still listening to this song this 2021. First heard it when I was in high school around 2000 and got their cassette tape at that time. Too bad someone borrows it and never returned it. I'm 34 and just realized how time flies so fast. Sometimes I close my eyes and listen to this song and going back to the old time :)
This band were great, and it's sad that they never actually had huge success as their tracks still sound good today. The thing that let them down though was the fact they looked like 3 regular guys who had been drafted in off the street. They didn't have much charisma and their stylist didn't help by putting them in boring mundane outfits. The music they made was great though. I bought this and Freaky Time.
I think they didn't have much credit more because 1 member was from Byker Grove and one was on a talent contest on This Morning. I think it was a very judgey time back then. But I loved them and still do now. These songs are still good 20 years on.
The thing that appealed so much, and which really made them charismatic, was the fact, that they looked like regular guys who dressed moderately, like one's next-door neighbor or friend. The members of most other boybands would wear something flashy-coloured or provocative in their videos. After all - most people are regular people, and have relationships with other regular people. The appeal was greatly enhanced by their being and looking much more mature age-wise than most 1990s and future boy bands in _their_ early years. Alas, the age of the classic boyband was coming to an end by then.
Back then, where is the joy and happiness. Even 14 year old daughter admitted that the music taste has changed and she wants to share the years of early 90'sand 00's. God bless you all who shares the best memos with this song
This band were my jam back in the day. Met them several times as they were based in my hometown for a while, and they were such sweethearts. I was incredibly proud of Declan getting cast in Green Day's American Idiot musical a few years back, and he appears on the documentary Broadway Idiot singing Last Night on Earth in front of Green Day.
I'm 38, I never liked these guys as a teenager when this came out, but I always liked this particular song - one of the forgotten gems of the 90s.... although that dance move at 1:02 makes me chuckle every time
Definitely a forgotten gem of the era, was thinking same as went though a load of 90s songs on a play list. Reminds me of my teenage years I'm also 38 lol
testament to how accomplished these guys are that they can choreograph such an intense and somehow energetic dance, transcending their reality, to a slow love song
They are one of the best boy band ever. I still can't figure out why they only had one album come out. I love their songs. Honestly, I have been listening to their songs for 10 years now, and seems that they will never be outdated. I love you all, Point Break!
I miss this song. Way back 2002, I was so fascinated with this song but I was too young that time to remember the title. now in 2022, it just popped up in my mind that i wanted to hear this song again after 20 years. I used google voice search and humming the lyrics then suddenly found this song. WOW. it still has space in my heart. I love this song 🥺🥺🥺
I am listening this song from 2008. I think I listen this song 10000 times.this song is my favourite song.I love english band queen. but point break band is my heart and you song is my drug.
Such nostalgia. I remember trying to learn the dance from this back in the day after catching the video once or twice on tv. Can't help but feel three men chasing a woman in the video is a bit sinister though :/
i loved these guys, me and my mate knew all the word to all their songs, they should have been around alot longer. i still miss them :( xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
What a throwback!!! Good times!! Sadly this band got lost in the sea of boybands at the time which is a shame as some of the songs were complete bangers!
lol why do i remember the dance to this? I met Ollie a while back when he was promoting his (ex)new band Freefaller- what a sweetie- I told him i remembered him in Point Break and this was my fav song and he gave me a kiss xD
On point! Been searching this for years. Its hard not knowing the name of the band and the lyrics. But I never forget the melody. Thanks to an article in Buzzfeed tho, I finally got the chance to search and dload the song i fell in lovd with when I was a teen. 😍
loved this song frm them!!i remember them being one of the sort-of "fierce" boybands back then.haha!and the dance seemed kinda pop-lyrical yeah?if there is such thing.
Point Break, which featured Brett Adams and David Ollie Oliver from UK childrens TV programme Byker Grove, who were signed to Warner Music, and who were looking for a new member. The band released five singles, four of which made the UK top 20, and an album, which was number one in three countries in southeast Asia, including Japan, and made the UK top 40. Declan left the band in December 2000

They were Brill at the time.. I was 10/11 and my mum liked them as well who was in her 30s at that time. Good for the era. X
