You know, I think everyone wonders the same thing as Pikamee in their childhood, but... I think eventually when you realise there's beaches, you learn that landmasses and islands aren't just floating there

Really? As a kid I felt they had to be attached to the ground like a mountain sticking out of the water cuz if they werent, the whole continent would float around like when you’re on an anchored boat and we’d all get seasick lol
Not necessarily this particular thing, but I do think every kid believes something incredibly stupid at some point, usually for an embarrassing length of time.
All of earth is rock (with a gooey inside), with water settling in the lower points (thus why it's called "below sea level" and "above sea level"). Islands are just where the rock juts up for however much from the lower points.

Pikamee has a lot of stories not liking school very much coz of being different from her classmates coz of her mixed parentage giving her different hair and eye color than the rest of the kids.
Also wasn't too surprised about the landmass thing owing to being a nerdy kid since I was old enough to read and write. I remember having that topographical globe with high point for the mountains and deep ridges in the oceans. What really blew my little mind was the tectonic plates and all the lava under the ground.
I think it's good that you watch both big and small vtubers. The larger vtubers bring in viewers and it allows the smaller vtubers to be discovered. A lot of reaction channels only watch the popular ones.
He should hear Risu sing ALiCE&u, if he hasn’t already. Her voice blew me away. Not comparing to Towa’s error, just want him to hear it.

I agree with nagzz, love both Calli and Suisei but Towa singing is my favorite in hololive
Pesonally my favorite singer in hololive is Suisei but Towa's singing had a greater impact on me when I first heard her because of the difference in her normal and her singing voice. She really is one of the best singers in hololive.
Suisei's my favorite by a longshot but she's pretty much at the level of a professional singer. It's almost to the point where I can't get as excited for official songs anymore because the bar is so high...if that makes sense lol.
Towa, Watame and Izuru songs hit me like a truck.

First exposure to Towa was when somebody clipped parts of her 3-d reveal and she's talking in that somewhat nasal voice and then she did Planet Loop and dang, instant subscription.

I went out and saw Towa’s cover of Error after you mentioned it and that music video is a “S” tier banger, it absolutely slaps. Thank you for talking about it. I wouldn’t have known otherwise.

Towa is the first hololivers that I heard singing back in the 2020 ,she had something like 320k subs back then ,watching her grow to 500k ,watching her cry while singing Error, then watching her cry while singing palette ,and now watching her cry as she hit the milion mark ,worth it ,I did cry with her ,but I m not regretting a thing ,still my favorite in hololive ,after almost two years

Towa's cover of Error is one of my favorites too. It gets me emotional almost every time I listen to it and made me fall in love with Towa. I don't watch her much cuz of the whole language barrier but her singing voice is amazing and she's just so precious.

Can't thank you enough for these videos and having ways to enjoy Vtubers with others since where I live Vtubers are pretty niche and I have no one else to share my love of them.
i think that pikamee's foundational misunderstanding of the man made island of odaiba which would be a place you could dive under the japan but it would be a limited experience but if you're just going to scuba dive at all of the hot spots and meet the weird underwater doraemon statues as part of a guided tour experience kind of thing. even then, i think they built into the ground and its not just floating or if it is it has some serious pillars if not pillars and a full structure.

I agree with your take Nagzz. Towa's cover of Error is by far the best song out of any of the hololive girls. You can feel the power and emotion in towa's singing IN MY OPINION that is not matched in anyone else.
while I agree on how emotional and crazy good that song is considering all the past situation she's going through, I won't say it's not matched by anyone in hololive, don't get me wrong I love her but that doesn't mean I put aside other talented singer in the agency, I'm just saying it's not really fair when you're being so overly bias on one person
but hey you do you, we have different point of view eh? I'm just sharing mine, I for one likes to broadening my horizons, why just like one thing when the other is just as wonderful

No other song has hit me as hard as what Towa's cover of Error has, does this mean that everyone else is bad??? No it doesnt. It goes without saying that everyone else is talented but IN MY OPINION that song is my favourite and no other song comes close to it.

It was adorable to hear that one girl talking about the ocean running under our lands, but the fact is there are oceans even below the surface level oceans it’s not strictly pure rock formations all the way down, sure there is rock and molten lava and other elements down there but much of our worlds water isn’t just in surface oceans but subsurface oceans that kind of influence the push and pull of tectonic plates which determines “when, NOT if,” any given land mass goes under water to give way for a different continent that’s been submerged for who knows how many centuries or Millenia. You know kind of how the entire West coast of America is doomed to fall into the ocean at some point due to the 2 adjoining underwater Trenches/Fault lines that reach under the land and cause all the earthquakes in California. The same Fault lines that are 2 different tectonic plates trying to trade places.

I didn't choose my personal favourites, but songs that feel special in some way.. for example though Lain sang Silve President, she had her gen mates do some of the back up vocals! or in The Last Frontier it was a AZKi worked really hard on & was able to sing it with Suisei (before she moved into Hololive). Each of these songs have a little bit of special tied to them!
There are also other wonderful things worth mentioning.. Neg Nasu covered "Ai Kotoba" but she wanted to do it in a way to really thank her fans, so she asked everyone to sing parts of the song.. and though it was a night mare to mix & edit she did it.. She was able to sing with her fans!
and another example せうめーあ〘ch〙 (Seumea) has done some great covers but recently she did a 24 hour karaoke!! Singing all the Vocaloid classics and many others
Then we have Mai Melody, VERSE (eg Serra) & K5R (Ban Hada, Song Mia & Seffyna) who have don amazing music!! However this is quickly becomminga TL;DR... the fact is so many V-tubers have a real knack for singing!!
