I have two stories: when I started going to the gym I saw this dude who was grunting a lot. I thought he was just doing that to get attention, he was in a good shape. Months later I needed to use an equipment that he was using and he said he had 2 sets left. He even came over to let me know when he was done. I learned to never judge a book by its cover.
Second story: I was doing squads and a random older person came over and he said, “can I correct your squads”? I was very surprised at first but with a growth mindset I told him sure. He spent 40 mins of his time trying to correct my form. I’ll always be thankful to him.
Moral of the story is, not everyone at the gym is an as*hole

Felt like watching myself few years ago. I’ve also went through similar difficult and surprising learning curve in gym. This video is pure motivation to resume going to and exercising in gym. Also, following diet is hard when you have loveable people around you encouraging in opposite way. Especially I like and respect the Ignore and Unlearn part, it needs a clear mind to realise such things. BTW this is my first ever comment in TH-cam, I couldn’t resist expressing my comment for this video. After all, thanks for this video.
