  • I'm trying out Supacolor heat transfers for the first time with my Tiger Style design. I drew this design fully in Procreate on my iPad, exported it as a PNG, and dropped into their template for the size I wanted. Have you used Supacolor before? Do you have any tips for newbies like me? Let me know what you thought! The new design is available at www.cultofthew...

    Peel fast and low trust me. I was having the same issue. Second press for a few seconds and you good to go. Dope design

    Peel faster with confidence and then cover again and press for a few seconds. Also... Taking out the base colour makes them feel lighter on the garment. Means you have to commit to a colour garment but if you take the black of the design and have the fabric come through it feels much better!

    Use a. Silicone. Mat? And reheat it for a couple seconds

      At the time of filming this, I didn't know about "setting" the design after it transferred. I haven't had any trouble with the shirts that I printed yet either. Although I do "set" the graphics for 4 seconds afterwards now, but I don't even use a silicone mat or anything, just put the heat press right down on the art and have no problem at all.

    Cool design and color scheme!! how much did the transfers cost?

    • @sonnywong001
      @sonnywong001  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The transfers ended up being $4.86 each (which was actually $4.71 per transfer plus $0.15 per transfer to account for shipping costs)

    Not a fan of the ghosting outline either. Is there a company that avoids this?

    • @sonnywong001
      @sonnywong001  ปีที่แล้ว

      This one was actually mellower than the ghost outline on my full color transfers from Transfer Express.

    How much did you pay for the transfers for that size?

    Good afternoon
    I was watching some of your videos on youtube and I really liked them.
    Could you clear some doubts can I use any laser printer? How many washes does A+B transfer last on average? Can it be compared with DTF ? and what is the value of a3 sheets

    • @sonnywong001
      @sonnywong001  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Luciano. I'm not clear about what you are asking about the laser printer, these transfers come printed. I don't know how many washes they get, on the Supacolor website I think I read that they get 60-80 washes. These feel way thicker than DTF in my experience. IF your question about A3 sheets is about the size of the sheet, they have many options, this size was the size of my design.

    im a beginner, is this sublimation?

    • @sonnywong001
      @sonnywong001  ปีที่แล้ว

      No. I believe that sublimation is when the inks are into the fabric. This sits on top of the fabric.

      I agree, but that’s not much different from any large screen print I’ve done on t-shirts. That’s kinda the cost of a large print on the front of a shirt. Easier to deal with on a hoodie or crewneck sweatshirt.
