It's a crime to take kids into seminary while still teenagers. A person shouldn't be accepted into seminary until he's at least 25. That way he has some idea of who he is and what he wants in life.
The confession box is out dated . Time we can have a reconciliation or confession service . The confession box is unatural . We would not do it in other circumstances . Today's generation how many continued to be active in the faith. I believe there should be a choice of a open reconciliation service . Our Church needs more interaction for young people . In the mid 1990's, my spiritual father told me that I needed to discern my vocation with the Legionaries of CHRIST. I attended a summer candidacy at Cheshire Connecticut. It was strange to say the least. The candidates sleep in a big room in cubicles with its own shower and sink. The toilets were at the end in a separate room. They had rooms where novices met with their teachers that looked more like the old glass phone booths. We were told to wear shorts when showering. The lack of privacy was understandable untill the news broke about Nuestro Padre (our father) Marcial Maciel. I met Nuestro Padre that summer at Cheshire. I remember how the Legionaries treated him like a rock star with the same devotion the Peoples Temple had for Jim Jones. It was spooky. However, I remember little about Marciel Maciel. At the end of the summer, I was not selected and sent home without explanation. It is tragic how that devotion was abused by the founder for his sexual perversions. What he did was horrible.

Is making poeple jealouse, Maciel playing his preists off each other, a instrument of the manipulative? I think it is, I have seen other manipulative people use jealousy. I suffered psychological abuse at the hands of the legion in one of her universities in Spain in 2011. That made me walk away from the church. Thankfully I’ve come back as the church and the faith is mostly good and I don’t want a rotten apple to ruin my life

At my school which was all girls, they had a priest tell us about sexuality and the types of kissers we would encounter. I got up and left and they all assumed I was a lesbian.

I havve suffered from the Legions verbal abuse and would like to talk of their methods here is one of them. I read that asking people to deny themselves is a part of brainwashing and have, with the militants of the Legion and othe rcatholic militants, found out what this consists of. Here is an example of the mechanism of being asked to deny yourself. my example is that I was told that i did not love my grandmother but only visited her, when she was old, for her money. Getting people to deny themselves means you chose a subject in which people are likely to have a lot of motives for an act and try to persuade them the worst one is the real one. In this case I that I wanted her money. They hope to confuse peole into denying the better of their motives. In this case i was lucky because i knew she did not have any money to give, so I could not have mixed motives for seeing her, her money was all tied up and out of her control. Normally one might like the money of a realation and love them and feel compassion for hteir lonelyness in old age for example. I was told i did not really love her. Told, that I only thought I loved her because my subconscious wanted to mask my greed. They pretended, that they knew more about the depth of my mind than I did. Psychology tells people they deceive themselves so that this is possible sounds like something that might happen. How do you know when you are deceiving yourself and when not? I think you do know when you are deceiving yourself, you have some small doubts about yourself, you still can have mixed motives. Not letting people do you down is part of self respect and soemthing tha tmust be developed in our young however, not listening to the criticism of others is to, maybe become unreal, you need to be tight rope walking. You should not overbalance too much either way. I imagine that they choose to talk of love and not compassion in regards to my feeling for my grandmother when hse was old and alone because that confuses their victims more than talking of compassion does. When the company of others is less gratifying, than it can be, as when a person is old and less amusing, you can doubt that it is love you feel. I was dead sure howeverr that i was sorry for my grandmother. If you have a family member in the Legion then you find out how much you love a family member who did not make you feel that many lovign feelings because you feel your horror about what they are doing, how they are hurting others, in a way you would not feel it for a person without that family bond. So, I now know you do love others sometimes when you arent much feeling that love as warmly as you do when a person is amusing and helping you. The point of making people deny thenselves, for sects and totalitarian groups like communists who wish to brainwash you, is to make the person they target feel that not only they themselves are inadequately good but also that their upbring was wrong, so their culture and family were wrong or they would have had better motives, so they need a new culture, they need the Legionaires teaching or communist ones or what ever. Being asked to deny yourself as well as divorcing you from faith in yourself and your education, is also painful. You remember the nice person you were and dont want to betray that person´the former you. Another part of brainwashing is to torture people, heaven only knows why people join a group that tortures them but it seems they do. Denying yourself is painful so helps them to brainwash you in two different ways.

