Will I ever see my daughters again? America won't let that happen. It has serious consequences in our family court system. Chil abuse should be taken seriously. Aiken girls missing in Charlotte North Carolina since 2017

Steven's adoptive parents are WONDERFUL! They weren't selfish, and did what was best for STEVEN, His dad said it best-----the more love a child has, the better. His bio mom lucked out with this special couple as well, especially when they sent her the books each year! This story was ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!! ❤

Thank you for including the birth mom in the raising of your son. I’m adopted and it was a closed one. the struggle of not knowing your birth parents is real. I just spent my first Christmas in 56 years with my Ukrainian birth family. Full circle family is love. Oh what a ride! ❤

I’m almost 54 and the same thing happened to me!! I AGREE!!!!! My birth mother found me when I was 30! I didn’t meet my birth father before he passed. I was raised w one half-sibling and as an adult I have a relationship with the others on both sides. One I just met last year. I also maintain contact with cousins too. It took quite a psychological toll as a child and I think for me, I’ll always need therapy. Mostly I had a pretty loving family, but I was 2.5 years old, so there’s some abandonment issues there, because I remember my adoption day and even though my family was a blessing it was still traumatic. 💔❤️‍🩹

I was brutally raped by a man where I worked. I refused to go out with him because of religious differences. I got pregnant from that encounter, I was 21. I chose adoption over abortion. It was the hardest thing I've ever done but I knew I was giving him a much better life. He's 44 yrs. old, I've never had contact with him but I think of and pray for him often. I hope he knows I loved him enough to give him up.

This was a really sweet story. I’m happy for them some people who put their kids up for adoption never know if they did the right thing and end up filled with guilt but this beautiful couple did an amazing job of keeping in touch with her and being honest to their son and I love it. He never had to wonder or worry about where he came from and he got extra people to love him 🥰

What a beautiful story! What wonderful adoptive parents to have such an open mind and an open heart! I am an adopted child who was born in the '60s when everything was a secret. I have since become very good friends with my birth mother from the age of 21. I am now 60. My daughter at 15 had an unplanned pregnancy and gave up her son for adoption, so I have been on both sides of the fence for this life experience. Her's is and open adoption to and much like this adoptive couple, the parents of my daughter's son are remarkable people who include my daughter in many aspects of her son's life. I see the benefits of this version of adoption versus my experience growing up. Though my adoptive parents were always open about the fact that myself and my brother and sister were all adopted and we were wanted and very special children to them, that little aspect of not knowing so much about who we were was always in the background. Hats off to these amazing people! What a beautiful story!

I agree, what wonderfully loving people. Some parents, mothers especially, would allow insecurity and jealousy about having the biological mother involved direct their actions. Instead, they actively included her when they had no legal obligation to. My mom was adopted as a baby and when I was a kid she always told that it didn't impact her negatively and that the family you're raised with is your real family, etc
As an adult, it's very clear to me that being adopted did have effects on her, some that I think she's only really coming to terms with in her 60s.

Just saw this story on Google news…& omg ALL of the grownups right from the beginning were SUCH EXCEPTIONAL HUMAN BEINGS!!! Austen to recognize that she couldn’t care for a baby yet, & so gave him up to be adopted. And then immediately IMMEDIATELY the adoptive mom said “you can never have too many people to love you.” THAT is the most profound idea to come from this whole story. And the proof is in the end of the story…Steven named HIS baby boy Riley, which was Steven’s birth name.
This is a story that makes me believe in people again, & gives me hope that somehow humanity will survive all the GOPs & criminal conspiracies & corrupt politicians that are out there.
    These people.
    This WONDERFUL family.
Steven & Riley, you boys are BOTH blessed that the Universe dropped you where it did.

Too bad my open adoption never came through. I gave my daughter to a family to raise, rather than live with my unprepared life. I sent her family a few cards, including gift cards during her first two years of life. I don't know if the family kept those cards, or threw them out. I never even received a response. Yet, the State of Texas didn't live up to the open adoption agreement. So, it is now 2023, and my daughter is going to turn 25. I don't know how to contact her, since she is over the age of 21. I could try to write a letter to Texas to see if they can help me reunite. Or, just forget her. This pains me. I only have one photo of her from age 2.

@Geraldine Braun Be encouraged🤗 You could contact a Christian organization and ask for help. CBN's "The 700 Club" are good people. (They are actually on CBS in the morning at 9a.m.) Call them for info and prayer.
🔹Meanwhile also call *Non-Denominational ministries* for prayer. (Bcs SOME of the OTHER ministries believe in 1 or several of the following: False books accompany the Holy Bible, changed the words of John 1:1 from the original, pray to Angels or dead people, or believe Jesus is an Angel or satan's brother!) You don't have to give them your information, you can just give them your first name. Thank God IN ADVANCE for victory.
🔹Many adopted children struggle when they don't know their birth parents. They feel very happy when they meet their birth parent(s) and know they were loved. DON'T GIVE UP!
🔹 *Declare God's promises over your life a.m. & p.m. Personalize them. For e.g. Thank You Lord for loving me unconditionally according to John 3:16, "For God so loved the world...." biblegateway . com is a great resource to find promises.* Print them out & keep in a folder for easy use. The NLT Version is easy to understand.
🔹You can also buy a book called "1000 Bible Promises by Barbour Publishing."
Hugs & Godly love to you! 💙

I know this is old, but if you haven't found her yet, have you tried 23andme or ancestry dna testing? You can see your dna relatives and how related you are (like 2nd cousin, sibling, child, etc) If she's taken either one and opted into family matching to try to find you, you would see her on there.
