SeeAudio Bravery REVIEW! All BA? Brave

  • Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, but I don't see many all-BA sets coming out lately. The SeeAudio Bravery is, thus, an exception. It's a 4x driver set that does it all with balanced armatures. So in 2021, is that still enough to sound like a $280 earphone should? Let's talk about it.

    I got these during 11.11, my pair came with a broken chin slider that had to be super glued back, (Probably QC issues.) Also, I noticed my unit has "Seeaudio Bravery" stamped on the back of each IEM piece much like the Thieaudio Legacy IEMs (Something that isn't present on earlier batches from my understanding.)
    Very well tuned but lacking in technicalities. Treble can be a bit too much for some tracks. That being said, not a lot of IEMs do upper treble extension well.
    Not sure if these are worth the money given the competition.

    Nicely Done.
    Great idea about buying a cheap iem to test/show us how opening up an iem is done or could be done.
    It might take a few sets of iems. You will only learn from your mistakes :)
    My guess is a heat gun if these iems are glued together.
    You have a lot of followers, maybe others have tries this and can offer suggestions.
    Looking forward to this type of video.

    Thank you once again for a great review. I mostly listen to Classic/Crossover/Acapella type of Music, which do you think is better for me SeeBravery or Moondrop Kato? Thank

    For under $200 dollars, what in-ear model do you suggest for listening Rage Against the Machine? with that amazing response on the electric bass of Tim Commerford

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      These are my favorites under $200. squig.link/list/?price-zone=5&score=5,4
      I'm not going to make a Rage Against the Machine recommendation.

    How do these compare to more expensive all-BA IEMs like the DUNU SA6? Also, will you review 7 Hz Timeless planar IEMs?

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think SA6 is better rounded tuning and bass is a bit better, but similar on detail perception.

      @@SuperReview Do you think foam tips could help with the treble and make these top tier in the around $300 price range? I was looking at buying the SA6, but if I can get a great set from slight modifications for $300, that might be the play. I’m coming from the moondrop starfields btw. I listen to hip hop (both modern and 90s/2000s), jazz/orchestral jazz, and a tad of alternative rock.

    Have you had a chance to try the Adv Sound Furai? It's my personal favorite hybrid in this price range. There are surprisingly few reviews out there, but the ones that do exist are glowing.

    I knew the Bravery was going to be a good set once I saw the graph on In-Ear Fidelity.
    Treble extension might be a bit too much for some people.
    A bit disappointed the Bravery doesn't have a DD, BA bass won't please everyone.

    You must have the same impression with the Prisms’ cable (regarding the protrusion)…. Makes it feel not so well thought out

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The Azul has a recessed connector, so the protrusion fits inside -- I think it's a good match.

    How do you think these compare to the Hanas?

    • @SuperReview
      @SuperReview  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are different tonally and in timbre (BA vs. DD). I think Hana 21 has better bass character, even stronger imaging, and smoother treble. Bravery treble is a bit more fatiguing, but the tonality allows for stronger midrange detail perception.
