How blessed Steve is to haveBob Ross for his dad! He is doing his dad proud too! What a lacy Bob left behind! R.I.P. Bob Ross. You are loved and missed by millions of happy viewers. Thank you for sharing your awesome skills as a painter.
I kinda wish Steve would revive the Joy of Painting with himself as the host...I know it won't be the same, but at least he'll keep the family business going!
Steve was very disappointed by what happened to his fathers name (and how it was exploited by people his father once trusted) according to a documentary about his father. I’d advise everyone to view it to see the dark side of American Capitalism.
This episode takes me back during my childhood where my mom would record Bob Ross for me when I was in school. She found out about the death of Bob Ross when a worded excerpt followed by a black and white picture of Bob smiling as he was painting and then it showed 1942-1995. She didn't record that because she didn't want to see me hurt. It was like the next episode or so that I saw that worded excerpt for the first time I was so heartbroken and it was 3 days shy of my 11th birthday.
The slightly different mountain snow and shadow technique Steve used was better than his fathers, looked much more real. But those huge ass foothills on the right destroyed the whole painting, those needed some happy little evergreens.
That was fantastic! I am excited to start painting landscapes. Thank you for posting these tutorials. You both bring such a peace into painting. Thank you.
Steve was 18 when the show first began... it's so crazy to think that a literal decade passed from beginning to end when you're watching these episodes in marathon sessions like I do.
I understand Bob is proud of his son as any father would be but I feel he goes over the top in pumping up Steve's abilities. Come on Bob! I can't believe you received so many cards and letters for his past performances.
Why do you pervs go on about the way Steve looks? So juvenile. He's here to show his talent. And damn near all guys looked like this in the 70s and 80s. Rock on Steve, you should have your own show, you would be great!
I get different personalities, but Steve seems to be a touch more aggressive in his execution. It's not bad by any means, it's just a reminder of how absolutely gentle Bob was. Makes me appreciate him even more
"First you just start off by touching real light-like; and then you pull to the lefthand side" I'm learning lots of things from Steve Ross but none of it is to do with painting.
I Love Steve. But he does have a dark side to him, an innocent one not like he's a bad person but he does use words like " smash " , " bleed " , " kill " as adjectives to describe his techniques in his paintings. He probably didn't like all that traveling he had to do as a kid which is VERY TOUGH on a kid when your Father is a Career Army Officer and constantly moves from Country to Country and State to State. But he obviously loves his father and Bob is definitely proud of his son. And they love each other as they got older and grew closer. God Bless the both of them and RIP t ok one of the greatest humans to humanity Mr. Bob Ross 😇🙏
You can see the light in Bob's eye. Dad's proud.
I saw it too. lol.
dad = dab
yass
@@aisy5219 Stop the cringe.
I love how Bob loves to show off his son in his series. He's so proud of him and Steve is always so embarrassed.
It's almost completely like an excaxr clone little version of bob ross that's younger and same personality still that it's still him inside
Even if I didn't know that was his son I could just tell it reminds me of him

I love how he calls him "dad" to everyone else he is Bob Ross!
Wow. Bob taught him well, that's a beautiful painting.
Oh my God the dramatic foothills! I love Steve!
Steve should do a series of episodes. The Joy of Painting: The Next Generation
He def should have done that 40 years ago...its a little too late now

A slight variation of Bob's Technique but really good as well... Steve is a great painter and teacher...
Such a shame how the Kowalski's treated Steve after Bob passed.
May you elaborate?
Tengo 19 años, y me arrepiento no haber encontrado a Bob antes, Dios, ¡es espectaculaaaar!
That was AWESOME!!! Remember watching Bob paint on Channel 12 in South Jersey. 1988...WOW!!! Where did the time go?
Yeah exactly
I like the brighter colors that you gave it. Beautiful ❤️❤️
The slightly different mountain snow and shadow technique Steve used was better than his fathers, looked much more real.

light lavender would be good for the folliage. to make like a purple lustrife.
I guess even Steve picked up the "liquid HWhite"
His son is just as talented as his father
He's good, but I think Bob is better
Nice stash breh
li'l devil can really paint.
If he's lil devil, and Bob Ross is the father, does that mean when Bob is cleaning the brush he beats himself out of the brush?
@@Damatovg i want that stuff too

Founding father of ASMR. i wish Steve would have continued.
the fact that Steve and Bob are typical names is so ironic
That isn't ironic at all
Do you even know what ironic means? It means that what happened is the opposite of what was expected to happen.
+Benny Dover Well judging from the definition you gave, that makes two of you brotha
wait....what did i say?
bloppity bloop That's a pretty textbook definition actually
Que bellesa
Dammit Steve, make the sounds darn you😦

"You gotta smash it." or "They're so big you gotta convince them to do the right thing."😁😛😜
Bob Ross is 6' 2" (same as me ;D) so I reckon his son is about 6' 4"-6' 5"!
Steve had his mic too close.
Sounds like they had the audio set for Bob but did not adjust it for Steve.
10:00, I always use the tip of my big brush to smash it in....😋😋😋😋😋😋
MAI BOI STEVEN
Oh please, I'm using purple and blue and red along with yellow. Like, plants are all over the place in color.
savage moustache
Liquid white sounds like it's a little grainy and sandy
those foot hills never look like trees to me. Just hills of grass.
