    What do y'all think about the music video? This is my very first time watching the music video. And I had to watch it multiple times to really understand the song. Very deep song. I would encourage that you watch the original video. Put your comment down below and ask me anything about the Philippines!

      The whole video tells their story from scratch to what they are now and what they can still do in the future. In the first part, they told us their story when they were bashed, discriminated and put down. Saddest part was when even the Filipinos did step down on them. They were even judged that they sound Kpop and there will never be a Ppop. They were in the news but didnt stop. They used those negativities around to pull positivities and courage to go ahead! I think Justin is a dreamer. Looking at the Earth but blindfolded. Stell hold some seeds trying to tell us to dig and dig, plant something and in the future, there will be plenty of fruits. Ken is like a king in a throne made of junk. He said in the lyrics that he picked up and collected all the trash, and that lifted him up but he keeps telling us that even he has the power now, our feet should always be on the ground. Josh in real life didnt have an education degree. But on his part he said we are all different but sometimes, those so-called educated people are the worse. And he wont pretend. He started taking off those fancy clothes because that will never define him and what he can do.
      Then the dreamer Justin finally took out the blindfold. Now he is ready to turn those dreams to reality. Seeds from Stell's hand grew. From the scene when he was holding soil, raining and lightning like a storm, it changed into a clearer nature scene. Then there comes the part when they are in soldier costumes which has a resemblance of Generals during the old times in Philippines. An image of a general signifies courage, focus and determination. Those people they were trying to pass through are the bashers and those who didnt like them. But eventually, the same people became their fans and they celebrate together with SB19s music. Then it sounds like it became an anthem telling us that yes, Ppop is real. We have our own sound, our own music! Thats why Filipinos, let us all raise our flag! They represent our country but in a bigger picture, they used a flag with question mark which represents each of us to show us that everybody has his/her own flag to raise. The music video shows what hope, courage, determination and God above can do! 🔥🔥🔥❤❤❤

    SB19 were bashed and hated upon by people who did not believe that they have talent but they remained humble and they want to show us that despite the hate that they received they will continue to rise above it and show the world they have the talent and the tenacity to share what they have .Now they are the PPOP kings and have their own fandom A'Tin (eighteen) who are willing to fight for them.Pilipinas!! I HEARD ABOUT SB19 A LONG TIME AGO, BUT THE TIME I ACTUALLY GOT INTERESTED IN THEIR GROUP WAS IN 2020 DURING LOCKDOWN. I GOT INTERESTED AFTER WATCHING THEIR COVER OF "BAKIT BA IKAW" MYX PERFORMANCE, SO I CHECKED OUT THEIR OTHER SONGS AND ALSO THEIR VLOGS. WATCHING THEIR VLOGS, I FELT LIKE I HAD GOTTEN TO KNOW THEM INDIVIDUALLY. I WANTED TO KNOW THEM MORE, AND THAT'S HOW I BECAME AN A'TIN. I SAW THAT THEY HAVE THE POTENTIAL TO MAKE IT BIG. THEY HAVE A GOAL WHICH IS TO BREAK IN THE GLOBAL MUSIC INDUSTRY AND INTRODUCE PPOP ALL OVER THE WORLD. AND THEY DID THAT. THEY INTRODUCED PPOP TO ME AND BECAUSE OF THEM, I ALSO DISCOVERED A LOT OF OTHER TALENTED OPM ARTISTS. IT'S MY FIRST TIME STANNING A BOY GROUP EVER TOO. I NEVER REALLY THOUGHT I'D BE A FANGIRL. I''M PROUD OF SB19. THEY REALLY ARE RAISING OUR FLAG, EVEN SUPPORTING LOCAL BUSINESSES. I LOVE THESE BOYS AND I NEVER REGRET STANNING THEM.

    The flag is actually inspired by Philippines old flags , KKK, which basically is the whole mood for this song. The soldier’s uniforms resembles the uniforms of Filipino Generals during war. Stell is telling us that what thou shall sow, thou shall reap, the seed later on became a very sturdy tree. Justin is a dreamer, and when he finally take his blindfold off, he realized reality is far more beautiful. Ken is the King of Junk, he was able to rise from the garbage, but even when he was lifted, he said your feet should stay on the ground. Josh the elevator guy, he was not able to finish his degree but he said on his rap, those who seem like educated people sometimes act worse, he started taking his fancy clothes and even throw away the golden chain which mean he will not let himself entangled by those things, and none of those things define him. As for Pablo I’m not sure but I think he reminds us that sometimes the people who talks shit about us should not matter, just do your thing, and one day those people who tried to block, stop, hurt and trampled will see your worth, and one day appreciate you like you deserve and will look up on you and celebrate your success too. Love and passion is such a strong emotion that even hate can be overpowered. And that map at the end is immaculate. Hands down 🙌 PS I just saw some of these comments too just sharing

