Easily some of the best trailers ever for a game you can tell how dark and deep they are really hope you have a great time with this game as it is my all time favorite!
I love the way this turns around. It encapsulates the whole essence of the Witcher 3: What you thought the conversation was: Got other things on their minds (you've upset the wrong people) Things like me (The vulnerable woman under threat tries to flirt to avert the threatening powerful warrior) They paid me for you (I'm here to kill you for money) Times past no amount of coin would convince a Witcher to take this contract (they were too honourable to kill helpless women) Times have changed (Money talks) Woman removes her dress (Spare me and I'll give myself to you) What was actually being said Got other things on their minds (Evil creatures are about to meet their match) Things like me (I'm probably the most powerful enemy you'll ever meet) They paid me for you (Nevertheless I'm tasked to eliminate you) Times past no amount of coin would convince a Witcher to take this contract (Because they were too scared, and wise.) Times have changed (I'm a professional and I'm here to do my job) Woman removes her dress (Let battle commence)
About the song that the woman is singing at the begin, look for its lyrics. Its like a bogeyman song made for children and when you first listen to it, you think it is meant to human children. Then at the end of the song you realize that it is meant to monster children and the bogeyman here is the witcher.
Great to hear you'll be playing the expansions too. Hearts of Stone is a wonderful horror story with one of the most intimidating villains to ever grace computer screens, while Blood & Wine feels almost like a smaller sequel. The way B&W leans more into the fairytale aspect is a welcome contrast to the main game's often bleak atmosphere, though it's definitely the traditional kind of fairytale rather anything from Disney...
For a bunch of random reasons, I haven't actually PLAYED any video games in the last 4 years or so, but this was the last game I played. Damn near a perfect game. The attention to detail was wild. I ran across a camp in the woods early game with 2 or 3 dudes that attacked me. After killing and looting them, I happened to read a note pinned to a tree, which I never usually bother with. It said "We brought all the good loot to our camp just west of here. See you soon." I ran west. Camp with more guys and better loot. Blew my mind.
i still love how much CD project red held true to the books and vibe of its world. one of the story's the Netflix show failed to adapt so badly, is perfectly encapsulated within a couple of lines here. to put it short in the story a group of bandits want someone and they're holding the town hostage until they get him. the person they want is someone Geralt knows, he can't convince the person to try to leave/find a solution. and so when the bandits start to threaten to kill the townsfolk, Geralt mows them down one after another. he has saved both the person they wanted as well as the townsfolk that would/could have been killed. but the townsfolk don't see it that way, they have no idea. so the only thing they see is a witcher, geralt, murdering an entire group of armed men in daylight. and thus they throw rocks and every and anything they can find and chase him out of the town, whilst cursing him as a murderer and an abomination. so he gained the nickname, The Butcher of Blaviken. moral of the story, sometimes it is better not to make a choice at all. sometimes it is best not to involve yourself in the whole debacle. he chose the ''lesser evil'' of killing the bandits. but there was no good choice here in the end, the very fact he decided to act and make a choice in the first place was his mistake. 6:11 ''Evil is evil, lesser, greater, midling, it makes no difference. the degree is arbitrary, the definition is blurred. if i am to choose between one evil and another, i'd rather not choose at all''
If I had been there when you streamed this, I'd have recommended you played the entire series. Your save file from each game can carry over, with your choices in each affecting how the entire saga plays out.
Good for you! It's epic! A masterpiece. This was my first adult game for my switch, summer of 2021. I don't regret the purchase. I'm on my second gameplay right now. And this month, I let my newly minted 16 year old son play just the prologue. He was amazed at how well it looked with the graphics. I told him it was newer than Skyrim. His baby sister was 2 years old when TW3 came out. His other sister was 2 months old when Skyrim came out. His 13 year old brother really wants to play this game, but I won't allow it until he turns 16 to play the TW3 prologue.