I think you may have confused him with Bishop James I Wedgwood who was accused of molestation and resigned. Bishop Leadbeater was attacked for advising adolescents that they may masturbate to relieve sexual tension. Any organization grouping people of similar irrational beliefs will exclude critical thinking and is ground to any abuse or crime it's authorities could see in it's self interest to ignore or promote. I believe in the core goodness of the Catholic Church. Just like any organization, there are bad eggs and sometimes the rot gets into the system. But over-all, it is good. And though slow, the Church is also addressing the evils that try to destroy it.

I grew up attending a private Catholic boarding school, where I made nothing but wonderful memories. The sisters were exceptionally kind, loving, and intelligent, and they were outstanding teachers, both in terms of curriculum and life lessons. I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience. I acknowledge that, like in any community, there are bad individuals, but I refuse to generalize or unfairly judge everyone. It puzzles me why people always make a big deal about those who make mistakes, but we rarely hear about all the good Catholics have done. For instance, they have established numerous hospitals, schools, and charitable organizations worldwide, providing essential services to the poor and underprivileged. Catholic Relief Services, for example, offers aid and development assistance in over 100 countries, and the work of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity has brought hope and care to countless destitute individuals.
I had not that experience at all, the priest & nuns were cruel, mean, & didn't help me as i struggled in school. They were like this to my siblings as well i belive for sure it was because we were poor.

