Back in '99, my then fiancé and I sailed on the second voyage of the Triumph out of New York to Halifax. We loved the ship and had a wonderful time. It's fascinating seeing what has been done. I'd love to sail on the Sunrise to see all these changes. Almost like a brand new ship.
Very Nice ship. Enjoyed alot of the entertainment and the staff was very helpful. We sailed out of Norfolk this May and looking forward to my next trip.
I've been waiting for a tour of Carnival Sunrise for a while and it didn't disappoint! I'm so excited! Can't wait for Thanksgiving to experience the fun she has to offer!

We went to Cozumel and Jamaica, and were supposed to go to Grand Cayman, but it was too choppy to tender in. We were sailing with family, so we had 5 balcony cabins booked. That was the last time we saw a topless deck on a Carnival ship. Lol! (The men in our party got a kick out of that! Lol! ) That was our oldest daughter’s first Carnival Cruise, and she has cruised Carnival exclusively since then with her family. We also had one daughter sharing our cabin, along with our 10 month old granddaughter, while her hubby was deployed to Iraq. If I would have thought this out better, I would have gotten them an inside cabin across the hall. It was not a very relaxing cabin, to say the least, and very crowded, with a crib added to the small space. Thank goodness we had a balcony to escape to. But we all had a wonderful time after all on cruise. I just will not share a cabin with anyone but my hubby again. We learned our lesson.

Great walk through! I was on the inaugural Triumph sailing which departed the New York Passenger Ship Terminal on Oct 23, 1999. It was a typical shakedown with your common crew issues, however, Mikey Arison and Joe Farcus were onboard so the crew was sharper than expected. The most enjoyable experience for me was the 24 hours prior ... I was invited to participate in the agents overnight which was scheduled to end at 8am the morning of first embarkation, so I had the new ship virtually to myself for four hours. Very interesting! It appears corporate did a good job of converting the ship into the Carnival Sunrise and look forward to experiencing the product for myself. Cheers!

I've been waiting for a video to view the ship. Traveling with the family in August from NY. Also interested in what type of entertainment is available for adults as well as thoughts on the kids' clubs. Thanks for sharing!
If you're Platinum or Diamond, you'll get a free seating at one of the steakhouse or sushi restaurants that you'd have to pay for which is a really great deal. The food is truly amazing!
Great review on the Carnival Sunrise!! We cruised on the Triumph November 1, 2018 and we are cruising on the Sunrise January 25, 2020. I am excited to see the new changes. I was hoping the smoke in the casino would not be as bad but it appears it is. Also on the Triumph, they allowed smoking in the club. I thought that was horrible. I don't think you mentioned the club on the Sunrise. Maybe I missed that part. Also, those long lines are a concern. Guess I will just see for myself. I cant wait to give my opinion.
What do you think of Carnival Sunrise?

Thanks for watching, Troy.
If you're Platinum or Diamond, you'll get a free seating at one of the steakhouse or sushi restaurants that you'd have to pay for which is a really great deal. The food is truly amazing!
The food is delicious. Plans to sail on the Sunrise in the future? Thank you for watching.
Cruise Radio I did on August 7 for 8 nights out od NYC. I truly loved it and didn't get seasick!
I look forward to hearing your opinion on it. What was your favorite part about the Triumph? Thank you for watching.
