Love Seaside. Very touristy/busy but so much fun. Beach is yuuuge. Flew many kites. Stayed at the Shilo, they have kitchens in the rooms so we’d make a crazy dinner and then eat on the beach around a bonfire. Very chill, cool place!

I'm goin there tomorrow for the weekend. I partially grew up in Cannon Beach, just a little passed Seaside. My grandparents have a two story, vacation house, just a block away from the beach there. They've had it there for over 20 years. First, it was a small house, but then they had it tore down, and had the one that's there now, built. So since I was about 7, my dad, step mom, and 2 brothers, would go there EVERY summer, all summer long, and almost every Christmas. My grandparents used to live in the house full time, but then they moved back to our home town, and just turned it into a vacation home. They also made it available for people to rent when they go there on vacation. Not sure about right NOW, with Coronavirus. My grandma told me a few months ago, that they were struggling a little, because coronavirus was stopping people from being able to rent it out, and so they weren't making any money. But maybe now that it's been a few months, it's available. It's a beautiful house, and behind it, are two tiny, individual, studio apartments. My uncle used to live in one of them, and lived there full time, for a long time. I remember him being a waiter, and he'd go surfing all the time. I'd actually like to move to Cannon Beach, or even Seaside. My daughter is only 4, and I'd like her to grow up in a quiet, safe, town. Maybe someday my girlfriend, and I can afford it.

Alot has changed since 1996 when I moved away. Was born in seaside and lived most of my life there. Seaside will always be my home ❤️

Ah, Seaside. Right on the 46th parallel. I love this town, and Cannon Beach and Astoria too.
