Thank you for sharing this. So happy to see animals thriving alongside human. Definitely more awareness n education on conservation needs to be done n U have done just that. Great job!
@@Leahw88 thank you so much for this really nice comment ❤️ Really happy to be able to share about our many overlooked animals in Singapore, and I’m glad this resonated with you! ❤️❤️
Yeah I saw online that sometimes a couple of them will venture to other neighbourhoods!! Especially since their animals that move around a lot! But thankfully so far, as from what I know - they haven’t settled into a long-staying populations in other areas! 🙏
Kind of curious about the variable squirrel being aggressive and chasing away the local species. I've seen a pair of them around the same tree as a different squirrel
Wahhh when and where was this!! That’s pretty cool! But hmm Variable Squirrels can come in varying fur colours (more brown/more white) too, so could it be just another pair of Variables? Or was it the Plantain Squirrels with the stripes on the side?
@@LittleRedJungle It was a few years ago near a residential area. Hmm, it could potentially be another Variable with a different morph. It was almost fully brown with lighter markings around its eyes and snout but I don't remember it having any stripes on the side 🤔
Bidadari (Angel)was before a Muslim cemetery.During hari raya my family went to visit our late grand mother grave.Yeah,I used to saw some beautiful creatures,Jumping from branches to branches. And I didn't know that finlayson squirrel still exists till now. 🐿️
Bidadari is not angel but houri. What is an houri in Islam? A houri is an extremely beautiful young woman. In Islam, a houri exists in Paradise as a divine companion for those believers who have died. The houri is an important figure in Islam, appearing several times in the Quran.
Aw yeah sometimes a few might venture out!! But from my understanding, it’s just Aljunied and Bidadari/Woodleigh that has a longstanding population! 🙏☺️
