- I fully automated a fortune, but my computer couldn't handle it.
My favorite part is when the rocks get stuck in the air and I have to manually grab them or break up clumps. Hydroneer is always a grand time.

I've had much better luck when sending the dirt from each drill directly into its own grinder, then the output goes along and filters everything out. It tends to bottleneck way, WAY less since you don't have dirt getting all stupid in the way. If all you want is a mountian of gold, then you feed the not-gold off into places where it can safely accumulate - namely cauldrons and the gem crusher thing.
the new filter belts are great for setting that up as well

I’d recommend using the carts instead of pallets since items will lose collision with each other if you put them in a cart so you can stack however many items you want
I feel like one of these days in Hydroneer; he could build a coffee cup with containers and just fill it with ores.

A way to reduce lag is too use the construction hammer on placed items to lock them in place

@@moviemaker2011z it probably has something to do with the physics engine and locking them in place probably involves the machines in less of the calculations therefore reducing the workload on the system.

In my experience, the lag is caused mainly by jammed dirt or ore, because they then loose collision and accumulate at the exact same spot! A little magnet stick in there will make gold rain on your mountain!

If they just added an inventory system for even just tools it would be an amazing game, as it is it's so tedious to do anything without creative mode.
Yeah, the fact that you can only carry one item at a time is just unnecessary. Also it would be nice if the truck had an actual inventory instead of just having stuff stacked in the back.
@@cathygrandstaff1957 except truck inventory is so bad, because you would need 100x the trips to make big projects, which just wastes everyone's time. im sure you would get infuriated by it more than you wish for it.

It is honestly such an odd design choice to have no inventory at all, when the whole point of the game is to mass a ton of items. But have bad garbage clean up because it lags due to having too much of it.
Its an interesting game but poorly design IMHO.

Idk why but hydroneer 2.0 is WAY laggier when it comes to large scale production for me. Before 2.0 I was able to slap down like 50~ drills and have them all running and still get 30 fps. Once 2.0 dropped I could barely run 10… feels bad man :(

You should build a tube of blocks going down from the funnel into a smelter so it smelts it all
The drills are in that one frosty mine place, you just gotta craft them with iron and cloutium bars. I believe 100 iron for tier one drills and 1000 iron and 100 cloutium for tier 2 drills. The numbers are the weight by the way.

Fyi use carts for buying, things phase into each other on them, so you can load them right next to the buy item, and you can then load the cart on to the truck

I find it much easier to have a row of sorters take everything. Each sorter will drop gold, iron, power, and cloud into different melting pots. Gems go into a merger. It prevents the game from slowing to a crawl.