I fear that many people think. "Well it is not very nice for little boys to be abused but I imagine that afterwards ,everything gets forgotten and they go on to be normal adults. The question of abusing children needs to be seen in light of what the men who talked to the Boston Globe about their own cases say about such abuse because they tell of the l[problesm the abused children had in later life. They knew what happened to other children who had been abused in their class, and they say that the abuse had lead to such things as, to boys leaving home to live in the street as teenagers and in adult life to problems with drugs and alcohol and to suicides. He, at the time of the abuses, had told his parents about it and his parents had been shocked that he would wish to so blacken the priest, after which he had been so afraid of letting the cat out of the bag about the abuse that he had wanted to commite suicide in order to be sure he did not talk, which for me was an unexpected reason to wish to comite suicide. Then his brother did comeit suicide and then he decided to talk. Also, psychologist say that abuse leads to the children becoming adults whose spiritual development gets reduced. I think this is in part because they feel so betrayed by the people they know and society, for letting such a thing happen to them, that they later cannot trust anyone That is spiritual development as it is seen by psychologist, the development of the persons ability to love and share with others, not as the Legion sees it, which is the importance of taking people to pieces for the good of their souls, for extreme and unrelenting severity. THe real reason fo rsuch severity is likely to be in order to make them deny thenmselves, which is one of the things that helps sects to take over the hearts and minds of those they wish to make into followers. If they can make you say you are no good, then you need a new ideology which leads you on the right path, the sects ideology. It is important to also remember that the abusive try to incalcilate guilt into the abused which makes them very psychologically confused. THey make the abused children feel as if they want the thing because they end up enjoying it, or because they did end up beign excited by the advances of the person they dont want to touch, which is to really cross a childs cables and make them feel very odd and confused abourt htemselves i should think. On the subject of shaming,. Lay militants of the church use cross examining people, something that seems to be, lay people confessing one because they are not embarrased to do so, much as they are unordained, to question your acts and the motives for your acts. THis, as far as sex is concerned means that they will insist that you did not feel of any of the more noble feelings that occure when you fall in love, such as desire to sacrifice your self for the loved one and having intense feelings of love itself, and hightened sympathies for that person, not just desire for the other. by making you feel that your motives are bad they are shaming you. There is a difference in, getting the hots for a person and falling in love with them so you can insist that you know you fell in love with whoever its was. When they talk of love, the issue is confusing because, much as you have fallen in love, you often dont understand the persons real character, are merely in love with an imaginary person, so asking if you were in love is on that level a sensible question, however ,much as you dont understand the person, falling in love is still falling in love, not getting the hots for another person, with all the positive, spiritually healthy emotions that that brings in its wake. Militants, when asking you about any act of yours, when they talk of your motives, say that, at bottom you did whatever for mean motives, just for sex for example. They would have you believe that the love bit was a fantasy, a way to justify the desire for se. Alternataively they will say that the money of the person is what you really wanted. In the end they made me afraid to relate to anyone rich, even my own brother and father. This is, among other things, shaming a person it is making htem feel ignoble. It is also an act of gettting the victim to deny themselves, getting people to deny themselves is part of brainwashing. If people don't have a lot of character they can be made to feel they don't know themselves, that they confected their feelings of love in order to get the sex. This is shaming as well as an attempt to distort peoples experience and vision of the world. so destroying a persons sense of reality and of all the nicer parts of reality the kind loving and giving ones. It is an activity which infuses into its victimes self doubt in an unhealthy way. It also induces a, fear of being blackened and so of social assasination which is similar to a fear of death. Social assassination is not so frightening as death but it is still a threat of some importance no one will help you if you are despised enough. Inducing fear of death is a normal part of torture and torture, like self denial is a part of brainwashing. When you see where those conversing with you are leading you when they ask you to deny yourself, you know that fear of their accusations will be reflected in your face and you know they will take this as a sign of guilt. So that you are afraid of your fear, which seems to corroborate their nasty suspicions. They do try to convince you that fear is guilt, so you know were your fear will led them next.This is a description of the sort of fear they induce. They also asked me to deny myself in different ways. They asked me to believe I had not loved my grandmother just her money. Luckily for me there could not be self doubt on this one, I had known when she was old that she had no money she could dispose of as she wished. Still it was wicked to try and instill this doubt in my head. People are kinder to you in childhood, if those relationships were not real then, what is love. Want to make a person wobbly about what is real in their whole emotional life, want them to stop believing in love, well this is the way to do it. The whole question of love is a hard one. As a child i was crazy about my grandmother, as an adult less so, so, did I then really love her in old age, as I did not love her as I had as a child, was my adult love real? infusing doubt is easy and wicked. A word like love covers a lot of situations, so, is something one can easily create doubt about. I have read in catholic writings and heard such things as leads me to believe that the church takes its doubts as to whether or not love exists in a sexual relationship so far that adepts of the church say that you only love your own spouse when you have reached old age. It seems to me wicked to by pass the psychological effects of falling in love, which make one desire so to look after and sacrifice yourself for the other. and of how stories of romances infuse peoples minds andmake people try so hard to love when things are as cold as all hell. Falling in love put in doubt, wont people be more likely, not less, to be absuive and to just look for sexual partners? Of course if they wish to call so many sexual relationships bad that they feel better with themselves if they just dotn believe there is any good in such reltionships, so they end up also doing for it in sacramentally blessed ones. Such desires to make sins look really bad lead them to lie about life and distort their whole world view. their thinking gets crazy as they become apolgists for some many things that are not real. Love in marriage is already destined to fizzle out because of sexism. Many men dont talk to their wives, their job is to hold the reins rather than to be friendly, and who can believe that somone who is bored by you loves you? who can believe that somone who does not talk to you is not bored by you? I think the church teaches this sort of lordlyness to men. So lov in marriage is doomed and how many years you have been married only make the cold, colder in most cases.

I knew I cared about my grandmother and did not like her being too alone, they wanted me to say I just wanted her money but luckily for me it was impossible to feel confused because I knew that all her money had already been left to others and I knew that she could not change that. If a sect can get you to deny yourself, then you might be persuaded that you need the sect because your former education was so bad that you did not even, in this case, love your grandmother. It's possible for me to imagine that the vast majority of Legionaries of Christ did not experience sexual abuse. It's a crime to take kids into seminary while still teenagers. A person shouldn't be accepted into seminary until he's at least 25. That way he has some idea of who he is and what he wants in life.

