There is a mod called "sloped walls" that can be used for extremely cheap but OP defenses, if you're interested in not getting clapped but also not working your colonists to exhaustion to achieve that. Pawns can climb over sloped walls, but not shoot through them, so they're like the opposite of embrasures. Also, non-embrasure wall, with two embrasures on either side, with a pawn behind the non-embrasure wall, gives the best cover.
Well...if ya don't mind. If the horse is female, name her Zosma, after my late friends Centaur Barbarian character. If its male, then I don't know, Horsey :P
