Are you telling me that the main feature of a para is to be able to focus/defocus light, but the newer/smaller parabolics aren't that good/precise for what should makes them different?

Hi there,
The difference lies between the small (88 and 133) and large (177 and 222) Paras, regardless of the build year:
The large ones have a very glossy reflector material, therefore we call it very precise, the difference between focused and defocused is extreme.
If we used the same material for the small ones, the light would be very hard and aggressive. We compensate for the smaller diameter with somewhat more texture on the reflector material. The light is a bit softer and more even, but the texture also reduces the ability of focusing the small Para as precisely as the large ones.