If this trailer was made nowadays she would beat all of her attackers up then lecture Geralt on how she don't need no man before stealing his horse and riding off screaming "down with the patriarchy".
*Every horse Geralt says calls Roach, hardest opponents for me is Dettlaff and Olgierd von Everec. I prefer Triss Merigold she is easy going whereas Yennefer of Vandenburg is picky. Favourite thing to do play and win Gwent get crowns. Witcher 4th installment set to be 2027 or 2028. Happy Gaming.* ⚔
The potion Geralt drank before going into the barn was Black Blood, which makes his blood like poison to vampires and ghouls. It’s why she freaked out when she bit into his neck.
If you enjoy your playthrough of Witcher 3, check out Sapkowski's books. You don't need the book knowledge to understand the main story, but there are some great references to the books in the games. Especially in the DLC Blood and Wine. P.S. I'll also save you some time and energy. If you haven't watched the show, don't waste your time. Honestly, the books and games are what really bring Sapkowski's Witcher world to life.
Hahahahaha when he wakes up and you said good morning huge smile then the camera turns and you are like 🤢🫣 eww I don't know why that really tickled me 😂
Its an all time great. Combat is its weakest aspect but its still bearable. Everything else is just masterful craft and art. Red Barons Questline and Olgierd still haunt me to this day because of how good they were.
I had an absolute blast playing this game. What I liked is that if you decide not to progress the main quests and just go exploring it’s incredibly rewarding. Also when you visit taverns there’s mini game that is quite good as well. You could spend hours upon hours just playing Gwent.
One more sub! Nice content! I've had the trilogy for years in my library but just a few hours of playing. I'm more into Dragon Age franchise and Skyrim (both heavilly modded).
I'm on my 6th playthrough, this game is just so freaking good, I can never play it the same way each playthrough, it's always a different experience, so many choices to make, so many morals to break.
That first trailer Geralt drank the potion and let the vampire bite him so the potion would stop her from going invisible which also makes her invincible too so he could kill her theirs lots of layers to the trailer
One of the games I wish I could experience the first time all over again. I'd definitely recommend against watching any of the trailers for the DLCs though, as they're absolutely jam packed with spoilers. If I recall correctly the trailer for Hearts of Stone basically gives you the entire plot, which made me _extremely_ glad I'd played through it blind
The witcher is top tier & the DLC's are like full on new games in their own right. Really great skill tree with magic, potions and combat skills. A lot of the skills look underwhelming with minor percentage increases but the way things stack and combine is really fun. The combat can feel a bit jarring early on as it has a certain timing and rhythm unlike other games, but it does start to get really good. The atmos is grim but there is also a great sense of humour, often from Geralt, hope you enjoy. If you play Knights of the Old Republic after this that will be like my top three games of all time :)
So far after two nights playing I'm getting a lot more used to the combat!! It feels kinda strange at first but I'm starting to really like it- the spells are really fun, can't wait to see how high levels feel
Definitely one of the best games around. I highly recommend looking up a few videos that get you up to speed on the lore and characters and everything that happened in the first two games before you actually start this
I love the games univers because it feels real. Many games and movies show the world threw w moder day perspective. The whicher stripes away our precinfitioned beliefs based on our cozy lives. Take the trailer Killing monstars. There is so much storytelling in this short clip. One of the things that most people glance over is what the woman has been charged for. Many asume she is an innocent victim weongly convicted of made up crimes and is being punished for a crimes she did not commit. The reality is much darker. The woman is from a temerian village. Nilfguard has invaded Temeria and captured many vilages. The men when to war and many died in batle. The Temerian lords probably took money from the vilages to sustain the army and aid the war effort. With most men gone and most food gone the vilages go hingry. The nearby fields are covered in thousands of dead bodies. The occupied territoey and its people (mostly women and childre at the mercy of the invadors that take advantage of this situation. The women and children have to resort to looting, pilaging and canibalism to survive. To maintain order the invaders have to punish people that commit such crimes to prevent other people from doing the same things. This is what the woman in the video did and what she was convicted of. She has done horrific things to survive. He is a culprite and a victim. The men that are executing the court orders do so in acordance with the law and they are disgusted with her actions (looting, robing corpses and canibalism). The woman is a victim of siecumstance. She had no say in the war happening, but has to bear the consequence of war and do whatever it takes to survive. The Nilfguard soldier are suppose to prevent desperate hungry people from looting, robing the dead and canibalism by punishing people who commit such crimes. Gerlt feels bad for the woman he helps her but his actions do not change anything in tbe long run. The woman still has to survive aftermath of war in an occupied country which means commiting horrible acts to survive. Saving her does not impact how similar criminals are treated. War will cause chaos, poverty and tragedy and in extreme situations it will push people to the extreme.