    “A lot of people still doubt us, denouncing everything that we do and everything that we're trying to achieve. We love what we do, that's why we do it respectfully. ‘What?’ is about self-love and empowerment. Each of us has our own flag. We should be proud of it and raise it as much as we can. As SB19 and as individuals, we know that we're not the best at everything, but that shouldn't stop us from what we want to achieve.” -PABLO

      I know did you know Pablo was the one who found the producer through you tube . What management company allow their artists to do that and he worked exclusively with the producer through video calls to finish the music. All the crew and all who worked on creating the song to the graphics are Filipino except for mixing i think sent out to Korea. This Mv is the fruit of their labor, labor of love.

    Actually K-pop is a fusion of J-POP & American POP... so Koreans do not invent the make-up for guys even in 1970's P-pop it's normal to see guys in make up especially rock. It jus so happened that internet is prevalent nowadays that's we have a notion that Korean invented that.

    Thank you for reacting to SB19, the P-Pop Kings who are brave enough to pave for Pinoy Pop to be known globally so that a P-Pop community will be built and help promote Filipino Talent and Culture. SB19 experienced lots of criticism here in the Philippines because thought they are K-Pop wannabes that why we fans are protective of them. If all Filipinos could be open-minded enough to accept P-Pop as a sub genre of OPM, SB19 will be easily walk their path to mainstream media. SB19 is still underrated but they are slowly being recognized by the society..

    we fans theorized that the outfit that looks like a strait jacket represents how others think they're weird or different and they wan't to control them, hence they're wearing a strait jacket-like costume and is also kind of how the media or their peers think they should not try this kind of music they're doing and that they should follow the trend. then you see them walking against those people and that really represents how they're like walking against the current, they want to show what we're capable of with new and different stuff and not just the norm. i think that's what i love about them. this kind of pop music (even if it sounded like kpop: their past songs) is very different from the opm we're used to (although artists like Sarah G was already making ppop music like it before them) and it's a long time coming that philippines should have a music evolution. and true enough when they were starting, they have ballads, you should check it out if you like opm ballads :D (Tilaluha TM Pusuan, and Hanggang sa Huli on Wish Bus)

      Maybe not this reactors but when every scene reactors would say Uy sa Big Bang yan, Uy vibes ng bts yan sa chorus so they missed the beautiful lyrics, Uy On ng bts sa dance break, Uy sa stray kids yan sa opening camera shots, ang dami ngang Uy kaya Lang puro influence ng kpop ang salita and even missed na the actual beat of the whole song is not even close to a typical kpop sound. The boys experimented heavily on the sound here. And to be honest this MV doesn’t have that glaring color and over the top graphics that tbh makes my eyes and head spin in a kpop mv. I think an Mv sa kpop is to have a show of pleasing the audience with aesthetics and story telling . This mv on the other hand highlighted the Vocal range ng sb19, there is just enough graphics and great transitions but the boys shine here. It is just so pleasing. Sana Kung mag react to judge it on its own merits.

    Thank you for reacting to SB19! I was just a little bit confused why the translation you placed was 'Blessed to raise the flag.' I realized tho that the line really sounded like 'Pinagpala para iangat ang bandera.' What the original lyrics meant, though, is 'You don't need bullets to raise your flag.' (Tagalog: 'Di na bala para iangat ang bandera.) Then the next line mentions using music to empower others to defend our country (Bara na sa puso nyo ang tatama). The lyrics remind me of how the Propaganda Movement used writing and art to fight for the Philippines. Jose Rizal used his novels instead of bullets to bring the country one step closer to independence and freedom. Now, SB19 is one of the modern day protectors of our culture through performing arts. 💙
    (and yes pls pls pls react to kbye of Alamat, the MV has rich culture hihi)

  • @kokonaatin1643
    @kokonaatin1643 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    It's actually "Di na bala, para iangat ang bandera" (not pinagpala). We don't need bullets to raise our flag. As for the Flags that the video is pertaining to, it can refer to your country's flag or your life's flag. Your passion or dream in life. That's why the flag is a question mark. It can represent anything depending on your perspective.