The confession box is out dated . Time we can have a reconciliation or confession service . The confession box is unatural . We would not do it in other circumstances . In the mid 1990's, my spiritual father told me that I needed to discern my vocation with the Legionaries of CHRIST. I attended a summer candidacy at Cheshire Connecticut. It was strange to say the least. The candidates sleep in a big room in cubicles with its own shower and sink. The toilets were at the end in a separate room. They had rooms where novices met with their teachers that looked more like the old glass phone booths. We were told to wear shorts when showering. The lack of privacy was understandable untill the news broke about Nuestro Padre (our father) Marcial Maciel.
I met Nuestro Padre that summer at Cheshire. I remember how the Legionaries treated him like a rock star with the same devotion the Peoples Temple had for Jim Jones. It was spooky. However, I remember little about Marciel Maciel. At the end of the summer, I was not selected and sent home without explanation. It is tragic how that devotion was abused by the founder for his sexual perversions. What he did was horrible.
Was sexuality an abuse or a way to catch followers, to play cat and mouse with their emotions and create a bond with some legionaire or other that makes that person want to be in the Legion, to become a preist so as to be with that sexually person.

I havve suffered from the Legions verbal abuse and would like to talk of their methods here is one of them. I read that asking people to deny themselves is a part of brainwashing and have, with the militants of the Legion and othe rcatholic militants, found out what this consists of. Here is an example of the mechanism of being asked to deny yourself.
my example is that I was told that i did not love my grandmother but only visited her, when she was old, for her money. Getting people to deny themselves means you chose a subject in which people are likely to have a lot of motives for an act and try to persuade them the worst one is the real one. In this case I that I wanted her money. They hope to confuse peole into denying the better of their motives. In this case i was lucky because i knew she did not have any money to give, so I could not have mixed motives for seeing her, her money was all tied up and out of her control. Normally one might like the money of a realation and love them and feel compassion for hteir lonelyness in old age for example.
I was told i did not really love her. Told, that I only thought I loved her because my subconscious wanted to mask my greed. They pretended, that they knew more about the depth of my mind than I did. Psychology tells people they deceive themselves so that this is possible sounds like something that might happen. How do you know when you are deceiving yourself and when not? I think you do know when you are deceiving yourself, you have some small doubts about yourself, you still can have mixed motives. Not letting people do you down is part of self respect and soemthing tha tmust be developed in our young however, not listening to the criticism of others is to, maybe become unreal, you need to be tight rope walking. You should not overbalance too much either way.
I imagine that they choose to talk of love and not compassion in regards to my feeling for my grandmother when hse was old and alone because that confuses their victims more than talking of compassion does. When the company of others is less gratifying, than it can be, as when a person is old and less amusing, you can doubt that it is love you feel. I was dead sure howeverr that i was sorry for my grandmother.
If you have a family member in the Legion then you find out how much you love a family member who did not make you feel that many lovign feelings because you feel your horror about what they are doing, how they are hurting others, in a way you would not feel it for a person without that family bond. So, I now know you do love others sometimes when you arent much feeling that love as warmly as you do when a person is amusing and helping you.
The point of making people deny thenselves, for sects and totalitarian groups like communists who wish to brainwash you, is to make the person they target feel that not only they themselves are inadequately good but also that their upbring was wrong, so their culture and family were wrong or they would have had better motives, so they need a new culture, they need the Legionaires teaching or communist ones or what ever.
Being asked to deny yourself as well as divorcing you from faith in yourself and your education, is also painful. You remember the nice person you were and dont want to betray that person´the former you. Another part of brainwashing is to torture people, heaven only knows why people join a group that tortures them but it seems they do. Denying yourself is painful so helps them to brainwash you in two different ways.

I think you may have confused him with Bishop James I Wedgwood who was accused of molestation and resigned. Bishop Leadbeater was attacked for advising adolescents that they may masturbate to relieve sexual tension. The other attacks on Leadbeater were rumors, and I could find no solid evidence that he molested Krishnamurti.

THere is no point in talking of the churches odder behaviour in an ICSA conference, it seemed to me that the main point of the conference was to find ways to undermine other religons.

