    Absolutely 100% correct! I've been fitting, using and servicing Eberspachers for about 13 years, there are ones to avoid, but generally, you gave a top notch rendition of what I say. 😛 As for the electric, they take 20A on start up, so for about 3 minutes and on shutdown, then about 0.3-0.5A average to 2A after that if on high temp settings. I recommend using 2 100Ah batteries to make sure it's good whenever you need it and where possible take the first power hit when the engien is running.

    I’m looking to get a roof tent and notice in the US/Canada they have portable diesel heaters and flexi tube the heat to the side of the tent… Can you do this from the interior with some sort of window blank plate to get it out you think?

    Any properly installed block heater will be on the opposite side of the engine bay to the exhaust and turbo so the actual fire risk isn't so high.
