no through road was absolutely incredible the acting was so natural it felt real
Most of it was real! The whole beginning was some teenage friends goofing off late at night in a car with a camera until they had the idea to turn it into a horror film.
For some reason, I feel actually like heartbroken idk why that’s the emotion I’m feeling but that’s the only way I can describe it
What made No Through Road so good was that it was mostly improvised. During an interview with the creator, Steven Chamberlain, Steven said the first part of them joking and laughing about was all real and one of them mentioned how creepy it would be if they were permanently stuck on that road, with somebody else in the car suggesting they film it, thus resulting in the inspiration for the killer.
I’d seriously recommend the next few parts of it. It pretty much explains how the protagonists could put an end to the time loop that they’re stuck in but can’t due to constant self sabotage

The lore behind this is crazy too, how theres a copy of Steve that we see when the Steve that ran away from the killer in the car runs into him at the end of the video

Going back to No Through Road from binging SSS, this is the video that gave me deep chills for a long time, the tune was probably the only thing that raised it to where it stands as being one of the most craziest horror videos I've watched.
Honestly I wasn’t fazed but I did feel some chills and now I jump when I hear glass

No Through Road terrified me for a long time, it's still scary now. The video was so scary that Cory was just watching it with no words.
In case anyone's wondering, the looping song playing in No Through Road is called My First Lover by Gillian Welch, and it was also used in The Strangers in a similar way (it also sounds significantly less creepy without all the effects and distortions, although I suppose the context of what it's been used in just made it creepy on its own.)
No Through Road is truly a masterpiece, it’s so freaking horrifying too.

Bro, im not disturbed easily but No Through Road legit terrified me. How authentic it looked and the ambience they created with their joy to agony. Even the tune is enough that it's still stuck in my head. I even thought (idk if it was there or not) i heard stabbing noises near the end when the figure got close to the car. It was so scary bro, and i have an issue wuth nightmares and am still playing this. I have a problem.

Can we take a moment to just...appreciate how good that last one was? That was the first time in this entire series where I felt genuinely terrified. The acting was so fricking real, from the characters sounding like a bunch of kids joking around while recording themselves, only for them to get mutilated and go from comical to crying in agony. The thing that got to me the most was how the camera kept going back, showing the other videos taken, showing their lives, families, how long they've lived for, the memories they've all shared, the ways they connected with one another, and overall how solid their bond truly was. And now all of those amazing memories those people shared were gone within nine minutes.
That's what made this truly heartwrenching.

I remember watching No through road at a young age and every time I’ve watch it I always feel a sense of horror and panic type emotion. It’s just that my brain automatically thinks what would I do in that situation and then I just start getting the chills. It was made wonderfully.

That “Lost” One scared me. The radio was creepy and so was the man and how the guy was closer each time and how the car wanted to run him over. It was just scary..

The last one scared me the most. The fact that it seemed so realistic of a group of friends being lost and a deranged killer unfortunately encountering them is disturbing. The part where the killer smashed one of the friend’s head in with the camera really messed me up.

The fact that Cory was quiet throughout No Through Road, it was honestly so good and it kept me invested. Definitely one of the best ones I've seen since I'm binge wantching the series. I really like videos that's like horror, mystery, usually filmed in first person and then the acting feeling like it's actually genuine - kinda like found footage i think it's called but also kind of like an ARG as well.