I grew up attending a private Catholic boarding school, where I made nothing but wonderful memories. The sisters were exceptionally kind, loving, and intelligent, and they were outstanding teachers, both in terms of curriculum and life lessons. I have nothing but positive things to say about this experience. I acknowledge that, like in any community, there are bad individuals, but I refuse to generalize or unfairly judge everyone. It puzzles me why people always make a big deal about those who make mistakes, but we rarely hear about all the good Catholics have done. For instance, they have established numerous hospitals, schools, and charitable organizations worldwide, providing essential services to the poor and underprivileged. Catholic Relief Services, for example, offers aid and development assistance in over 100 countries, and the work of Mother Teresa and the Missionaries of Charity has brought hope and care to countless destitute individuals.
I had not that experience at all, the priest & nuns were cruel, mean, & didn't help me as i struggled in school. They were like this to my siblings as well i belive for sure it was because we were poor.

I fear that many people think. "Well it is not very nice for little boys to be abused but I imagine that afterwards ,everything gets forgotten and they go on to be normal adults.

If you look at the you tube video, 'Betrayal. Abuse in the Catholic church Nova Scottia', you will see a man talk of the desire to comite suicide, who had been abused as a child. He, at the time of the abuses, had told his parents about it and his parents had been shocked that he would wish to so blacken the priest, after which he had been so afraid of letting the cat out of the bag about the abuse that he had wanted to commite suicide in order to be sure he did not talk, which for me was an unexpected reason to wish to comite suicide. Then his brother did comeit suicide and then he decided to talk.
Also, psychologist say that abuse leads to the children becoming adults whose spiritual development gets reduced. I think this is in part because they feel so betrayed by the people they know and society, for letting such a thing happen to them, that they later cannot trust anyone
That is spiritual development as it is seen by psychologist, the development of the persons ability to love and share with others, not as the Legion sees it, which is the importance of taking people to pieces for the good of their souls, for extreme and unrelenting severity. Lay militants of the church use cross examining people, something that seems to be, lay people confessing one because they are not embarrased to do so, much as they are unordained, to question your acts and the motives for your acts. THis, as far as sex is concerned means that they will insist that you did not feel of any of the more noble feelings that occure when you fall in love, such as desire to sacrifice your self for the loved one and having intense feelings of love itself, and hightened sympathies for that person, not just desire for the other. by making you feel that your motives are bad they are shaming you.
There is a difference in, getting the hots for a person and falling in love with them so you can insist that you know you fell in love with whoever its was. When they talk of love, the issue is confusing because, much as you have fallen in love, you often dont understand the persons real character, are merely in love with an imaginary person, so asking if you were in love is on that level a sensible question, however ,much as you dont understand the person, falling in love is still falling in love, not getting the hots for another person, with all the positive, spiritually healthy emotions that that brings in its wake.
Militants, when asking you about any act of yours, when they talk of your motives, say that, at bottom you did whatever for mean motives, just for sex for example. They would have you believe that the love bit was a fantasy, a way to justify the desire for se. Alternataively they will say that the money of the person is what you really wanted. In the end they made me afraid to relate to anyone rich, even my own brother and father. This is, among other things, shaming a person it is making htem feel ignoble. It is also an act of gettting the victim to deny themselves, getting people to deny themselves is part of brainwashing.
If people don't have a lot of character they can be made to feel they don't know themselves, that they confected their feelings of love in order to get the sex. This is shaming as well as an attempt to distort peoples experience and vision of the world. so destroying a persons sense of reality and of all the nicer parts of reality the kind loving and giving ones. It is an activity which infuses into its victimes self doubt in an unhealthy way.
It also induces a, fear of being blackened and so of social assasination which is similar to a fear of death. Social assassination is not so frightening as death but it is still a threat of some importance no one will help you if you are despised enough.
Inducing fear of death is a normal part of torture and torture, like self denial is a part of brainwashing. MM was big in psychological knowledge of a type that is sinister and he taught his pupils this, and this is a part of his evil that the church has not tried to do anything about. They do try to convince you that fear is guilt, so you know were your fear will led them next.This is a description of the sort of fear they induce. This is how they torture people, they are using brainwashing technics they are using torture which is one such. They induce psychologically horrible things like fear and social assassination.
They also asked me to deny myself in different ways. They asked me to believe I had not loved my grandmother just her money. Luckily for me there could not be self doubt on this one, I had known when she was old that she had no money she could dispose of as she wished. Still it was wicked to try and instill this doubt in my head. People are kinder to you in childhood, if those relationships were not real then, what is love. Want to make a person wobbly about what is real in their whole emotional life, want them to stop believing in love, well this is the way to do it.
The whole question of love is a hard one. As a child i was crazy about my grandmother, as an adult less so, so, did I then really love her in old age, as I did not love her as I had as a child, was my adult love real? infusing doubt is easy and wicked. A word like love covers a lot of situations, so, is something one can easily create doubt about.
I have read in catholic writings and heard such things as leads me to believe that the church takes its doubts as to whether or not love exists in a sexual relationship so far that adepts of the church say that you only love your own spouse when you have reached old age. It seems to me wicked to by pass the psychological effects of falling in love, which make one desire so to look after and sacrifice yourself for the other. and of how stories of romances infuse peoples minds andmake people try so hard to love when things are as cold as all hell. Falling in love put in doubt, wont people be more likely, not less, to be absuive and to just look for sexual partners?
Of course if they wish to call so many sexual relationships bad that they feel better with themselves if they just dotn believe there is any good in such reltionships, so they end up also doing for it in sacramentally blessed ones. Such desires to make sins look really bad lead them to lie about life and distort their whole world view. their thinking gets crazy as they become apolgists for some many things that are not real.
Love in marriage is already destined to fizzle out because of sexism. Many men dont talk to their wives, their job is to hold the reins rather than to be friendly, and who can believe that somone who is bored by you loves you? who can believe that somone who does not talk to you is not bored by you? I think the church teaches this sort of lordlyness to men. So lov in marriage is doomed and how many years you have been married only make the cold, colder in most cases.

