This is my #1 Pixar movie of all time, this movie does not get the recognition it deserves in the Pixarverse. We used a song from the soundtrack for our wedding that's how much it means to me, not enough Wall-E merch either. I've eagerly awaiting to hear what you all think of this one!
I couldn’t believe the film was almost 20 minutes in and a main character hadn’t even spoken. Just visuals and sound. They really went all in in. It only asking can we make an endearing, emoting to to a main character but also, can we make a cockroach loveable? Such a great movie and always deserving of a rewatch.
I feel like we keep going back and forth between whether rankings should be "best" or "favorite", and there is a difference. I understand Wall-E not being your favorite pixar movie, but I feel like it's undeniably a masterclass in storytelling, animation and filmmaking. I respect the vote, but Wall-E is my #1.
I actually did think Auto's actions were motivated partly by self preservation. That's what I gathered from the shot where the captain notices Auto in the background of all the portraits.
With the way the list is layed out, Wall-E would be my number one. Last week I had a sinking feeling that they were going to do this one dirty, but top 5 is respectable.
It’s pretty funny and ironic that Andy joked about someone losing all of the storyboard files because someone accidentally deleted Toy Story 2 when the film was almost finished from its database. Luckily someone else had all of the files on backup.
Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 4 i would rank lower but i get a feeling all 4 Toy Story movies are gonna be hard to break up or rank out of the top 10 with this panel (Tim haha) and that’s unfortunate.

At least they put it 4th. In my opinion the best 5 Pixar movies are The Incredibles, Wall-E, Finding Nemo, Toy Story 2 and Monsters Inc. Might be a different order but our top 5s are very similar.
I completely agree with the thought that this was like a short film that was turned into a feature length, but for me that's a negative. While it's a cute movie, it just doesn't have enough heart or humor or character to rank as high as some other movies
Shout out to Kevin and Andy, Kevin you rocked the Tenet In review and Andy you are a darling, you didn't have to apologize for the balls of fury in review yet you didn't shy away from commenting on it. much love to the crew!

@@incognitomode24 Nah, don’t think I will. I love these guys content and in other reviews I agree with others but for this I just don’t see how anyone can like Toy Story 4 so much.
I don’t think this list is too far off… the only thing that doesn’t compute for me is putting Monsters Inc at #1, above all these other masterpieces. I mean, I like monsters inc, but come on… where’s the deep themes and adventure of Walle, Finding Nemo, Incredibles, Ratatouille? Monsters inc just always felt like more of a standard kids movie to me. Still above average, but closer to something Dreamworks would make, while their other films from this time are such art.
I would put it above incredibles but under Finding Nemo. Incredibles is more fun and action packed but this is a better story which plays with emotions perfectly. The only thing I think Finding Nemo and Monster's inc have are they rely on Love that is not of a romantic nature so the cliches or just the power of love doesn't come into the plot, they are stronger based off the familial love and more relatable and add that child innocence which is not about being oblivious but genuinely being kind.
Worst ranked list of all time. Absolutely with Andy and Kevin in terms of where it should be ranked at this time in the review series. VERY worried for Inside Out in the future....absolutely a number 1 in my pixar rankings
Agreed. WALL-E is absolutely, objectively the best movie of everything on the list so far (although Finding Nemo remains my personal fave). And it pretty much stayed that way until Inside Out finally topped it.
My current list: 1. The Incredibles 2. Monster's Inc. 3. Ratatouille 4. Finding Nemo 5. Wall-E 6. Toy Story 2 7. Toy Story 3 8. Toy Story 4 9. Toy Story 10. A Bug's Life 11. Cars (Real talk, the Top 5 is absolutely impossible to choose)

I love Wall-e so much. I'm with Andy when he says this is a perfect movie. I can't count how many times I've rewatched it since it's release.
The reason why Nick is so enraptured by the sound design of the movie is because Ben Burt of Star Wars fame did it!
