW leggies take time.... so much time.... like, a lot of it haha. I think I'm gonna stick to PVP leggies for the moment, but am definitely gonna come back to this when I want to chase cosmetics for fashion wars. Thanks Muk for another great guide! - Vrangor
I have the pvp back piece. I got it before i retired from the game. I returned back and saw your content, you are very helpful. Its like i forgot the game after so long and you are reminding me stuff. Anyway please make the guide for the pvp one, i want to get an idea of how long it took me.
The part in rick astley's "never gonna give you up" when it goes "never gonna give never gonna give".. This is me singing "never gonna get never gonna get"
Ah yes, the commander tag. I scrapped enough gold together for that on my main. Within a week Anet changed it from character bound to account bound and upped the price. My former guild mates w/ their 2-4 tags were so mad.
Honestly, WVW legendary is arguably the easiest to make cuz there's no barrier for it. For fractal you need to have a good build/ fractal knowledge, and good party to do fractals efficiently. For pvp you need to have real pvp skills/ high reflect , which is surprisingly hard to come by. (I still feel my pvp skill is absolute shit ever after making the pvp legendary. Not joking) For WvW, all you need to do is play wvw every week for 8 weeks, and that's it. You pretty much only need time for it and nothing else.
Honestly the PvP one you don’t really need that much skill. I’m a Gold 3 player and I have it. If you’re really good then obviously it’ll speed up the process, but you mainly just need to keep playing and hope your team wins lol, especially when using a class that isn’t your main.
WvW is verses Npc's With pre determined moves and skill sets. if you're t4 most players in Fractals have enough dpos that even if your build sucks they will carry you thru. In what reality do you exist in which you think doing PvE fractales is skill based? PvP is jsuty using a meta build and requires just pressing a few buttons. If you do WvW in any compacity that is with the intention to be usefull to your team and not just there for Xp then you wouldn't just say that its just a time check. I Imagine your WvW is less than 25 with that thought process.
@@FervorGaming Frankly I disagree on the WvW part. I'm quite bad at PvP stuff in MMOs (which includes WvW) because I don't want to take the time to learn about the other skills that I will face and how to counter them. I just got myself a full exotic build for a boonbrand, I join zergs on my world, stick close to the commander and just properly rotate my stability and aegis, that does 90% of the job. The main trick is to find a good commander, and at least on my world it wasn't really hard to come by. And even if our zerg loses a fight, it doesn't really matter, all I need is to maintain a T6 participation (which is easy since even when you lose a fight you usually get a kill or two), make sure I have my reward track boosters activated (Snowflake gobbler, XP booser, Celebration booser etc...), and that's fairly easy, it's just about doing WvW more than a few hours per month. Since memories of battle can be bought from the trading post, I'd say the mystic clovers are actually what take me the longest to get, now that I have done all the reward tracks with more than 2 clovers.
@@FervorGaming Yeah, I am a bit late the the party, but the guide is still muklin' usefull for lots of players, hell I got into the game like 1 year ago and started my leggies thanks to Muk's videos, so the comments might still be of some use to a few players ^^
Hello, quick question. What if i destroyed Recruits and Soldiers Wings of War after i bought them? can i use transmuted ones in misticforge or do i need to buy them once again?
I was looking into the wiki page, and in the Warbringer page, in front of "Commander's Wings of War" it says "Must have used a Commander's Compendium". But then in the Commander's Wings of War page it reads "Only available if you are at least WvW rank 350, unlocked General's Wings of War, and own the commander's icon or catmander's icon." Was there any change in the requirements and now either commander and catmander work? Or is there an error in the wiki?
I am meiking it now myself. And i am on halfway, i mean on Skirmish Claim Tickets. As i anderstood we need Comander Tag; and if we have Cat-mander Tag wich cost 150 gold than we are on half way. I run WvW in PvE gear/build and haven't really had a problem with it. Not to say I don't die ever, but not nearly as much as you're suggesting. I would argue it depends on your build and skill level.
I go with my PvE gear just fine following commanders or going alone. If there is a fight between zergs, I just leave the group to kill guards, kill dolyaks or conquest ruins. Moving together as a big team is fun and very profitable but in the end, I just want to keep my participation at tier 6 and keep repeating the gift of battle track.