I have experienced from Catholic militants attempts to oblige me to admit things that weren´t true, like that, I had been sexually aware from the time of my first period. It was not true and it was frightening because, unlikely as it might seem; I kissed a lot of boys when i was fourteen and so, had I been sexually aware it would have looked awful.
They were always asking me to admit things that werent true and when i understood were the conversation was going i used to feel scared because they were socially assasinating me, and the fear made me scared also because i thought, ¨They will think I am guilty when they see the fear in my face, it will be interpreted as guilt.
Another horrible thing about these attempts, though they weren´t priests, to confess me, was being told by the catholic militants that I had not loved my old grandmother, that I had only visited her because I wanted her money. I denied this and they said i was just trying, subconsciously, to cover my true motives and feel better about things. This way of redirecting ones thoughts on old events, is an attempt to make a person deny themselves which denial is a big part of all brainwashing group´s attempts to brainwash people into some knew ideology. I knew I cared about my grandmother and did not like her being too alone, they wanted me to say I just wanted her money but luckily for me it was impossible to feel confused because I knew that all her money had already been left to others and I knew that she could not change that.
If a sect can get you to deny yourself, then you might be persuaded that you need the sect because your former education was so bad that you did not even, in this case, love your grandmother. Their confession methods are indeed a rape.

The Legion of Christ has a seminary in Cheshire Connecticut USA. This Seminary hasn't released a statement in regards to the heterodox Fiducia Suplicans edict. Nor do their videos mention about their founder Maciel.
It's possible for me to imagine that the vast majority of Legionaries of Christ did not experience sexual abuse. One could argue they were spiritual aspirants who experienced a degree of mental abuse in their practice of "separation from the world" and their adulation of Fr. Maciel. But, to be honest, "separation from the world," which included separation from their own families, was a common element of Catholic religious community spirituality and culture prior to Vatican II, and reverential admiration of the founders of religious communities was simply assumed. I am left wondering how many other Fr. Maciels there are among the adulated "saints" in the Catholic Church.
Mexico constitution separates church from State, though it is majority catholic. I grew up close to students at Legionario girls and boys elite schools.
