As always, Maria amazingly explains, meticulously, every thought process and rationale behind the different decisions she makes throughout the mixing process. Thank you for this FREE gem!
My first time watching one of her videos. I was just thinking that yeah she says things and explains things from an angle other "TH-camr's" do not (I know shes an award-winning engineer!). Definitely refreshing insight - for me at least!
At last, I found a cool tutorial on using Soundtoys. Love her ideas and why use them on certain parts. Will look forward to see more from her. Excelente Maria Elisa. Mis respetos.
Tnx alot Justin, it was so useful The hardest part of mix is vocal mixing because of the vocals anatomy and the dynamic ranges, typically producers have some constant fx chains and templates for mixing vocals
I use SoundToys all the time and they make great gear. Where they fall short is that a huge chunk of their plugins don't have any level control on the output. I find I'm constantly having to add a trim plugin afterwards to adjust for the gain change, so I can A/B with the original. Sort it out SoundToys it's 2021!............also, why the hell are the adjustment buttons so small? Is there a prize for that?...............P.S. Great video and very informative. Thanks for the upload.
come on now Madam Ayerbe, quit putting me to shame with all that work you put into the automations. It's "funny" to me.. but I see this happening more and more often: I go watch these videos to learn something new/getting closer to the skill of the people I'm watching, but I am faced with the same aspect again and again: They put in more work. They really do. I know they are better for more reasons than that, but it's becoming hard to ignore, that not putting in enough effort may be one of the bigger reasons "holding me back". Very sympathetic and informative Workshop eventhough you put my work ethics to shame!
She talked for five minutes before we got to hear anything.. Short and sweet/getting right to the point always works ! Correction ..almost 6 minutes ..short music clip then more talking...
