Train Viewing Platform Plant City Florida Opening Ceremony

This is a video I made of the opening ceremony of the train viewing platform in Plant City Florida. A gathering of officials and important people that made the viewing platform come to reality. On December 14, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM I was invited to this special event and to video this memorable moment that will last me a life time. Watch as a large group gathers to wave on Amtrak train the Silver Star number 92 pass the platform with a special horn salute. Then the ceremony and there after a few more trains to pass by before night fall. The viewing platform is open to the public 24/7 So far the date has been scheduled for February 8, 2014 for the grand opening of the platform and museum which will open together with a celebration at the same time.

I came from Ohio to see this platform and it was worth it. We were there 3 days and saw a lot of trains. I cant wait to come back next year and every year. I found out about it from Milleniumforce videos. It was great being there for Biker Week and listening to the band while waiting for trains and talking to local railfans. Another fun thing there is to order a special coffee from Krazzy Kup and sit in front of their shop next to the tracks. They can make almost any coffee you want and their tables are next to the tracks. I wish I lived there. The museum has a computer that tracks all the trains in the area so you know when one is coming.

I'm from and live in the Tampa Bay Area and visit Plant City yearly for the Strawberry Festival. I must say this is a beautiful structure. I've loved trains since I was a child, but really got into them recently. I can't wait to to visit this viewing platform.
