I think gayle missed the significance of her dad’s comment about family. It shows she’s come full circle. Family - tennis- family.
Her tennis playing never excluded family though,her dad,Venus,mom,other sisters were always part of the tennis. And she got married and gave birth while playing tennis. I think the point of the video was that tennis wasn't the most important thing,family was more important throughout

Starting early is the best way of getting ahead to build wealth, investing remains a priority. I learnt from my last year's experience, you creat your own conditions, through your decision making ability. If you want good opportunities so you can make good decisions. It's simple. Start with small successes that you have complete control over. Continue that successful mindset throughout your day. People notice a positive attitude, and present opportunity to those who seem capable. Project capability, and when opportunity arises, prove your capabilities. There are rarely situations without opportunity, and those few unwinnable situations are completely of your own making, I pray that anyone who reads this will be successful in life too 🙏🙏🙏

I had the opportunity to see her play live only once, in Madrid 2015. She beat Carla Suarez Navarro (top 10 at the time) easily and I was really impressed by her game... all her shots and movements looked so natural, while other players look like robots. Her tecnique and her tactics also were a key to success, people always forget how good she plays and how smart she is on the court.
You're right. It was very easy to dismiss her as a ball basher who lacked variety in her game. You don't win 23 Slams without talent and smarts.

Serena supposedly had difficulty finding facilities for practice to develop her skills and I wish she would invest in her own country, the United States who has always supported her and invested in her dreams.

Serena and Venus are tennis legends. Tennis was not really interesting to me until Serena and Venus came onto the tennis scene. Over the years Serena has been SAVAGELY attacked in social media due to her race and not fitting the traditional stereotype of "woman.". I have always been there to come to her defense and to try to put the trolls in their place. Racism and gender discrimination always seemed to rear their ugly heads when Serena was getting acknowledged or reported on for something. Kudos to Serene for choosing to expand her family and setting tennis aside. She deserves to plan whatever type of future she wants for herself.
