Great review! Love all these power station reviews and have learned a lot about the solar systems you have been building. Cant wait to put my own together!
Thanks for sharing with us Evan for showing and testing the Oupes Mega 2 power station. Sounds like a pretty good unit. Stay safe and keep up the fun around there. Fred.
Just need an Air Compressor with a dump valve and a Check valve for no load starting. Can be added to any Compressor. Thanks Evan.. I'll stick to My home made Jobber LOL...
I haven't tested any Anker power stations. So I don't have first hand knowledge. But I think the 240 power stations are ideal for backup power. Especially for back feeding a house through a generator interlock. It is so convenient to be able to use you normal lights and outlets during a power outage.
Good review. I had the Mega 3, and it went bad after a weeks worth of use. I sent it back and bought the Eco flow delta pro. Hopefully, this version is better. However, when something is mass produced, there will be a dud every so often.
Evan, folks need to realize that any breaker, 110V house panels included, are only capable of sustaining 80% of their rating long term, therefore that 30A outlet could only handle a 24A draw long term even it were connected to grid power.
If people are accustom to plugging into a 30A outlet, and having it do the job, this unit could be less than what they need. It is deceiving to have a 30A outlet that will only really deliver 2/3s (ish) of that, even if none of them will allow 30A continuously.
@@--_DJ_--it isn’t deceptive at all if one knows anything about electricity and electrical equipment. The rating on electrical equipment equals the absolute maximum it can handle at inrush current. The safety factor of 20% has been in National Electrical Code since its inception.
@ you totally missed the concept. It can deliver 30 amps instantaneously, as the breaker in your house can, but this device and any other electrical supply device is not capable of deliver full rating over time. 80% is the best you can get continuously.
No it’s not. $1299 divided by 2500 watts = 52 cents a kwh. For oupes. Pecron 3600lfp $1499 divided by 3600 watts = 41 cents a kwh and 7000 WATT SURGE. It’s hard to not be bias when you are getting paid. If Oupes stop paying people like you maybe they can get the price down to be competitive.
I didn't get paid. It is a paid promotion because they supplied the power station for testing. Because they paid for the power station. I didn't get paid money. And I have never been paid to make a video. Anytime a product is provided you have to mark it paid promotion.
@ so you test it and then return it ? The oupes 3600 is $1999 The pecron 3600 is $1499 With the same stats. I’m not a paid sponsor but I do own Pecron 3-3600 lfp solar generators 2-3000 48volt batteries. With 5 kWh of solar panels. These units are amazing
@@CountryViewSolar-DIYProjects Evan, you are up against one who will complain no matter what. Some folks are just like that. Thanks for the input and the raffle.
If you follow the link the description. The Mega 2 is $816. But only for a couple days.

These reviews of all the different power sources is fantastic. your professional knowledge on the field adds great value to the videos.

Thanks for pointing out that 30 amp issue. Honest review.

Evan…could you please give us your thoughts on the Anker line of solar generators. Specifically the Anker Solix F3800. It is a 120/240 unit.

What a fun video. Thanks Evan!!
I would like a backup system that I could keep plugged in and run my pellet stove through so when power goes out the backup takes over
You should be able to do that with this power station. I have a power station plugged into my computer all the time.
How long will this unit last?
Thx
As your videos are world wide , can you also give us info in metric, they are very helpfull but more world wide info would add
👍👍👍

Yes, you should not intent to use more than 80% of the breaker continuously. It is not designed to handle that amount of current long term.

Oupes Mega 1 (0.01 minutes)... oops... Mega 2
If you give away any of these that are given to you for reviews I’d be interested.
I do plan to give these away. But it will be a random drawing.
