Just purchased the BFCM deal for Peak Strength! I have purchased most of the books and courses from Garage Strength, so I have so much faith in this system. Can't wait to get started Coach. Also, can't wait to see Peak Strength for Teams come to fruition.
@@GarageStrength My return to work! I'm 42, Firefighter/EMT for my hometown department. I've been out on injury, but I'll be cleared soon, so I would like to focus on GPP. If it's part of the exposure phase then I'd like to try one of two options. Either Total Athletic Fitness, or Universal Athletic Training. Just not sure what the difference is.
It's like your dad and your older brother who just came back from college are having a chat in the garage. So much great information. God bless both of you.
I thought deloads were the same reaction to injury (back off, allow the body to repair and then recovery) except it was preemptive. All of it can be nebulous since people recover at different speeds. For example Sam the discus thrower adding an extra lift day just because he’s so bulletproof. I’ve always either integrated my deloads within the week right after a heavy leg day but that day wouldn’t be rest. It would be sled work or plyometrics or farmer caries. Something at a different pace that I wasn’t pushing myself too hard and I would get other recovery aspects like hitting the sauna or extra cardio work or hike a mountain.
timestamp please.... also... was it really goata or was it fp aka functional patterns... and yes, they really screw up, increaseing performance on key things, but some of what they do, is really helpfull they just are so onesided and always lack to show off real long term progress many sucessfull things, that got adopted from them, are using only parts from them and discard the bs
@@selda2528 Goata_matt had some criticism for Sydney Mclaughlin's training methods recently on Instagram and it was met with some pretty reasonable contempt. Not sure the timestamp brotha, but somewhere in the halfway portion possibly. I could be wrong though entirely.
u call it bodybuilding, what u use, but id call it using the weightroom and doing something non bodybuildy, that is still influenced by old weightlifting and bodybuilders
Hey is there a chance that there will be a lower cost for people in countries that don't earn that much as I am from Poland and the price for this app is way too much even with the discount. As an athlete that wants to go pro I would love to have a trusted s&c program with me. Thanks for your time
Tbh just in this podcast alone be pretty much lays out exactly how he trains people, Strength day athlete day, hypertrophy day ect also mentions the Cleans rep schemes, if you follow a prilepin chart all good

@@GarageStrength Earnest_Knuckle put me on the right path Coach. Today is my first day, and I'll be documenting my progress.
@ __ richardchavez3702 That's awesome! I think for First Responders the Athletic Fitness program will suit you best. Hope that helps

Dave gasps for breath just during a regular conversation!
Wait. They are both doing it. I wonder if the ceiling fans are on.
