In case you didn't know, alma composed another waltz called "Elmayer Waltz". She composed for the 100th anniversary for tanzschule Elmayer. You can download it on their website at Elmayer.at ballspende
This is certainly not just your ordinary "child prodigy." People don't realize how much more work it takes to produce her works compared to just learning a show-off piece.
Having the right teachers makes all the difference. And people like a prodigy. If she was older and going into a college program she’d most likely be scolded for imitating half a dozen other composers and they would try to knock her down a peg. I applaud the teachers that are encouraging her.
Only 14-years-old, she's a prodigy, plays both violin and piano at a level where she performs at Carnegie Hall, she's incredibly intelligent and insightful. On the other hand my basement apartment is a disaster and I've had no motivation for the past 5 years to clean or organize it. I really gotta do something with my life.
Her Siren Waltz, which I listened to here, on youtube, is amazing. The second time I listened to it, I was actually a bit emotional because it's reality. Waltzes are supposed to be dreamy, and she took something that we give a negative connotation to and turmed it into something beautiful. Someone in a comment said that they've heard this before, they do it in film scores, but what they miss is that this is a child. This is a child whose mind has the complexity to hear an entire orchestra in her mind. Half of us can barely function on a daily basis. Understand that this type of artistry, this classical artistry, which isn't regarded by popular "radio" anymore, when done right, is truly a gift. I've been a long time fan of classical music thanks to my sixth grade orchestra class--a class I was transferred to without my choosing, which changed my musical taste forever. For that, I am eternally grateful, and I'm grateful for this child. I hope she continues to inspire because she's brilliant.
She's brilliant ! And don't let her fool you. She can sing too when she feels the part. See Alma and Amira (another prodigy) performing her ' Step Sisters Duet ' at age 11. Quite fun. Sir Roger Moore in the audience for this one also. Enjoy.
She is brilliant, and gentle, and brings beauty with her music into the world. Music is so much better because Alma exists and translates the music she hears in her head to us.
She has been commissioned to write a new Opera due 2022 - and Cinderella will see a new production for 2020 - no date given but presumably towards the end of the year. See her web page.
At last are truly talented young person who did not need to go on one of the many talent shows to be discovered by Simon Cowell… I hope she had a long and successful career
Leave it to the Brittish to have a genius born once every generation! Sometimes it's a Newton, sometime a Turing or The Beatles, but now, it is without question, Alma Deutscher!
@Violin Accordion again...You clearly aren't a fan of Alma so why do you obsessively follow her activities and comment vigorously under (almost literally) every video featuring her? I counted 23 comments from you under this video in various threads within the last three days and even more before then. You are a troll, not a legitimate critic. Your arrogance is through the roof. What has Alma ever done to you to make you have such a vendetta against her?
Ihdc1 I’ve seen his kind before. The petty kind that are in the later half of their life with most of their success behind them, taking their bitterness out on a rising star in their same field. His time will soon pass, but Alma will shine throughout this entire century.
@@guystudios Exactly. Old people make a hobby of trashing the younger generation. From information they have revealed in a now deleted conversation (that I started under another video of Alma), this person is likely somewhere in their 60s.
Everyone is unique in their own way. Alma is unique, long may she continue to give us beautiful music, and Maybe just maybe the Queen will recognise her gift before her reign is over. ( she did with the Beatles! ).
I have not seen a 14 year old composing music that sounds mature, like an adult yet. This is no exception. She is indeed wonderful, but obviously needs to mature as a composer and find her voice. Of course she will, I will be happy to pay more attention to her and attend a concert when that happens. Most of the serious classical music fans are going to do that when her times come.
What is it with all the comments mocking her? 😆 people trying to troll a 14 year old girl that is a successful musician and composer... Who is the one to laugh at? 🙂
Violin Accordion has some sort of a vendetta against Alma. He's literally on every new video of her that gets a decent amount of attention and criticizing her relentlessly. He/she is so obsessed with tearing down a 14 year old. @Violin Accordion you are a troll full stop. If you don't like Alma, stop looking her up and spending so much time and effort writing all these lambasting comments.

and she’s SO PASSIONATE. wow. you’re amazing, alma! use this for Jesus! this is amazing. i am at a loss for words. your music speaks to my heart. i hear the color. wow.
@Violin Accordion it is probably exactly because of this attitude they have been blocked. She is an amazing composer/musician a harsh critic could render her into silence. She is still a child when she is an adult she will have to learn to live with the critics until then she should be allowed to blossom on her own terms
@Violin Accordion As a music lover myself, I can't see anything particularly wrong with her music, given where she is in her career (I suppose one could write a scathing review of, say, any of Mozart's first three symphonies, after all). If people choose to listen to it and encourage her to publicize it already, that is the listeners' decision, and I suppose that her typical listeners--of all levels of classical music education--enjoy her music more than I would expect a professional critic to do. And I will second the hope that she is not influenced (or, worse yet, silenced) by music critics who wish to hold her music to a pre-established standard; I would not expect that to happen, given her comments about the pressure to compose ugly music and her own belief that there is no point in doing so.
