He really seems like a nice guy and pretty sweet shade at the end since there were no questions about the other girls, just Simone.
I'm glad he said the skills are not easy for Simone and thats she works hard. It really irks when those commentators say its very easy for her. She's very talented and that makes the difference.
Laurent is a national treasure. He is a great coach and a greater person. Protect this man.
I'm glad he mentioned the other girls at the end. Simone is absolutely incredible, both as a gymnast and person, one of the greatest athletes of all time and one of my favorite people of all time. But there were other world class athletes competing out there too that have worked their asses off for decades to be on that competition floor. I understand he wouldn't be asked about athletes he doesn't coach, but not a single question about Jordan, or Josc, or Zoe?
What a wonderful commentary from a supportive coach. He has her back and keeps things clear and simple. So happy she has good people in her corner.
You tell them! Simone is amazing, but let's appreciate all the other girls on this level of gymnastics.

He's so right in that ypu just cant teach or train someone to be as good as Simone - Simone is a phenomenon, an incredibly talented 'freak' of nature. Thete won't be another gymnast like her in my lifetime, if ever again.

The new era is sink or swim on the motivation, determination, and discipline within the gymnast. Simone and her family building the World Champions Center community is going to be epic in the lives of future gymnasts.
He is right; there are others gymnasts very talented and no questions about them; It seems to be unrespectable for them.
Good answers. His voice is very different than originally imagined. Happy for him and his partner to be in the Hall of Fame now, instead of being awarded much later in life. 🏆

I have been saying what he said at the end for years! 🙏🏼 All TV and media focuses on is Simone and do not recognize the brilliance of other athletes in the floor! We should pay more attention to it! ❤️
All of y'all bitching about the fact that the interview was solely about Simone need to grow up. Yes, it's great and honorable that he mentioned the other girls at the end. It would have been just as great had he not mentioned them. It just so happened that the interviewers were solely interested in Simone for this one. Her performances, the last one in particular with the floor exercise, gave them the gold. And Simone ALWAYS gives a shout-out to her teammates when she's being interviewed. Stop being envious and jealous of Simone.

These journalists are so annoying. At least ask him about the other gymnasts he coaches who participated.
