Missed this live…… just got back from a punk/alt show Just watched this entire episode. You guys are awesome. And frickin’ funny. I’m heading down to Asbury Park, NJ tomorrow morning. Going to see The Bouncing Souls’ “Home For The Holidays” concerts the next three nights Happy to see “Summer Vacation”, “Out Come The Wolves”, “Suffer”, and “Valuum” all make the Sweet Sixteen. If I had to predict the Final 4 it’d be: No Control Out Come The Wolves Punk In Drublic Summer Vacation Just my opinion
Good episode, and good albums made it. Below someone said John should rank other music, and I agree. I vote metal ranking! Also want to point to the very astute comment John made on how punk rock fans always complain if something changes too much, or if it stays too much the same. I agree with the comment, but I always support in theory that it happens. I can point to Pennywise for sure, and really after "From the Ashes," I said to myself that there is no point in ever buying another Pennywise record, cuz they really do sound astoundingly similar. I do not regret the decision, and even based on what I've heard the PRR ppl comment on "The Fuse" and forward, it doesn't sound like they've gotten any better. On the other hand, you have an album like "Gusto" by Guttermouth, where the fundamental sound of the band changed SO much, and by consensus, absolutely for the worse, that people have a right to complain about that too. NOFX is actually the best example of a band who maintained a certain sound, while varying it up enough throughout their discography. Punk in Drublic, Shoes, and Valuum are all right in the center of what most consider the peak of their career, and I think those albums sound quite different from each other, but they're not going way outside of their wheelhouse. It was a sentiment I've thought about a lot before, and it sparks an interesting conversation!

Can we have John rank something other than food? Should do other music (metal or grunge maybe)
Rank Star Wars characters. :D
