CA doesn't like modders because they think it cuts into their bottomline, which clearly isn't true because paradox's pro-mod mindset has only gained them money. Its unfortunate that CA locks down modding capabilities and refuses to fix broken games, yet they also refuse to give us new titles to replace them which makes the aforementioned hostility fruitless.
Andy, our passion for the masterpierce that is ATW will only truly be fulfilled the day a mod expands the campaign map "a la" magnus mundi. Until that glorious day, this bundle of mods seem like a pretty decent stepping stone :) Keep on with your amazing content, my friend, salve!

Since release, Atilla was almost immediately my favorite total war game. And with literally a dozen if not more total conversion mods its almost unlimited in content

idk, some days I prefer the long grindy battles of rome 2 and its straightforward campaign. Attila has units rout too quickly in my opinion. Attila clearly is superior in graphics and mods, and it has a set of very great campaigns, but some days rome 2 is just more enjoyable. Its kind of like empire vs napoleon, they have qualities the other lacks which leads to both being fun in their own way.
What I want is a campaign that starts when Romulus founds his city right up until Constantinople falls in 1453. Not much to ask for, I know. Well, what I REALLY want is to keep going with a Medieval III that keeps going through Empire II and then Napoleon/American Revolution...

Regardless this looks cool since you can switch eras all in the same mod. I may have to give it a look.
Hopefully there can be some mod that unbuggers the engine as well since its optimized like Windows Vista on launch on computers that were practically for XP only.

Why is it that modders will always do better than the people with the money in the long term? I remember when I played the Beta version of BOTET in MTW2 and just being amazed at how each faction was unique, even the different provinces of the Empire, how there were random spawns of Beastmen in the forest and how it was a pain to fight the Vampire Counts given that they fight literally to the (un)death. IMO Attila is underrated for a number of reasons, but it is horribly optimized, and the fact that CA does not care enough about its product to fix that from their end is jarring. RN I can't play WH3 without some QoL mods, and I just hope modding continues kicking ass for this game series.

I really recommend you to not support the creator of this series (Rome Era Chapters). This guy usually tooks without any permissions the work from other modders and when he is asked to remove what he took without permission he just acts like a child. Keep in mind that he constantly uses without permission the assets created by the Rome 2 HD team and the creators (Celticus and Kagarino) had to reclaim to the Steam Workshop about this situation. That is the reason why he always upload empty files.
No he doesn’t. Like many mods, he makes his mod compatible with other mods, which must then be downloaded by themselves like any other mod. But the assets are not taken/stolen and integrated into his mod files. Neither was the last file, and yet the Rome 2 HD team reported his mod for no reason. For other things like assets from Ancient Empires, he has permission.
@AndysTake No. he decided to upload empty files because it's a cheap trick to avoid any copyright reclamation with Steam and CA (and I would like to remind you that Steam already erased this mods due to this issue and ironically the guy keeps using the models from the R2HD team shamelessly). Also, I recommend you to check TW Modder's Agora discord server about this issue and believe me, all modders there reproach this kind of attitude and even OtherTom from CA considered that this situation should have leaded to erase all this mods. Until there's a mod that adds proper unit collision ( I know it's basically impossible with this engine, chill) TW games will fall short to me. Medieval 2 feels more real than this game despite ancient visuals.
Yeah just searched up a vid of unit collisions of ME2 and I'll take the great looking graphics and gameplay of RII and Atilla over the way units interact when you move them in front of one another. Negligible during actual gameplay imo.

The older titels were mod friendly when it comes to total conversions... I am a little bit sad that the newer titels are not as near as mod friendly.

UH OH. You know this guy who makes the mod has a huge negative reputation in the modding community right? He steals peoples work without permission.
I think there was an issue where he used a mod once without permission, and then never did it again and learnt from that mistake.