I never would have thought they gave the lady a whole back story! That's super interesting and adds a lot of weight to Geralt killing the soldiers. I will say though, the way the soldiers were treating that woman was wayyy over the line of being ok 😅
@@PaigeTheWitchThe soldiers are Nilfguardian. They represent the conquerors and new administratora responsible for keeping law and order. The Woman is from a Temerian village. Most likely the men from their village were drafted into the Temerian army and died in battle. There is litterally no one to protect this woman and objectivly she has commited crimes that must be punished by the new authorities to send a message to the rest of the conquered population. The Nilfguardian soldiers saw their comrads die in batle and they hate Temerian. The higher ups demand that the soldiers don’t mistreat the conquered people too much but they also want to prevent/discourage looting, grave robbing and canibalism - because they want to maintain law and order. This is why the woman was sentenced. The Nilfguardian soldiers whom saw the horrors of war, including their comrads being killed by Temeraian soldiers have a legal excuse to mistreat this Temerian woman and wife, doughter or sister or the Temerian soldiers they hate, because she is a convicted criminal sentenced to death. The language they use towards her calling her a „whore” and staging her by the hair clearly shows the hate and contrmpt they have for her as a Temerian. Having a legal reason to execute her and knowing that there is no one to defend her they decide to strip her of the last remnants of dignity she might have before they „execute her”. It’s clear that the Nilfguardian officers forbid their soldiers from mistreating the locals and probably punish such atampts. This is why in this case the soldiers want to torture, dehumanized and sadistically kill the woman covering it up with the execution. One of the soldiers tells the other one to „bring the hammer”. The soldiers know that they will get away with it because there is no one that can protect her and they represent the law. The occupation butocracy will not care how a Temerian peasent woman convicted for seriouce crimes was treated prior to her execution. This is why the soldiers feel they can get away with fulfiling their sadistic need to humiliate their enemy „within the legal confinds” of her execution order. Geralt decides to kill the three men, leaving no witneses and he chooses to use a knife to not raise suspition that he killed them as people know that the soldiers payed a Whicher to delay some monster whos head he brongs them. All this information is conveys in the video especialy after you explore the world and understan what is happening. The enire map has so many well thought threw details that directly and indirectly explain what is happening from different perspectives creating the most realistic world i have ever seen. Characters are bot balcka and white, good or evil. The actions and motovations of every person can be explained and understood. There is a logic behind every character. To understand each character you have to look and judge the situation from the perspective of each person in that specific situation. What the woman did and what the soldiers did from our perspective is horrible but we need to look at it from the perspective of these characters. What forced a young woman to wonder threw batlefields and loot rooting dismembered corpses, what made her resort to canibalism. When you travel three Temeria you can see burned vilages, the vilages handed from trees. Some are deserters, others were killed by the invading army. The crimes commited by this young woman paint a horrific picture of what she must have went threw to be pushed to such desperate extreem actions. Look at the war crimes Russians are commiting in Ukraine. The invading army has guns the civilians that found themselves under occupation are at tge mercy of the invadors that have guns and if they choose to commit war crimes there is no one to stop them. If the invaders stop fighting the war ends. If the defenders stop fighting they become conquered and have to suffer whatever the conquerors subject the conquered to.

