This is genius!! My husband and I eat a ton of spaghetti squash and never thought to cut it in rings by the width of the squash! It makes so much sense! Thanks Brittany!
I'm a 33 year old man finally venturing into the kitchen on my own. Someone gave me a huge spaghetti squash and after watching several videos this is the best one. Thank you for getting right to the point and speaking clearly.
Your technique works the best of any I'VE tried. Thank you so much. Another bonus I have to share, is since I don't try to eat an entire squash, I was able to reheat in the microwave and each ring made a perfect portion for a great meal. Thank you again.😊👍👀

Just tried it. I'm diabetic and can't have regular pasta. It's not identical to pasta but it's every bit as satisfying in it's own right and simple as hell. Thank you so much - with my home made diabetic sauce this was a grand slam and now for the first time in years "pasta" and "spaghetti" is back on the menu.
I've tried to cook Spaghetti Squash several times and was not satisfied with the results and almost never cooked it again. I love the taste of it and decided to give it one more go...this was perfect. I'm so glad I tried this again
I made spaghetti squash as pasta substitute for the 1st time recently, and I used your video as my guide to cutting/cooking it. All I can say is THANK YOU! Loved the long the strands, truly felt I was having pasta. I shared this video with a coworker and she loved your method as well. 😊
I’ve followed your recipe ( cutting the squash in rings and bake it 30 min on 200 ℃) and it was so easy and yummy! Thanks for the instructions and lots of love from Germany
Out of the variety of squash noodles vids, this one actually works & is simple, easy, effective and delicious! I switched up the olive oil and utilized truffle oil instead with Himalayan sea salt and pepper = amazing💕
This is best. I've tried other methods but the squash comes out so much better this way. I keep coming back to this video because it is better than the others.
I’ve been watching different spaghetti squash videos for several hours now. (Not an exaggeration). Your method is far superior to the others. Everyone who fails to make cuts which end up being rings is doing it incorrectly. You are now the absolute authority of all things which are spaghetti squash and any other spaghetti squash adjacent subjects.
I have been struggling with cutting the spaghetti squash for years, I can't wait to try this method. Being an older lady, I am hoping this is going to help! As far as roasting them, I really like to use parchment paper, makes easy clean up.
Tried this once and was instantly hooked! I’ve actually never made it any other way. Love it this way and I preach to everyone to cut it in rings and roast. Thank you for this!
I just used your method to make this and it was so good!!! My kids even loved it, I made it as a pasta. Thank you for sharing! The flavor of the seasonings with oil tasted like it melted into the squash. So good!
❤ THANK U! Always have cut it the long way. A real pain. Your way is sooo much easier. Easier to remove the seeds, remove the 'spagehtti' strands, and the finished texture was better. Thank you again, rocket
I cannot believe it took so long to find an easy way to get the seeds out and roast. I actually did this method the other day. Again just BRILLIANT!!! worked like a charm.
This is a really good idea! Nice for portioning it out too. I've also found that microwaving the squash for a bit before cutting makes it a lot easier. You have to poke holes in it like a potato first
This really is the best way to make spaghetti squash! And if you make the rings equal small sizes, it’s portion sized! Thank you so much for this trick, it was absolutely delicious!
This worked absolutely perfectly! I cut my rings a little too thick, so a little longer was necessary, but it's not watery, for the first time ever! Yay! Gonna be doing it this way from hence forth!
If you put all your seeds, peels, whatever in a blender and water it down a bit. Pour on your outdoor plants and they will LOVE you... best liquid fertilizer.
It's called compost. You have to let it rot first to be of any good. You don't want that decomposing around your shrubs I wouldn't add the seeds you can end up with odd less of squash.
@@peggirl152 seeds won’t do much sprouting after the blender treatment LOL. “Sheet” composting (spreading organic on the surface) is an ancient practice. nature will decompose this blender juice in a couple of days and it will be bioavailable.
I did not know this was a thing! I’ve now looked it up and will start right away with today’s breakfast compostables. Thx for the inspiration. It will benefit our community garden as well.
Thanks for this! I made spaghetti squash for the first time this week, but got short little pieces that weren’t reminiscent of spaghetti. The flavour was great, but it didn’t feel like a replacement for spaghetti. I am definitely going to try again using your method!
Now is my third time cutting and cooking spaghetti squash and using this cutting method and recipe is my new favorite. Thanks so much Brittany... especially from my husband and family😃
All yes! I love spaghetti squash, but the cutting hassle deters me from eating it as often as I'd like. This was a game changer for me! LOL. Having it for my breakfast this morning and am officially following your page for more ideas to follow! Thanks so much!
I like this squash . I quit fixing it because it was too much of a hassle to prep. I'm going to try this method and maybe I'll become another satisfied consumer of spaghetti squash.
I put my squash on a dish towel and cut it with a hand saw that is only used for food. It makes it easier to cut and of course it's much safer. Besides squash I also use this cutting method for melons too.
Brittani, I LIKE this method! You cut it up ahead of time, so that you don't have to do a big scoop of seeds, it's broken into groups. 😀 I never thought of roasting the seeds, I am going to do that. I like the way you thoroughly explain the "how" and the "why." I am now a (new) subscriber! 😀😀
Great tip. I will never cut spaghetti squash long ways again. So easy to peel, I didn't even unravel the spaghetti, just put it on the plate and filled it with red sauce and Italian sausage cooked in 3 cloves of garlic then topped with parmesan cheese. It is like the spaghetti wheels are perfect bowls on a plate to hold the sauce and makes for a great presentation. Thanks so much.
I really liked cutting and cooking it in rings instead of lengthwise. It was hard to cut but it made it easy to scoop out and even portion out for meals. Thanks for sharing!

Hi. I found this video last year and made it and LOVED IT! We don't like the carbs of pasta. I make my own sauce from the garden and grow our own squash. Believe it or not, it is Dec 7, 2021 and we still have one squash left that has been sitting in the fridge drawer. Has a couple blemishes on the outside but those are pealed off anyway. The insides look great and with the cutting style it was easy to inspect it all the way around. It was just starting to go on the skin but nothing inside is mushy in the least. I'm shocked sometimes how long these can last from the garden into the winter. It's in the oven now and I'm expecting another great meal! I returned to your technique once again, as it is truly the best way to prepare. Thank you!
