Amen Daniel !!! Our local Firefighters from Kingman Arizona spent almost 2 weeks there after Hurricane Katrina. These were seasoned Firefighters, Paramedics and National Guard members and they all had very similar experiences that you just talked about.
This was a great video! Today was a very bad day for me and y’all feel like family… and I thank you, DeJay and Houston for this… I was able to laugh…. Y’all are special!!! Blessings….

Such a sad story, you told Daniel. I can’t imagine what you went through as a 21 year old. Katrina was a terrible event. Thanks for contributing to the cleanup! 👏🏻👏🏻💖💖🇺🇸🇺🇸

Daniel, I agree with you. It's all about the kids and the memories you make. That alone is worth more than all the gold in the world. Keep making those memories. Be Blessed Daniel, Deejay and Houston...❤

Hi, Daniel, DeJay and Houston! I took your advice, Daniel. I’m now a subscriber to Jared’s channel. Thanks!
My son went down to help after Katrina, also. Army National Guard from the Danville Armory. He said he saw things he didn’t want to talk about down there. I think ANY Service Members are HEROES. He says no, it was his job, it was why he joined. To help people. I’m still sure y’all are heroes. You stand for those of us who can’t stand for ourselves.
    Thank you! ♥️🙏♥️
P.S. I love mint tea! And fried catfish!!

What a great few videos. Houston looked so tired at the start of this one. It is always nice to get away but better to get back home to family. Jared seems like such a great person to have been showing you all the fishing spots. Loved when the crab stole Houston's bait. lol

I was working with the Red Cross here in Tennessee just trying to help people get the prescriptions that they needed and a safe place to sleep. Talk about people who lost everything, including family members. That was a major traumatic terrible event. God bless you and every person who had to experience that in their lifetime. God bless!!!

Not the catfish nor the frog's legs for me. But in Dominica their most popular dish is the frog's legs. They call it Mountain chicken, and they are huge. But we don't have them in T&T, except imported. I see you guys do like me and put some beer in with the fish. I actually cook mine in the beer...tasty

The end was really kinda sad, except that Ice cream you all got. I’ve never been to New Orleans but it looked so dirty and unsafe. Is not what I’ve seen in photos in the past.

Hi Daniel. Yes the storm was not good. At that time I was working in the USA at a carnival and when the storm hit we where in Baton rouge I do hope I spell it correctly thou. But yes it was not a pleasant smell nor sight to see and witnessed, As we where allowed back in to the city where the head office was and where we used to store all the rides. And boy Noting was left standing there no more. Glad to be home but miss the life I had living in the USA for 3 years. So much to do and enjoy and here where I am nothing to do at all. Bless you and your Family and sty safe. Greetings from Namibia.

I have family in Lake Charles, and some of the things that everyone had to deal with were just so crazy. Daniel. My home church sent a team down to Pascagoula MS in Oct 2005 after Katrina had destroyed that part of Mississippi. One of our church members brother lived in that community and we helped a bunch of families rebuild there houses. We never got to New Orleans but from what I saw in Pascagoula Bay and those old Antebellum homes destroyed it was mind-blowing. You would drive through neighborhoods. There would be chimney foundations or just a toilet in a yard but no house. You would see a two or three story structure were the bottom floor was gone and the other floors just pancaked. It was hard to believe how hot and humid it was in mid October.
I lived in Rocky Mount NC from 1988 until April of 1995. In Sept 1999 Hurricane Floyd took out major sections of Edgecombe and Nash County. It was hard to see neighborhoods that I was familiar with just destroyed. Any property that was near the Neuse River was destroyed.

Houston is very tired. Sure have enjoyed these videos from Louisiana. Blue gill are very fiery and fight very hard. That is what I like about catching them. When we use to fish in Tennessee, my Dad would call them bream. Very different environment. But a whole lot of fun here. This is the way we use to fish when we were little in the 60's ❤ Your time spent in New Orleans when you were 21 was very sad. Thank you for going there to help Americans. So sad the bad you saw. Thank you for taking us along to New Orleans, has such a beautiful river, and a wonderful ❤️ 😊😊 traits!
It's also so sad what had happened to New Orleans, to bad they won't try to fix it up to back the way it uses to be, if they really wanted to, all they have to do is ask for help and money to do that! I have never been here, but love see what goes on in it!😊😊😊❤❤❤❤

I lived in Slidell Louisiana for 5 years back in my 20's, I was so glad to get out of that place and get back to some sense of normality

That was an epic video! I haven't been to New Orleans since Katrina and it was heartbreaking to watch the last few minutes....such a fabulous, fun city brought to it's knees.
