      I live in Texas, and I have a pecan tree and other trees that shed their leafs in autumn, ever since I moved in my neighbor keeps asking me, when I'm cutting down the trees, and I always say, they give me oxygen and shade from the summer heat. Then every autumn he asks me, hey Charlotte, when are you gonna pick up your leafs? And I always tell him they are the home of all the bugs for the winter months, plus you know they become mulch for my plants too. Gosh, I swear my neighbor must think I'm nuts, but these are my answers to him for the last 20 years living next to him.🤭
      I just don't know why he keeps asking me.🙃

      Idk if you ignorant or didn't know anything about Southeast Asia flora and fauna. Tropical forest is not only found in South America, neither you can feel entitled enough to claim it like it only belong to your continent. Southeast Asia is hot and humid region with Tropical forest biomes, it's in the equatorial line same with South America. In fact, two Tropical rainforest in Southeast Asia is a lot more older than Amazon like, Borneo and Taman Negara.

    • @cacogenicist
      @cacogenicist 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@Justin1an- They are referring to the *_many_* South American plants in the garden. The man is an aroid collector, and he sells aroids -- aroids are from South America.
      There are many SE Asian plants as well, but the aroids are the first thing you notice (and South American cycads). So, yes, it does look like a South American garden.

      He should bring back our Arara Azul (our blue parrot). He say was legally bought but is not true. Every brazilian know that they cant be sold legally just in the black market. Our last Arara Azul died and people like him bought the whole rest ILLEGALLY. Maybe the person who sold him said it was legal but a simple online search would show him it wasn't true. It's so sad to see the end of a specie because people think is cool to have a blue bird in a cage. Extremely sad!

    pak Chandra and Leafy Irene, thank you so much for sharing this wonderful opportunity to let me take part in a tour of such a grand magnificent garden and expensive knowledge. I am a young plant enthusiast also from the metropolitan city of Jakarta, I am a overseas college student who currently live in another city to finish my study. I often helped my grandmother to take care and save neglected dying plants in our lush garden, and now I have brought that habit to my small space boarding house (kost-an). Day passed by and my grandma is getting older, she may no longer be able to care for the garden at any time. So that the management of the home garden will be passed directly to me. Even though I'm happy to have it, it will also going to give me a difficult time to manage everything alone. Sometimes I feel stressed and overwhelmed because I have to check every plant once a week thoroughly to prevent pests, until this video crossed my timeline. This was an eye opening experience with a pack of helpful tips, I learned that no matter how hard I try to save, you can't always save everything. That's the law of nature, we have to let them and ourselves free, grow wild naturally.
    Pak Chandra i would love to know and talk to you, and maybe i could visit and even have the garden tour myself hehe. such an inspiration!
    I really appreciate your openness to providing knowledge

    Gorgeous garden and so healthy! I owned a farm in US for 25 years. Always organic and the amount of wildlife drawn to it was phenomenal . Mamas (birds, deer, foxes, opossum, raccoon, frogs, toads, snakes, insects) of all species came there to live and give birth and there were so many types of dragonflies!! People do so much damage with herbicides and pesticides. So much is being learned about how plants & soil fungi care for each other and are symbiotic - providing nutrients to ones who are stressed or sick - when Nature is left alone to achieve balance.

    This man knows how to lounge around. What a great balance. It essentially creates an atmosphere where you can find energy through movement- that can be hard to do in a small apartment with little green space in the city. If you move through the world with a positive, nurturing perspective- you can see how it adds another layer of essence with this environment. All without lessons from a teacher, or a plane flight where the spices are different.
    I don’t know if everyone should live in an environment like this- yet it projects desire that is accustomed to the earths limitations- without any physical, man-held chemistry induced reactions.
    ~It makes you wonder how houses like this can be incorporated in other areas of world, utilizing the natural born plants as to induce an increase in the vibrational frequency- without requiring change within ones beliefs~
    This isn’t just a house. It’s a philosophy a man held, along with the self control and will to realize. You can tell he cares about future generations or at the very least knows how to get out of the way and enjoy life. Can you imagine where this philosophy would be in the world if he didn’t care about his environment? Lots of hidden respect. A very kind and humble man.

    This episode is my favorite so far. The video quality is good. I love Chandra's personality. He is very charming and warm. I only have small plant collection and started my tropical inspired garden here in the UK about 3 years ago. I also have quite a few indoor tropical plants. Chandr'a garden is very inspring! I hope to incorporate his ideas to my garden when budget allows.

    I love to see people honoring the self-regulating power of nature in their garden. Most people just like their grassy fertilized patch and even freak out at the sight of ants. But to imitate nature perfectly, inside a city, it's a true labor of love and one of the kindest things one can do to repay the Earth for her gifts. From one jungle gardener to another, thank you. The only thing that would make this perfect would be to see that beautiful macaw bird free, outside the cage, like his second child 😉
