I can't even remember my last one. I think it was yellow or something. I was never a huge fan.
Now I've got a blue one that's really nice for my island, though. My dock is shorter, though. Guess some ups come with some downs.

I didn't intend to reset when everyone on Reddit was shouting "don't reset!"
I was pretty confident I wouldn't. Then I realized I hate my town's layout and if I didn't reset I wasn't going to play the game the entire month before release. At all. Sorting out my old town was exhausting.
So I made a new character, moved all my stuff into their storage after upgrading their house all the way, then moved them to a family member's Switch island, deleted my old one and moved back.
I'm going to miss Lilycove, but you can't move your resident services center or airport or the beach-river openings, so... it had to be done. My new island feels completely fresh and I'm just about ready for the update. Although now that it's coming up, due to money issues I'm not sure if I can get the HHP DLC the week it comes out...
At least there's other stuff to do in the update. Hopefully that will keep me occupied in the meantime.

I'm not getting the paid dlc right away. I'm gonna play acnh with the new update until I get bored, THEN get it. Juggling two new things at once and getting bored with them at the same time seems like a bad choice. And the paid dlc might go on sale later so it's worth the wait!

@@katchatt9827 i wanna do that too but i feel like i would mentally punch myself for not buying it every time i see a vid on the dlc then i would want to experience it to lol, i think i would last a day or two before giving into temptation and just buying it, but then punch myself again for waiting so long and experiencing stuff after people. people are always coming up with ways to experience the game in new ways, plus there is the turkey day event coming soon so i dont think i could get bored that quickly. sorry, i just needed to rant bc im so excited lol. i hope you have a wonderful day/night!

Katt is genuinely such a good villager. I find she fits the Sisterly personality so well. Something about her is very charming. I hope you'll come to love her as much as I do!

The map you chose at 4.04 is exactly what my first Island map looked like 🥺💛 I haven’t reset my Island, but changed it by terraforming a lot. I regretted doing that, cause it was so special in the beginning. Makes me very nostalgic to see it again like that.

I've resetted my island as well, basically right after the direct - and a fresh start is actually so nice! Like, I would've kept my old island if I could.. but I can't afford another switch and Nintendo decided to not allow us to have multiple islands on one switch so what choice did I have, right?

@@PbNJSandwich_ that sounds like resetting was a lot harder for you! I actually stopped playing around the time of the sea creature update because I got bored. I tried getting back into the game a few times over the last year, but nothing seemed to work. Since I deleted my old island and started anew, I can barely put my switch away :D

@@Am5nda flattening works for some people - but not for me. I tried - I just got more overwhelmed. Resetting with new villagers, new native fruits, new island layout just.. sparked my imagination in a way flattening couldn't! :D

I was really burnt out and hadn't played for a hot minute. I just really didn't like the layout and everything was a mess. Then I saw the update and WOW! I do not regret resetting, its really put the joy back into the game for me! Love your vids Froggy! 💕🐸

I am stuck on this too, I have an island, wich name is awful, I dont like it. But then I love the villagers. Plus I would love to start all over just to get that special feeling. The feeling of the start of Animal Crossing, but also I am currently thinking of flattening it. I dislike a bit where the town hall is. So Im not sure either. Now that froggycrossing reset her island I think I should do it. BUT IM NOT SURE

I cannot wait for the new update! Urg, 6 days! I flattened my island back in May-June because I was sure E3 was going to feature the 2.0 update (whelp😶🌫...), it's stayed the same since then because I held out on doing anything to my island just in case the 2.0 update was coming soon. It's been quite the wait, but worth it 'cause I don't have to destroy anything! I just have a massive field of flowers to get rid of...

Katt was my starter too! I love her so much, she’s a great cat! Her home exterior fits well with a fall/farm theme too. I’m glad to have her starter interior though cause her proper one is a garage band!!
My island has Katt’s home attached to my garden/farm cause she loves plants! She’s a great starter.

After watching this I remembered this one peppy cow villager I used to have. She was really sassy. And kind of had a personality. It was nice, having drama in my island, when she asked to move we had burgers that night :) no, they were not

Oh wow! You got two of my villagers as your starters. Katt and Rod are my favorite sisterly and jock villagers respectively. Rod has a cruise ship on my island (inspired by MushroomGames) that he shares with his girlfriend, Penelope.