недавно сыграл в эту игру первый раз, и просто ппц, ни какие АС не сравнятся, Поляки создали такую систему боя ===========невероятную, можно такие чудеса вытворять
I CANT believe i tried to play this like 2 times.. and didnt like the beggining cause was too long, but 3rd time im LIKE lets go for it.. and OH BOY! best game i ever played
Easily some of the best trailers ever for a game you can tell how dark and deep they are really hope you have a great time with this game as it is my all time favorite!
welcome to our family, i envy you this experience
Man: Wha, wha, what are you doing?
Paige: Reviewing... Witcher.
*(Epic music fadeout)*
welcome to the game community you "sleepers under the rock for years gamers" , i'm glad you found this gem after 9 years of it's release.
I love the way this turns around. It encapsulates the whole essence of the Witcher 3:
What you thought the conversation was:
Got other things on their minds (you've upset the wrong people)
Things like me (The vulnerable woman under threat tries to flirt to avert the threatening powerful warrior)
They paid me for you (I'm here to kill you for money)
Times past no amount of coin would convince a Witcher to take this contract (they were too honourable to kill helpless women)
Times have changed (Money talks)
Woman removes her dress (Spare me and I'll give myself to you)
What was actually being said
Got other things on their minds (Evil creatures are about to meet their match)
Things like me (I'm probably the most powerful enemy you'll ever meet)
They paid me for you (Nevertheless I'm tasked to eliminate you)
Times past no amount of coin would convince a Witcher to take this contract (Because they were too scared, and wise.)
Times have changed (I'm a professional and I'm here to do my job)
Woman removes her dress (Let battle commence)
One thing I don’t think anyone notices is when he says “make it quick”, Geralt defiantly puts the sword back…it could have been quicker lol
Man I wish I could experience this game for the first time again, best gaming experience of my life by a long shot
Never too late to play an Action-RPG gem like The Witcher games. Have fun!
Which makes it even more sad that CDPR isnt CDPR anymore and the new remakes and new Witcher game wont come any where near this level of perfection.
@@afcansf5996 CP 2.0 + PL came pretty damn close. I'm not that pessimistic about few more classics coming from CDPR.
I heard you carry two swords, one silver for monsters, and one steel for men.
They're both for monsters
Amazing game one of the best rpg of all-time for me happy gaming from Greece 🎮👍🇬🇷
"Looks like it's gonna be pretty cool..."
Lady, you are in for the best gaming experience of your life!
"Killing Monsters" is who Geralt of Rivia is.
See you soon."
I ran west.
6:11
''Evil is evil, lesser, greater, midling, it makes no difference.
the degree is arbitrary, the definition is blurred.
if i am to choose between one evil and another, i'd rather not choose at all''
If I had been there when you streamed this, I'd have recommended you played the entire series.
Your save file from each game can carry over, with your choices in each affecting how the entire saga plays out.
I am proud of being Polish. This game is a real diamond.
Waited for this, best game ever you'll be stuned! GL
I'm replaying this wonderful game right now! Geralt such an amazing protagonist
The Witcher 3 is one of the best games ever
I must play this game....again :P
*Every horse Geralt says calls Roach, hardest opponents for me is Dettlaff and Olgierd von Everec. I prefer Triss Merigold she is easy going whereas Yennefer of Vandenburg is picky. Favourite thing to do play and win Gwent get crowns. Witcher 4th installment set to be 2027 or 2028. Happy Gaming.* ⚔
The potion Geralt drank before going into the barn was Black Blood, which makes his blood like poison to vampires and ghouls. It’s why she freaked out when she bit into his neck.
well no shit
Nilfguardian : tough hunt!!
Geralt: tougher than yours.....as certain!!
