It's awesome to have you back making vids again Adam and these shots look amazing as well. I have the 35mm art and love it but I have been really tempted by the 85mm.
i watched the live stream where u were editing this images: its so cool watching the images knowing the editing and see these images in the live performance thank u for the video, i love so much your photos love from Italy
Thanks a lot for this video, Adam! Especially for talking about perspective and that different can be good, because that was the point I always felt (or still sometimes feel) weird about. That my photos don't look like "classic" concert images or that I like some shots no one seems to use (or even make?).. So to hear from someone as amazing as you are that this isn't bad .. well it was just good and it kind of made me feel better about my work. Thank you for that and all your other great tips and videos. :)
Couldn't help but laugh at the dude that said "The Lighting Sucks". Its incredible. I would have loved to be in his spot shooting incubus. Looking forward to hopefully getting a pass next time they come around Dallas, TX..
Love your videos like this! I just bought my first camera in January (just a small canon rebel sl1) and this past march was my home towns Winter Jam concert and the venue let me bring my camera and I got some really cool shots because I surprisingly got a front row spot in the concert. I loved shooting that concert so much! I hope to go on a maybe do some more concert photography in the future
How do you do a backup of the pictures on festivals? So many bands so many shows? I´ll be on the graspop an thinking about a solution to cover my photos. Did the Sigma 120-300 really compensate the canon 70-200 2.8 IS USM?
its really hard, i try to keep my gopro running the whole time but it inevitable dies or i get shots so fast I cant turn it on. I ended up with about 2 hours of footage from a good 7 - 8 hours of shooting, and that took a few batteries.
okay photogs, I need some advice. I'm semi broke, so I want to upgrade to either a 5D mark ii or a 7D mark ii. Full frame is obviously better, but the 5D mk ii is notoriously bad for focusing. soooo that's where I'm at.
I would go with the 7DM2 over the 5DM2. The ISO performance of the 7DM2 is really good compared to other APSC cameras. The focusing-system is out of this world and the 10 fps are a nice extra. What are you going to shoot with the camera? Do you want sample images of concerts that I took with my 7DM2?
+Adam Elmakias you may never see this but, you're my new role model, since I'm trying to get into the music togging biz, I've been on your videos all day and yesterday, and yeah, I have a gig today! SEE YAZ! :D
Love your positive attitude towards the lighting "issue" at concerts "it looks beautiful" we are on the same page of this, I love the ambience and I try and not fight it, i won over my OCD LOL! Few tweaks in post and your done! ;)
IMO, quality, better focus and depth of field. If you have the enough time to change between them its a great option. The trouble comes when you only shoot first 3 songs and you had to make the job.
Videos like this will forever be useful Adam, thank you for continuing to make them!

Wow, all your shots were amazing! I love the GoPro POV and what equipment you use. Awesome job! ^_^
You're such a talented photographer! Keep it up I love it! Thanks for the new videos too

More behind the scenes please!
I got to shoot Incubus once - this is bringing back wonderful memories! I managed to not flip out until after my 3 songs haha.

Love this kind of videos!
Sweet Adam! Thanks for sharing this and giving such a detailed insight :-)
Great vid dude.. good info
Hi Adam. How did you attach the GoPro in that position?
I'm looking to do the same for an upcoming photo project.
Thanks
Awesome!

why didn't you get any video footage of andrew mcmahon? the shot when he was in the crowd was really cool;))
its really hard, i try to keep my gopro running the whole time but it inevitable dies or i get shots so fast I cant turn it on. I ended up with about 2 hours of footage from a good 7 - 8 hours of shooting, and that took a few batteries.
How do you setup the focus for each shot? Do you use all the focus points on the camera or do you set it to specific points?

Tech-Lo yeah sure! hmu on insta @not.benji
Sent you a dm :)
What actually is holding the gopro on? I've been trying to do this at shows as well just can't find an angle that i like either.
Solid work. Good to see you back on here.
Are you sponsered by Sigma yet? Looks like youre trying to be and/or you should.

why the preference to primare lenses over zoom lenses?

thank you for the answer!
did you like shooting imagine dragons?
I was at StubHub the day before for my college grad! Haha
