    Back in the spring I watched one of your zero waste videos and ordered some stainless steel straws. They came in a pack of three so I keep one in my cupboard for my morning smoothie and carry the other two in my purse for when my husband and I go out to eat (which we cannot currently do, but did over the summer). I kept track of how many plastic straws we saved. From May 29 to the end of the year, we saved 256 straws from a landfill. I feel pretty good about that! Thank you for your inspiration, Christine!
    (I was also able to use a stainless steel tiffin - which I also got after watching your video - for leftovers a couple of times. LOVED doing that instead of using Styrofoam!)

    Going down the TH-cam wormhole I somehow managed to watch an old episode of Hoarders just now....and then felt the absolute NEED to come here and watch a minimalist/cleaning vid 😂

      I feel you 😂 But it makes me sad to watch those hoarders...

      @@dominiquetheeasyminimalist oh my goodness yes! I just want to send them all to therapy bc just cleaning everything out doesn’t solve the emotional issues the person has.

    I feel like if you love to cool, then the kitchen is the one room in the house where things get used the most. I could hardly find anything to get rid of because we use everything a lot ☺️

    Thanks so much for sharing, Christine! Your channel is an inspiration 💕 I'm currently working on my next TH-cam video (started my channel 10 days ago) and the way you share your way of thinking and day-to-day inspires me a lot. Please keep up the great work! P.S.: commenting for the TH-cam algorithm... hope it helps 😃

    I went through my cabinets in November but I have to do it again. I got a ton of stuff in plastic packaging from the food pantry which must have had a deal with Hello Fresh. So picture 1/4 cup of rice in individual packaging. Not fun. It’s a ton of stuff like that.

    Hi Christine, are you using your dishwasher like a drying rack in this video? (I was wondering if you wash your wood cutting board in a dishwasher?) i love your idea to clip your gloves there to drip too! Thanks for the great videos!

      Thanks Robin! Yup, it's a drying rack 90% of the time we use it (:

    Just came across this video, tfs.
    I'm sure you know this, but some medications don't do well next to a heat source. You may want to relocate some of them.🙂 Ok back to the video!

    Hi Christine! Thank you for your video's. They are a welcome breath of peaceful air on youtube :) i have a question: we (my boyfriend, 9yo son and myself) live in a very small appartment. Decluttering is not new to us but I would like to have some good and especially sustainable ways for storage and organisation. We live very small so mason jars are hard to fit in our cabinets. I'd love to have a cohesive and 'zen' look but the storage/organisational stuff I find are either plastic or veru bulky and won't fit. Do you have any good recommendations?

    • @simplybychristine
      @simplybychristine  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks so much! If you can find glass, wood, or metal containers that can stack on top of each other, that may be worth investing in. When I can't fit things, vertical is usually the way to go. The container store might have some ideas you can look into too (:

    Hi just wanted to say I love your videos :) Just a note though, I just noticed that your email newsletter (with new posts etc) sends us to your blog which is great, however the TH-cam video loads straight in your blog and can't be "liked" unless we click on TH-cam then we can like it. Just thought to bring that to your attention :)

    • @simplybychristine
      @simplybychristine  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey there! Thanks so much for subscribing to the newsletter. You're right about it being more difficult to like the post when it goes straight to the blog. Not sure if there's a way around that but will be on the lookout!
