  • Ibiza is the third largest of the Balearic Islands. It is accompanied by its smaller neighbor, Formentera. The two islands are actually the peaks of an underwater mountain chain and belong to an archipelago known since Antiquity under the name of "Pitiusas” or “the island covered with pine”.
These very green isles became the refuge of hippies during the Vietnam War. Their community spirit and sense of celebration quickly attracted numerous followers and made these islands famous.
Up to this day, partying still knows no limits in Ibiza.
From the film: “Ibiza/Formentera - A feast of Senses” from the collection “Discovering the world”
    Direction: Pierre Brouwers
