CHARLOTTE TRAIL RANKINGS #15 | SHERMAN BRANCH

Breaking in the top 15 is Sherman Branch Nature Preserve. Most people have ridden Sherman before but if you haven't, here's the rundown. The trail is about 12 miles if you do all three loops and there are not a whole lot of features throughout but the flow is there if you're on a fast rolling bike. This is a really good beginner trail and not super long if you don't hit all three loops. Fitness doesn't have to be great to run the loop. Where this trail really shines is if you are really into XC and throwing down fast hot laps. My personal best is a 54:56 and the KOM is around 45 minutes. If you haven't ridden this trail, definitely check it out and let me know!

I remember when that trail first opened. People talked about like they talk about Airline now. I rode it once in its infancy, it was cool but fifty miles away from me. When I used to ride a lot, I liked Kerr Scott better, and it was the same, fifty miles away. So I would pick that over Sherman.
