Love the channel and love this archetype. I've been playing Prossh as an aristocrat commander since 2013. My play group dislikes combos so I've never included Food Chain in the deck and I also don't have any tutors as certain combinations of engine pieces do go infinite. That being stated, I've never had an issue with Junding them out.
I’ve never built a proper aristocrats deck, but one of my current favorite decks is an orzhov landfall deck headed by Carmen Cruel Skymarcher. The deck sacrifices lands to get value and the brings them back using Carmen or second sunrise effects effects to get more landfall triggers and kills people with tokens or something like an og Ob Nixilis. I like to call it Landocrats lol
@@danieldillard9744 I’ve thought about building Thalia and Gitrog before but I specifically wanted this deck to not have green because I find it fun to do off color landfall
My favourite aristocrats deck is Amalia, it’s sort of a lifegain self-mill take on the strategy where you want to get out a lifegain engine turn 1 (soul sisters, Ajani’s Welcome, that sort of thing), drop Amalia turn 2 and throw every explore trigger into the graveyard, consistently getting many 1 lifegain explore triggers, then turn 4 or 5 when you’ve got your graveyard full of creatures with ETB triggers that gain life or ping the table + sac outlets and death triggers that gain life or ping the table + creatures that ping the table whenever you gain life, you cast a mass reanimation spells and pretty much win the game on the spot. Its surprisingly resilient to even having its pieces exiled because it runs so much redundancy and the curve is so low (runs 45 creatures, almost all of which are 1 or 2 mana, capping out at 4 mana) that you’re never really out of the game. Managed to win through a farewell that was cast when i had a strong board + graveyard that resolved and exiled everything i had going, only took a couple more turns after that to get right back to being ready to win with one reanimation spell. Plus Amalia wiping all blockers then swinging for 20 Commander damage is a nice backup wincon that also fills your own graveyard up for more reanimation shenanigans
I initially had a Teysa Karlov aritstocrats deck, then I replaced her with Teysa, Orzhov Scion, then Elas il-Kor, and then I just thought "screw it" and tossed Amalia into the command zone for fun. I barely changed the deck, I maybe added a single life gain card, but Amalia has worked well as the commander regardless. She doesn't directly function as any of the three parts that aristocrats needs (sac fodder, sac outlets, sac payoffs), but she's great at getting you whatever you need (lands, nonlands in the graveyard or on top of your library). People don't really care to remove her unless she's about to blow up the board.
I have played Aristocrats for 4 years now, and the best piece of advice i can give someone is this; with such a low mana curve, your 2-drop slot is much better suited to the many token generators and pay-off cards than mana rocks. Replace all mana rocks with synergy and some white catch-up ramp creatures and you will not regret it.
Fantastic drive down aristocrat lane! I’ve been looking at building an aristo-deck and settling on an elder arthur maxson go-wide token deck with aristocrat lines to supplement that sweet sweet combat step.
My Tymna/Tevesh Szat aristocrats deck is my pride and joy. We have so much redundancy for all our tools now. Multiple good sac outlets with phyrexian/ashnods altar, warren soultrader and viscera seer. Token doublers with ojer taq, mondrak, anointed procession, ocelot pride and thalisse. 9 or 10 blood artist effects. Insane card draw in dreadhorde general, smothering abomination, both the commanders and reprocess is a favorite of mine. Ive won matches with no lands in play with reprocess.
My first aristocrat deck was b/g, Shadowheart, Dark Justiciar and Master Chef. I run all the creatures with the persist keyword in those colors as possible. I’m sure you could make a better version of the deck with a better commander but I think it’s pretty neat.
Aristocrats/sacrifice is easily my favorite archetype even though I usually don’t play combo in my decks I usually have a high win rate due to its resiliency
Teysa Karlov was my first EDH deck and ofc I got put into a Cedh pod , I lost the game obviously but it was incredible how grindy and annyoing my deck could be
I built a Human Aristocrat deck with Trynn and Silvar as the commanders. Goal is to mass tokens and my set pieces with Silvar out and then feed Silvar when someone wipes the board.
My deck that is most Aristocrats is Chatterfang, he increases tokens and can work as a sac outlet (especially since I mostly combo with Pitiless Plunderer) There are a few 2 card combinations that just win the game with Chatterfang and a token or two Ashnod's Altar + Ruthless Knave or Slimefoot Blood Artist effect + Warren Soultrader or Pitiless Plunderer I split it off from another Squirrel deck that is now completely built to be an overrun deck, the aristocrat combo aspect just got too strong and I was torn between the two modes
Aristocrats is always really cool but I do feel like without a budget restriction they can get kind of samey. (This is coming from someone who's longest lasting deck is a jund aristocrats deck helmed by Sek'kuar Deathkeeper) where a lot of the time you just play all the good pieces and then loop like crazy or find your way to value town. You certainly can get unique with it but aristocrats can feel very solved sometimes.
I built my aristocrats/extort deck with liesa, forgotten archangel at the helm and added athreos. It’s fun to bring all my creatures back to my hand by either athreos or liesa. 😂
Hit the sac outlets. Aristocrats decks and sacrifice decks rely on being able to kill their stuff whenever they want. And exile is your friend big time
Good video for anyone new to magic! "Sacrifice does NOT Aristocrats" is not grammatically correct at 1:06... maybe have someone look over your videos before uploading?
Fun fact: the term Aristocrats (as a deck term) comes from a deck focused around Cartel Aristocrat and Falknerad Aristocrat, and was originally Mardu.
Thank you to everyone for your constant support! Trying my best to bring you great content each week!

you should check out thalia and the gitrog monster.

Best card released this year, for aristocrats, would have to be Afterlife Insurance. Turns a good boardstate to lethal for 2 mana.

I love OG Teysa she is both a sac outlet and a token generator + removal. She works very well as an aristocrats commander.
She really does!
Having played with both, I like Teysa, Orzhov Scion more than Teysa Karlov as the commander.
great video as always 😎
Love aristocrats so much. Black-less aristocrats is my pet deck with Aragorn 1:48

If you have a lot of aristocrats in your meta, split second cards can be absolutely brutal. I really like the new VATS card

I'm currently building that! Can I see your list?
Playing a Gruul Aristocrats deck with Gimli, Mournful Avenger. It’s a lot of fun !
Aristocrats/sacrifice is easily my favorite archetype even though I usually don’t play combo in my decks I usually have a high win rate due to its resiliency
For my fellow Elenda enjoyers, check out the card pure reflection! so many death triggers on such a weird old card, I love it

In the right scenario, i pretty much always want people to board wipe my Ratadrabik deck
Building an aristocrats deck rn which is funny timing. I mainly wanted a deck that was resilient. Guess I'm choosing a good strat haha
I’m confused on your list, isn’t Into The Pit above the permanent cost thing for Lurrus in your Bart list? Or maybe I’m missing something haha
Where is the Elendra decklist link?
Coming soon, I have it in person and realized I haven't put it into moxfield just yet! It will be there soon
Just updated the description!

I hate aristocrat decks so much. They always seem unstoppable

Dang, must have slipped past me. I do a final watch before posting :/ still didn't see that
@@deckdriverMTGDon't sweat the nitpicks, the video's a banger. Keep it up mate, absolutely subbing! Especially liked the holding the gun segment.
