I was very surprised to hear this anime had the Budapest Philharmonic Orchestra or something like that perform some of the scoring, but seeing the actual complexity in even this Helvetica standard background music it makes sense that Yuji Nomi's genius deserved it
Dude, you are so much a beast for doing this. I feel like realistically this is quite a niche interest but things like this make certain people (like myself) very very happy. Fantastic transcriptions!
Hope you don't mind some transcriptions, just did it for fun. Next week is either going to be a short arrangement or original piece (..if I finish it in time that is)
Sono 3 sounds like a liminal space music. Sono 1 and 2 sound so surreal and uncanny. But all three sound so unsettling, nerving, eerie, yet so calm and comforting at the same time
how do you decide dynamic markings in transcriptions like this? trying to account for like interpretive stuff nuances etc gives me a lot of pain (admittedly the case im privately referring to here is transcribing LIVE musicians which is probably harder) anyway anyway. is it a matter of attuning urself to overall musical/interpretive efffect. or maybe i should just not worry so much about them...
In this case, rather than referring to a de-facto standard ( like how happened with Times New Roman where there was also a "New Roman" font by another typography house ) on typography, it refers to the weight of the font. You use bold and black for printing headlines, and whatnot, and the standard thickness for the main body of an article. On screen devices we tend to use the standard weight and it's thinner variants for the same purpose.

I'm glad they did because they really brought the soundtrack to life! Even oddities like these have so much character to them.
They don’t want you to know but anyone who fronts the cash can have a philharmonic orchestra or something perform their awful meme music.
@hylje yeah or in some cases they will pay you for rights to play your music, or I guess I should say someone else's since you haven't written any.
@@hyljeYou do know this is something else before an awful meme...
hearing it without visuals, and seeing it as sheet music, gives it an oddly unsettling vibe
The sounds already unsettling in the first place without the sitcom
exactly how the music sounds
Helvetica Standard music is uncanny music
It both sounds uncanny AND looks uncanny on paper, lol
It sounds calm and soothing for me tbh. Especially sono 3
sono 3 could really be a cathedral of shadows theme
If this did play in the cathedral of shadows, it would make every single fusion into an accident.

Amazing! If only you could play the +60c shift on a piano...🥲
time to bring out the tuning hammer
Lol

had no idea there's a song named after the font 😂
nice work!
It's from the anime nichijou. One of my favourites :)

아니 sono 2는 진짜 어떻게 듣기만으로 악보로 만든건지 상상이 안되네;;
진짜 천재이시네요 ㄷㄷㄷ

LOL. I almost forgot this was a thing. I remember being instantly captivated by this strange music. I loved this video.
Sono 3 is so beautiful
sono 1 gave me nightmare
sono 2 gave me nostalgia
sono 3 gave me ascension
I've been obsessed with that intro for like a week, thank you for transcribing it
You are so underrated 😭😭😭😭 Your arrangements are always on point and your original music is beautiful and moving!!! I love your channel very much 💖💖
Also I love when you post Nichijou arrangements, its ost is so underrated
eyy these are lovely
I was always curious about the helvetica songs, so this is pretty neat
videos like this are why i love thje internet
Oh wow, now this is something i was wishing to exist, i was close to doing it myself. Incredible work!
Helvetica is not written in helvetica
helvetica standard moment
Comic sans standard
Feels like the lost children of Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson.
HELP SOME CLASSICAL MUSIC FROM SOMEONE ON THE BUS WAS PLAYING OVER SONO 2 😭😭😭
I was looking for the third one everywhere
this is awesome

이 곡 개츠엇이네 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ

Did you used Sweet Ann to the vocals?
이게 머야 ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ❤❤❤
How come I can't put this in a playlist?

😍
What are Nichijou Helvetica Standards? I can't understand
But it's very beautiful and unique
It's one of the soundtrack from an anime "nichijou". Was a bit of a meme couple years ago
the helvetica standard part is these little comedy shorts within the anime fyi
really?😂
How can a font be standardized

@@FireyDeath4 Always keep in mind your font weights!
