Yes it is truly magical! It is born in their instinct to hold up tight to their mother. The mother normally still does her daily routine like climbing around, and through this, the baby can also actively learn such survival skills from his mom.
You do a wonderful job with baby gibbon , so sad about mother. But you all rescued her and she'll never be alone!! All The best from South Australia 👍💖

Thank you for your post. This baby should be with her mama, not tourists or owners. I would hope humans can evolve to understand this. Beautiful gibbon. ❤
Gibbons might probably the rarest of the apes in the world and are disappearing fast. they have to be protected at all cost. Most are found in the jungles of the Northeastern states of India such as Assam, Tripura, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Manipur, Nagaland and Arunachal Pradesh. Here in Mizoram, we call it "Hauhûk"
Please bring in another partner and try to create an loop and keep them somewhere safe as poachers and deforestation is almost making these cute little things die
Do you not see the hypocrisy in telling people not to get selfies with these animals.. but then showing how enjoyable it is to interact with them. Videos like this are what will cause the wildlife industry to worsen.. not improve 😔
Hello BCP'10. It seems that the term of "rescue center" or "sanctuary" is quite strange to you. Endangered Primate Rescue Center is where we rescue, rehabilitate endangered primates so they can have a chance to get back to the wild. For many reasons, many of them cannot make it to survive in the wild, therefore we NEED to keep them here in our center to secure their safety. The situation of poaching in Vietnam is quite severe (and I believe it is like that anywhere else in the world). If a rare animal is in the wild and it is not fast enough to run away from poachers, it is likely that our effort of rescuing and caring for him will return back to 0 again. In this video, the people you see are actually animal keepers and volunteers at our center. Visiting animals at our rescue center raised awareness even more than zoos because we are actually trying to release them back to the wild, as long as the condition allows. If you have a chance to visit EPRC in Vietnam, you will see how much effort we put into caring for these animals, and we don't ask for anything back. Check out our facebook www.fb.com/eprc.asia if you cannot go to Vietnam. Hope that this comment will make you think and research twice before throwing stones at people again. Best wishes, EPRC from Cuc Phuong National Park, Ninh Binh, Vietnam.
Also, the enclosure for Xuc Xich in this video is the quarantine one. Newly-confiscated animals will be cared for in this enclosure for a few weeks to confirm their health status. Afterwards, he will be transferred to a bigger and open enclosure with his fellows.
Bless Sausage, she's adorable.

these gibbons are much more patient and calm unlike the rat maqaqes
Peter Bilt yeah, gibbons are nice and docile!
Maybe the baby macaques would be more patient and calm if they weren’t separated from their mothers and abused like in the videos you watch!

Have you heard of an animal sanctuary?
"Don't be a part of the animal abuse" Isn't that EXACTLY what you just did, visiting animals in captivity? Hate a hypocrite