After 9 years still the best game on the market. Good job Poles
Yes great to see that you are watching Witcher 3. One of my absolute favourite games ever. Stay awesome Paige. Its a phenomenal game
Thank you so much! Im having a blast with the game so far and I’m only 10 hours in 😊
@@PaigeTheWitch yeah ten hours in Witcher 3 is like half a hour in most normal games.
I bought the first Witcher audio book and have started listening to it! So far it’s great 😊
@PaigeTheWitch Once you get into the books, you're going to enjoy and appreciate the work CDPR did. Good luck on the path, Witcher.
Holy shit first ever playthrough I'm so jealous...
The best game i ever played
Hahahahaha when he wakes up and you said good morning huge smile then the camera turns and you are like 🤢🫣 eww I don't know why that really tickled me 😂
Its an all time great.
Combat is its weakest aspect but its still bearable. Everything else is just masterful craft and art. Red Barons Questline and Olgierd still haunt me to this day because of how good they were.
I really like the combat to be fair when you play on the harder difficulties
I had an absolute blast playing this game. What I liked is that if you decide not to progress the main quests and just go exploring it’s incredibly rewarding. Also when you visit taverns there’s mini game that is quite good as well. You could spend hours upon hours just playing Gwent.
I’ve been doing everything I can! The world is so amazing and the side quests have so much depth 😊
One of the best games of all time. Glad to see you play it :3
One more sub! Nice content!
I've had the trilogy for years in my library but just a few hours of playing. I'm more into Dragon Age franchise and Skyrim (both heavilly modded).
Modded Skyrim is my abosolute favorite, and I've gotta actually play through the whole Dragon Age series soon! Appreciate it :)
Best game I've ever played. The vampires in particular are very difficult and dangerous - Igni and Black Blood all the way!
POLAND MENTIONED!!!
Look forward to a first-class game, I've already played it twice and want to play it again with the souped-up version.
The killing monsters line from the trailer is nice touch cause shows not all monsters are well....monsters
Agreed, it’s an amazing line!
I still get chills watching this trailer
Probably projekt red's best work , played it twice through .
Cyberpunk is also amazing! They just make good games lol
What would i give to play this masterpiece for the first time again, so jealous, good luck on the path ^.^
The books are so easy to read and amazing. Geralt is my favorite boi and there's a reason why this game is goated.
I'm on my 6th playthrough, this game is just so freaking good, I can never play it the same way each playthrough, it's always a different experience, so many choices to make, so many morals to break.
I loved The Killing Monsters trailer. I feel like the books and games such as The Witcher can teach people a lot about morality
can´t believe someone did not played the best game ever!
Games advance a lot even within a years time. This game was released in 2015 and still the best fantasy rpg ever made.
I only watched these two trailers and nothing else! Going into this game blind has been magical 😊
Welcome to Witcher family 😊
So Geralt turned his eyes into sith eyes!!!!!!! Interesting twist of event!!!!!
Never played Witcher III before? You are in for a treat. BEST. GAME. EVER!
I highly recommend looking up a few videos that get you up to speed on the lore and characters and everything that happened in the first two games before you actually start this
you would love it if you like fantasy. Have fun!
"You know nothing, Jon Snow"
Oh no, why did I watch this? I'm going to have to play through the game.
Again.
I love that in the game lambert made fun of Geralt for the "Killing Monsters" line.
"monster preview" you got it right!
One of the best Games ever made a true Masterpiece
If life came as a glove, the other hand would be this game
Played the witcher 3 at least 6 times and I still want to play again.😅😂
I'm playing it for the first time now too.
After outting 200+ hrs unto this game including new game plus once the dlcs came out like damn. Sooo good. Think I might play it though again
an advice from me who played it 3 times, do every quest and walk every corner of the game . do the side quests first :)
"I carry two swords. One of silver for creatures that roam the wilds, the other steel for humans in their cities of stone. Both are for killing monsters"
